@@GregJonson according to the statsmash thing where it calculates how much ad revenue a channel gets he's getting over $5000 a month from RU-vid alone, might be before tax but that's still very comfortable, then once you factor in his other income sources that's even more stuff like Patreon (does he have one of those?) Can easily bring in more than that
This is called business. You spend years building up your brand and audience, companies work with you because you bring them value. You sitting in your mom's basement doesn't bring anyone any value.

For me, I appreciate both a great sounding amp and a well playing instrument. A great sounding amp can inspire creativity, and a well built guitar facilitates better playing because you’re not being held back by the instrument’s flaws.
Right now a well built guitar isn’t a problem for me, I have two acoustics and a lovely black, Ibanez electric. They all sound great! My only problem right now is that my distortion amp is pretty old and it keeps cutting in and out. So I might have to look into saving up for a new amp. :(
@@brettadkins7563 There are good cheap amps out there. I’m using one on my EP that I’m currently recording. The one I’m using is a Marshall DSL 40. Cheap, but one hell of a workhorse.
@@felipepassoni4301 no, he's showing his 10 *most sentimental* guitars...the whole point of a sig model is to be able to grab one off the shelf no matter what city you find yourself in, at least 20 artists have literally said that from Ola to George Lynch when asked "what do you play on stage" and they say "my sig model with no mods so I can just grab one if mine breaks".

Maybe aren't single coils at all o maybe that spark amp makes all guitars sound the same (a marketing quote "your guityar sounds as great as more expensive guitars")

Anyways, my top 10 would be (and yes, I had to google the names xd): 1. my Ibanez Premium Series RG970WBWZ-WLB 2. my ~9 year old acoustic guitar (pro natura silver series maple 4/4) from when I first got a full sized guitar xd 3. well, that's it. I'd have an ukulele but don't feel like it'd count
I still have my first guitar, an acoustic my dad bought me when I was 12 after spending several years of making it to first chairs in school orchestras on loaned instruments as an attempt to hint to him I wanted an one. My dad was not the best at taking hints haha. It's been with me now almost longer than my dad was, over 17 years and I used to take it everywhere I went, but I opted to retire it recently. A 12 year old doesn't take the best care of their guitar and I know if I want it to last me forever it can't be my main anymore. So I'm out here looking for The One. Thank you for sharing Jared, you are clearly well loved bro. The fact these guitars all have so much sentimental value is awesome.
I have the schecter c8 blood moon or whatever it’s called and it’s sick but I need an amp that can actually work with it. The katana doesn’t have enough oomph for it
8:07 This guitar is honestly the guitar I think of when I think of you and your channel, that orange SZ is just a quintessential part of your channel and way back when i was really delving into learning guitar I used to want one so bad after seeing yours. Glad to say i've got my blue Ibanez SZ520QM sitting right next to me and have happily owned it for many years now. Willing to say I love mine as much as you love yours and I am never getting rid of it
I recently bought an sz second hand. Amazing guitar, such a bargain. My les paul is a bit over the top for my pub covers band so the sz is gonna be my main gig axe, not man enough for the 10s it came with tho need to change strings haha
I dont even have ten to choose from. I have a fender player plus 75 anniversary silverburst, a seagull S6 Original, a TOD10N Tim Henson signature, and an Ibanez prestige AZ. I got the AZ by playing Jimi Hendrix, Eruption live without net, and I think it was steve vai for my step dad to get that baby, similar story to yours, but my father made me play a little more for it.
Beautiful axes. And great sounding rig. Through my computer speakers, the guitars all sound the same, except maybe the tele. Which sounds the best. 2nd best, and winning the award for "van-haleniest", is the jeanne.
I love the tone on that St. Vincent model. It sounds so cheap and has the kinda nostalgic poppy feel to it. Hard to explain. But it stood out the most from the rest.
Guitars in themselves are absolute works of art. Also, travelling to Nazareth and bringing a beautiful guitar back from there is an awesome story. I really want to go there sometime.
Instead of taking long breaks from posting skit videos or videos in general you should do update videos. I fully understand why you take your breaks but seeing your videos just helps me out a lot man

3:46 I think it's always a good idea to have at least one cheap "beater" guitar in your collection. You're willing to take more risks with the instrument such as take it on the road, modding it under the hood (or pickguard), and customizing it with stickers or paintjobs. I used to use a bullet mustang for this, but I later upgraded to a contemporary strat.
A month ago, thanks in part to your love of the instrument, I bought a blue Ibanez SZ520QM. You were right, it's a great guitar. The best part is, I only paid the equivalent of $110, and the seller threw in a Ritter gig-bag and a couple of nice guitar stands.
