Coming together for your child to give him the most love, support, and quality time with all his parents, while being able to provide each other support through the challenges of parenting a sick child in a scary world is such a beautiful thing. It’s a shame that it’s the exception and not the rule, and I know it’s not feasible for every family, but perhaps seeing you do it will encourage other coparents to think beyond the conventional when looking for what works best for their children.
