@@purple_dragon4895 I saw them play it live, recognized the riff before he went into it screamed CASTAWAY! and got a nod from Mike, it was great. True story
I'm a Green Day fan, but even if you're not, this is hands down one of the best Marshall-style amp-in-a-box pedals out there. The blend knob is just too much fun.
@@YungAirheadOfficialOk, fair point. Warning has gained a great deal of fan attention over the last few years. I would’ve said that if I knew about it in retrospect.
3 parts of demoing this pedal and he still hasn't played "Blue" which would be fine, but it's on a stand right next to him! Please, PLEASE tell me he played it through the pedal...
Chris Slasor It would defeat the purpose of doing a demo of the pedal if he used blue. But it would be interesting to stack the pedal with the real deal.
@@tedcruzkidneyhunter736 well no, it would be the perfect opportunity to show that it's the pedal making the sound and not the guitar. I can buy the Dookie pedal, I can't buy "Blue." So it would have been perfect to do an A, B with Blue and a Les Paul showing that any guitar with a humbucker will get you the Green Day sound.
What about the adjustable chip inside? My neighbor loaned me the unit with the unicorn on it, a later version I assume. One can mess with two Phillips-sized screws inside. What's that all about, Billie?
gotta chuckle at the fact he was changing the gain knob, but the blend was on the left. of course the left blend's gain only controllable by opening the pedal up and adjusting the internal switch.... guess he didn't spend all that much time with the pedal. whatever, i guess it still sounds cool.
It's not an easy sound to get, Billie's (and Jason White's, same sound) amps are modded in a peculiar way, not commonly modded. You can get close, but kind of by a long shot.
Depends on your gear. I’ve been chasing Bille’s tone for YEARS with a limited budget. This pedal and a Boss Katana finally got me there and it was a godsend.
If this pedal was more like 125$-150$, it’d be perfect and probably they’d sell a lot more. 200$ for a drive pedal that’s super specific/niche and not exactly practical for every situation isn’t maybe the best price. It sounds awesome though
