What's the torque spec on the top mounts?

Awesome video!! Need help on an information hard to find. I'm looking to raise my MX5 NC that has Flex Z's installed, currently at lowest setting. I know how to do it but the trick question is what is the minimum insertion I need to keep in the lower mount? I don't seem to have a lot of range, but can I have only 1/4 in or 1/2 inch?

We are Tesla specific so I dont have data for Miata. Please contact Tein directly.

What STIFFNESS SETTINGS would you run for the Front & Rear on the TEIN COILOVERS?

we can review all these details after purchases are made from our website. That's all in the product support side of the company.

I have tein flex z on 2008 Acura TL, the front is bouncy, do I need to adjust the preload? More load on the springs or less?

Probably need to stiffen the damping.

Is it normal for the rear Coilovers to drop in height after driving the car? Mine keep dropping, not sure if my mechanic is setting it up the wrong way or what’s happening…
@zevcentric
@zevcentric Месяц назад
@@TeslaSoCal they do settle a good half inch since the time they are new. Suspension bushings should also be torqued under load. It can be attributed to wither of those or both. We always notify our clients up front of this and that suspension height needs to be reset once the springs have settled and a second alignment.

@@zevcentric last time both my end links snapped because they set the height too low. Now they have set the height too high but the height is still sinking on the back left ? Is that typical after several thousand miles or do you think there might be another culprit?

How much is the ride height lowered on a Model 3 with Tein's default reference values? Thanks!
@zevcentric
@zevcentric Месяц назад
Not sure. It's gonna be quite low though and the rear spring perch isn't even set. We always change it right out of the box to our own values. If you purchase from us and give us an idea where you want the car to be we can share those values.

@@zevcentric I bought a set of used ones which the previous owner purchased them from you guys. I have a 2022 M3P and just looking for a mild drop. Not too low as there are a lot of hills and inclines where I live. Thanks for the valuable information!

@@teslafybc3450 you should ask that person where it was setup. Maybe they have pics for you. If we installed it then we would have that data as well.

@zevcentric Is the preload measurement ~245mm accurate for the RWD cars as well? I noticed the reference values are a bit different in the manual. I asked Tein and they said preload should be set close to zero but that setting doesn't work well.
@zevcentric
@zevcentric 9 месяцев назад
no it's not. Please look at the instructions they provide. It's all in there

@@stevenhendler3064 in the manual/booklet there are diagrams and measurements for setting preload. They have values A-D and a hunch of pictures for you to match your design of coilover with.

What do you think of the overall build quality of these for daily driving compared to MPP or UPP?
@zevcentric
@zevcentric Год назад
Totally different price points tbh. A lot depends on your desired ride heights and so forth. Can't really make a blanket statement. The MPP adjustables are stainless steel so they will withstand winters better for example.
