Mine is a 93 Dodge Dakota 3.9 , and buddy it give me a fit, and I changed out a pile of money in parts. Turned out to be a defective connector at the ECM. The first one I ordered a pigtail from E-bay turned out to be defective, so I had to do that 50 wire cobble together a second time. Also you have to be careful with how tight you get that mounting screw because I had to get a new computer when the mount broke and I had no way to tighten the connector. There are also splices on that side you are on: one under the windshield washer container and one just above it before the fuse box in that harness that go bad. Also there are other splices from the factory on both sides of the engine in the harness where the common positives for the fuel injectors are tied together, along with some other sensor positive connections. Those go bad too. I also had to replace all my fuel injector connectors. After all... 30 year old wiring. I bought mine used 3 years ago and I finally chased that ghost out it. 173 grand on the odometer runs like new now. Cheers on your repair!!! 🍻 - AL
I just bought a 1995 Dakota Sport. It was running rough so I changed the pcv valve, wires, plugs, cap and rotor, air filter, oil and tranny fluid and filter, adjusted the tranny bands and it ran ok for about 30 miles then just died. It cranks but doesn't run. The fuel pump is working. I'll check my wires next like you said. Hope that fixes it
