What a great exhibition! I loved the energy and interactions that Yipes and myself shared leading up to this set! I was disappointed not to experience playing his MSP or MSS or SSC or THRAX...I really respect him for sticking to his words and running Reverse ROW and continuing to push his abilities in these situations. Iron Man has always been on my core team, but he was always considered a gimmick character before. Glad to see Thrillah show his true potential in these sets!

Ironman as a gimmick? If you have no clue don't even say anything at all. Ever heard of Combofied? Mag ironman sent is his main and that was during arcade days, even josh360 and Roundhouse have ironman in their team
Damn that was wild. Thrillah has commanding aerial control. If Yipes switched Mag for Storm, played keep away while building meter w/ Cable AA and drones assist and hailstorm would've done it? Repulsors a super good assist. Great stuff to both, easily my favorite players to watch.
We played against General Thrillah back in the days..dreamcast days. This dude is really that good, he was like one of best online players we ever played against. A friend of mine is really talented too, and he did beat Thrillah for couple times. My friend wasn't believe in become a pro gramer, so he pursued his HVAC career instead. If my friend chose to be in the tourney, he would be big now.
Also Yipes playing Chess I think. MVC2 is a game he takes as serious as any pro athlete legend takes their game, so I think he’s hiding MSP until the next EVO or major just in case they do the 20th anniversary tourneys some day, and he doesn’t want anyone getting data for later. Also gathering data for himself by playing against these match ups.

You gotta ask yourself why Yipes ain’t use his main team on here and why he did against Justin and Sanford. This was entertaining nonetheless and DEFINITELY shows General is a force in this shit. In game 4,I'd like to have some commentary from yipes. I'd like to know how he's feeling about things. He would be free to commentate for a bit since he basically didn't need to touch the controller or play
It's crazy to think how many players use MSP team or a variation of it w switching out Mag for Storm or Cyclops l...IRon M/WM and Cable is my fav team.

@@1Mic1Life IM has always been god tier… He has infinites in air and on ground, executed by himself or assist, guard break into infinite also. IM/WM are both god tier and WM has 2 supers.
This is interesting because yipes literally has characters that can get out of im guard break for free in his 2nd and 3rd slots (cable and magneto). But he doesn't try it once. 🤔
Not sure why yipes didn't start mags and keep Sentinel cable in reserve. Sentinel Cabell is a much stronger shell then cable with mags assist. Either way good set
No this is a good order. Sent fights im well, mag helps deal with cable later Also yipes wasn't using this team's main anti ironman/wm strength at all. Which is the fact that cable and magneto can get out of the guard breaks for free. Another reason this order is good, but yipes didn't use it all
One of the definitions of insanity is to do the same thing OVER AND OVER again and expecting different results. Yipes should have switched up his team.
I used to think I was okay in this game until I watched this video. Wow. Gently places controller on table and turn off my Dreamcast unplug and store it in the closet. RIP
@@michaelwoods3850 It pops out at 50 actually but by then? The meters is built up & any dope plyrs can either reset the infinite or just finishes the character with super after super after super & that character is dead 💯💯💯
@@gthrillah Iron one touch kills reminds me of the dread I would experience playing MVC1. The fear while trying to play neutral knowing that I lose the game if I get touched once, while me having to combo my opponent multiple times, all Iron had to do was hit me once. Flying up above my head like a damn fly shooting smart bombs just waiting for that one hit. I just hate OTKs in general. Don't pay too much attention to people like me, I 'm just a OTK / Infinite hater that never even took Marvel games serious. It's nothing against the player, I just hate the fact that it's in the game. Same thing for A3 Infinites.

Con el pasar del los tiempos los juegos han perdido mucha jugabilidad... Hoy día se ven torneos en donde el jugador gana con combos infinitos donde el otro jugador no puede hacer nada se le conectan el combo o monótonas jugadas como en la final de mvc3 con morrigan no se dedican ha hacer más nada que irse para atrás a lanzar poderes y el especial de Astral Vision... Las finales así, bajan el nivel del juego y ponen por el piso en la jugabilidad de los participantes...
@@mechanicallyliving Man you be projecting some inadequacies there, my guy. But I doubt any competent Marvel player, no matter the title, proclaims to need X. Because that mechanic doesn’t define the series, it’s just one option that, btw, essentially doubled the cast AND significantly expanded both the breadth and depth of meta in terms of team synergies and in game decisions per second, meaning more options available to players at any given time. Furthermore, Marvel has long been about clutch decision making, in terms of each and every moment having the potential to make or break a match. This is obviously reinforced by the introduction of X Factor, and last but not least, imho potentially the most important quality of any Marvel game ever - the scrambles. Because what I love about this series is it’s ability to successfully offer a battlefield of organized chaos. Think about Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers and all that shit. There’s the constant threat of death, ever present brutality, and very few breaks in between savaging your opponent. In other words, nearly every moment offers the chance to either mix and force a scramble, or vice versa and eat one. And X is a godlike way (in its simplicity and efficacy) to somehow augment the scramble factor that was already balls deep in MvC2. So what I’m trying to say is, it’s not about fronting or dissing or bullshit Marvel xenophobia. Yes I’ll agree Marvel 2 has some definable qualities that did not translate to its sequel, and that’s a shame, it is. But to reply using your respectful and logical tone, no one wants to watch Marvel 2 fuck boys try (and fail) to hack it when real Marvel nigs grew a pair and evolved and adapted to the brutal future of Marvel that is X Factor (can we both agree that X brings a lot to the game, but goddamn it’s a bit overpowered?). I mean, this unofficial FT7 on some rand player's channel only has 5.3K views as of... oh shit, yesterday. But this here Marvel 2 vid from 2 weeks back surely has way more views than- damn, they're the same. Of course, it's not like fans of the 10 year old fighter reverse engineered the PC version to introduce shit like X-Factor cancels (for 1.5 meters), 1v1/2v2 play, Dark Phoenix as Level 3, smart buffs for all low tiers, and brand new fully animated / playable characters (including MvC2 Sentinel and the recently announced Capt Commando), purely out of love for the game. But no worries, cause that shit's just some hype hypotheticals that would never happen to a game where “ain’t no one wants to watch (crying ass) X-Factor fuck boys”.
