Excited to see the build, and I’m looking to get a 13-14 gt in the near months. What should I look out for, or keep in mind when it comes to s197. I am coming from a 05 corolla so this would be my first cool car so to speak.
I’m getting close to finishing my 69 fastback coyote swap. I pieced everything together from all over trying to be a cheapskate and it’s been a nightmare. The cross member, the suspension, the motor mounts, the brakes. Wish I would’ve went your route and got it from one company. I’ll use rod and custom for the back upgrade. I did stick in a explorer 8.8 rear end (stock disk brakes, posi and 4:10 gears all for $200). Just had to move spring perches which isn’t hard. Keep that upgrade in mind. Ride on!
Nate I have a mustang gt 06 and when it rains something the passenger side is flooded with water inside, its not the windows or the front window because it would be wet as well as the interior I believe it comes from the engine or under the wiper, do you know why? I hope you respond thank you :)
I had a 07' v6 with the same problem. In your engine bay on the firewall, there is one rubber plug on either side of the firewall. They soak up all the water and it floods the passenger floor. Just periodically check them and push them back in.
I did that swap in my 70 mach 1. The rod and custom fits well. It's good to see the revised k member, with it notched out to clear the oil pan, we had to modify that slightly in our install. The engine will be close to the heater blower motor, and the brake booster (depending on what you use )
