Now THAT is the video you guys should have started off these video segments with. Very professionally done and it gives us a great insight as to what features are available. Good job this time around!! This makes me more interested in buying one.
Thanks for the quick run down Steve!!! I just picked up my new MX Sport yesterday and this was a very effective instructional demo. I love the menu flow and screen layout out of the MX Sport already! Happy customer!!!!
Jeff, glad the video was a help. Make sure you subscribe to our channel and feel free to post any finds on our FB/Twitter or IG pages. Hope you make lots of good memories with your MX Sport.
yea when u first get one and turn it on and u see all the settings u are like wow so many features and awesome settings but its not to hard to learn because this vid thank u Steve this should come with all the mx sport it is perfect run down of how to use it thank u very much sir :)
Is there anyway you could make individual videos for all the different modes that are available on the sport and explain each setting and when to use them? Your videos are always informative and useful. I'm a new user to the mx sport and want to understand the machine more. Thanks!
Wow you just killed the intimidation factor for me ! Now it's getting the money up to buy one especially since I just snapped my m6 in half falling down a rock Boulder ! Love the m6 but now I have justification and excuses to tell my wife why I need the MXS . Great video

Thanks for the info on the coils. It is not quite what I was hoping to hear. I have a bunch of coils for the XLT and DFX, as well as both for the TDI-SL. I am running out of room to store coils. What about headphones for the MX-Sport? Does this also take a special one or is any headphones OK? ;-)
+THing4CSA Any headphone is ok. We have special waterproof headphones that will be available soon. Sorry about your coils. The engineers tried to make the old coils work with the machine but it requires a special tuning to work with the new boards.
+THing4CSA They require a different tuning and waterproof connector, so not without some re-engineering. We have an Eclipse 950 Concentric and 6x10 DD for the MX Sport.
Hello friend, I'm Argentine, help me please. I recently bought an MX Sport and I do not know how to set the discrimination so that the device only looks for gold, silver and nickel, the rest of the metals do not want them, even with low sound. As I do? Thank you!!
+Clinton Kaae The sensitivity control is like a "gain" on a microphone. The higher it goes the more sensitive the detector is to targets. But as you turn it up the machine also responds more to ground and electrical fields (like power lines). So in certain areas where your machine is being real chatty it can be a good idea to turn the sensitivity down. But keep in mind that you may skip over some deeper targets when you do this.
Deeper targets you should start with your sensitivity at 7 and work up if the soil conditions allow. Even at 7 you will pull 10-12 inch deep targets. The threshold is the "floor" of sound the machine outputs during normal operation. A higher threshold can help you hear fainter targets, but too loud and your ears will be ringing. You can set it to zero for "silent search" mode, where the machine will only make a sound when it senses some metal under the coil.
Just wondering around what threshold should I be using? Does it make a significant difference? I have mine set at 12-14 for both of my machines. Should I be going lower? Would 'silent search' be more beneficial?
If you ask 5 people about their threshold setting you will get 5 different answers - it's personal preference. On modern machines like the MX Sport a silent search will not result in as many lost targets as older machines due to the processor and digital converter. So a silent search is fine and may be a little less taxing on your ears.
Not sure for that dealer, though we did ship several hundred units a week ago. We have quite a few preorders to catch up on. You might call that store and see if they know when they're getting a shipment from us.
