As much as he is good in grammatical formulation, there's nothing more than people understanding your communication. Nothing better else you will sound like a comedian. He needs to understand that.

I like him.... he must have a very spongy brain with such use of words. I believe though that he does this to make people laugh, an invaluable necessity in politics...
He does it to keep being relevant to those in power who can provide for him and hope to be given one appointment or the other. He never concern himself with what can help or benefit his people or the masses of Nigeria.

Although Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon seems like a rather nice and educated gentleman, his mis-pronounciation of some of the English and Latin words in his speech does take the wind out of the sails of his otherwise well put together sentences for me. His Dipthongs, Tripthongs, poor enunciations, vowel and consonant mis-pronuncements and stresses are offensive to the sensitive ear of any decent speaker of the English language! The honourable Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon will do well to spend some time studying how to properly pronounce words from the Oxford English Dictionary. It will certainly make his speeches alot more interesting with added zest and will be taken much more seriously as he rightly deserves to be!!!! From a concerned fellow West African. Thank you!
There's no problem with him. I love his speeches. Some English words are derived from latin. And we are proud of our accents because it shows our heritage.

But I do like a good book and enjoy reading the classics as I should like to think the honourable Patrick O. also does. I'm from Ghana, but I count Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, Ben Okri, Cyprian Ekwensi and a handful of other dintinguished Nigerian writers amongst some of my favourite authors in the world. Cheers!
