every time a new COD gets released we hear "Its the worst COD since COD X" and people continue to buy this

I'm simultaneously glad and horrified that rubberbanding in a singleplayer game exists, because I had that exact problem in Battlefront 2 2 and everyone kept telling me I was bullshitting and that rubberbanding in singleplayer games just doesn't exist.

I love how they did this whole scene with them being all meticulous to sneak in a 3d printed gun (which still wouldn't work btw, TSA won't let you bring on random pieces of metal) and then they somehow have a whole ass bomb on the plane too

As with every Monthly Popular Gaming Subject™, MW3 has clogged my homepage since release as every identical gaming channel races to earn that sweet sponsor cheddar by posting essentially their own twist on exactly the same video. This is the one that finally broke my defenses and got me to click. It was the funny and accurate title. Clicked for the title, stayed for the vid itself

Has Activision ever heard of fucking compression? 152 GB is absurd. They ONLY thing they've done in like a decade to combat huge install file sizes is allowing you to split the campaign, MP, Warzone up as separate downloads. That's not enough though. I really hate how they renamed the MW series as the identical names of the previous games. Ridiculous.

Cod WWII was an awesome campaign. IMO, it was a great modernization of the early 2000s WWII shooters I grew up with. Obviously a bit cinematic and campy, but that's cod in it's finest form imo.

I bought MW2 for $70 played it for a month and never touched it. I spent $10 on Deep Rock Galactic and I've put over 100 hours in it. IMO COD is a waste of money, its nothing like it used to be. Love the videos Renn! Keep up the good work!

I feel bad for Sledgehammer, they obviously have been shafted by activision on this one. I can't believe that out of all of the cod games for the past 7-8 years, this is the one that everyone is suddenly wanting to boycott. I stopped playing cod after bo2 released because I knew it was getting worse. I've observed every cod release since, and finally, after many years they bring back all of the maps people have been asking for from mw2. People have been asking for this for a longggg time. And now this is the game everyone decides to boycott and is the "last straw"? The cod community is definitely out of their minds. Ya'll should've done this when cod ghosts released at the very least. The whole situation really sucks. I won't pay $70 for a video game out of principle. It doesn't matter how much content the game is filled with, games just simply aren't worth that much. Every AAA game has been getting worse and worse over the past decade. But yeah it's just so mindblowing to me that this is the game that everyone decides to boycott after all these years, when I know for a fact most people wanted to play highrise, skidrow, favela, etc in a refreshed version of mw2.

The worst part of all this is that they were supposed to take a break from the annual release cycle. MW2 was supposed to be around for two years, but Activision got greedy (apparently because MW2 didn't sell as well as they had hoped) and instead of keeping the game updated with content for free, they decided to charge people 70 dollars and call it a brand new game. A truly disgusting approach which I hope will result in even bigger losses for them.

2018: we don't care about campaigns. We just want a sublime multi-player with attainable camos. 2023: we don't want sublime multi-player and cool camos. We want a good campaign (*actual call of duty community monologue*)

Literally this was the result of executive interference. The devs had a vision for the next COD and the execs shat all over them. Then the execs had the devs do basically an executive's "Homercar" microtransaction-farming wishlist idea of what COD should be, rushed on a terrible deadline instead. Several of the devs said they felt betrayed by the execs, especially after being promised a reduction of crunch & overwork. (The dev cycle on this trash was brutal!)
