My 1st time hearing TXT! Reacting to "Crown, Run Away, Blue Hour, Lovesong & Good Boy Gone Bad" MVs! 

they are definitely a giant group! all the members are pretty tall

I read Crown as being about a boy with horns that feels different until he meets a person with wings. Like, there's the line "are your wings the same pain as mine?". And through loving them they learn to love the thing that makes them unique. So because of that person they now view their horns as a crown on their head. That's just my take. I just got into TXT fairly recently but I've always loved some of their songs and if I'm honest, Crown might be my favorite kpop song, it's at least in the top 2 or 3

i don't remember which show but one time txt performed run away and all the idols started crying... like we even could see their tears. the thing about txt is their lyrics are sad while the song and melody is kinda upbeat

i laughed out loud when you said soobin might be your bias. before txt debuted, a lot of jin stans were drawn to soobin for some reason without knowing anything about him. then during txt's debut show, part of soobin's info/tmi was that "inside soobin's heart: jin sunbaenim". he's a huge jin fan and they've had so many cute interactions since then. i hope you continue reacting to txt, their discographies is one of my favourites and the boys are all great :)

TXT’s concept I would say could be summarised as ‘story-telling.’ Their entire discography is broken into chapters with each one telling its own story. The first series of chapters [The Dream Chapters] tells the story of the boys transitioning from boyhood to adolescence, with each album representing 3 stages of this transition. - The Dream Chapter: Star [debut mini album / title track: Crown / 5 tracks / March 4th 2019] - tells the story of the boys feeling anxious about changes in their minds and bodies but finding friends who feel a similar anxiety, eventually coming together under one dream to build a new tomorrow. So while Crown (and Run Away etc. can definitely be read as songs about a crush/significant other, within the context of their wider story it becomes about each other). - The Dream Chapter: Magic [first studio album / title track: Run Away / 8 tracks / 21st October 2019] - their first studio album continues this story of youth by narrating the magical moments the boys spend together as they experience new things and feel as if they are on top of the world. - The Dream Chapter: Eternity [mini album / title track: Can’t You See Me? / 6 tracks / 18 May 2020] - the final album in this series sees the boys wake up from their dreams and face the weight of the reality of the world; the boys feel lost and incomplete but continue to stick together. The following chapter [the Chaos Chapters] continues the narrative from where the dream chapter left off. - The Chaos Chapter: Freeze [studio album / title track: 0x1=lovesong / 8 tracks / 31 May 2021] - The reality which the boys realized in their ‘eternity’ album has only become harsher, as the dreamlike life the boys once lived is gone, leaving them feeling empty and frozen. This is until the boys meet ‘you’ who is able to awaken the love inside them. - The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape [repackaged album / title track: LO$ER=LOVER / 11 tracks / 17 August 2021] - This album is a repackage of the ‘Freeze’ album, so it includes the 8 previously released songs from freeze, in addition to 3 new tracks. The other day in their MMA performance they revealed the title of their next set of chapters will be ‘The Name Chapters.’ In between each ‘main’ series of chapters ‘minisodes’ are released which act as an interlude/transition between chapters. - Minisode 1: Blue Hour [mini album / title track: Blue Hour / 5 tracks / 26 October 2020] - this minisode followed the conclusion of the dream chapter and tells the story of how the boy’s face the unique and unprecedented challenges of the Covid pandemic. - Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child [mini album / title track: Good Boy Gone Bad / 5 tracks / 9 May 2022] - following the chaos chapter, minisode 2 narrates the experience of a first breakup by each song speaking to a respective stage of grief.

TXT don't have fixed positions other than soobin being the leader! They all obviously have certain strengths, but all in all they're capable of every position 👍

Taehyun actually did the growl part in lovesong, he is so talented and really did justice with his rock sound

Now that I finished the video I will recommend slower songs, they are b-sides: Nap of a Star, 20 cm, Maze in the Mirror, Ghosting, Trust Fund Baby, Opening Sequence, Lonely Boy. Their Japanese songs are so beautiful so if you want to check some out: Ito, Ring, Hitori No Yoru and Everlasting Shine are my favorites. I think for title-tracks you just missed Can't you see me and Loser=Lover, and they are both really good!

I truly believe Run Away is one of the greatest kpop songs of all time. 50 years from now it's going to be a classic. The TXT song that's played on every classic station in Korea. I love a lot of their songs and even have some I like more than Run Away but it's kind of like their Fake Love. It's just a perfect song and captures their essence so well. It's a song that could never be anyone else's.

TXT is actually my second favorite group after BTS. I'm so happy you are checking them out. All their songs are complete bops. They also have their own story line if you want to check it out in the future.

His name isn’t “Yaojun” though, it’s YEONJUN( pronounced yon-joon). And yes the one in blue hair is Soobin! 22:19 That’s Taehyun. His vocals are on the next level! 25:09 that’s Beomgyu. He has a very deep voice, which wasn’t as obvious with the vocal effects going on. And yes he was the one with the deeper voice in the previous song. Both him and Soobin have pretty deep voices!

TXT the it boys. They are the choreography kings of the 4th gen, their performance skills are also spectacular. Of course on debut people automatically had huge expectations for them as they were the first new group from Big Hit since BTS and I will say they didn't disappoint. For how tall they are their choreography is amazing, and their B-sides are some of the best in the business. Definitely worth a deeper dive.

My favorite TXT song is Can't You See Me! Yeah they got some bops for sure... I remember first getting into TXT I knew after the first song that Taehyun was my bias and he has been ever since my wrecker however changes every comeback lol

His tone is light and breathy 👍 Taehyuns voice has also recently been really raspy, and the live performances of love song do really well showcasing it! (Note that all performances from their comeback showcase stagrs are the best ones, video quality wise)

If you want something slower where they show off their vocals, i highly recomend theese: 20cm, drama, anti-romantic and loser lover (not slow, but has some really good vocals). Also not me posting 100 comments 😭, im sorry

I’m just beginning to check TXT out, so I was happy you reacted to them. I haven’t seen any of their videos before, but saw them at Lollapalooza which they killed. I really liked these songs/MVs. I think the last two were my favorites. I see the creative Big Hit touch all over them. Bang PD can not only pick them well, he puts together the best team to support them. While I am liking them all, Beomgyu’s voice is pulling at me. I watched the first episode of their reality show and so far Beomgyu and Soobin are front runners for my bias. If it turns out like BTS, I will be TXT first and then with one or two bias’ and the rest bias wreckers. LOL When each member of a group is equally amazing and personable, you just have to love them all first.

I have been a Kpop fan for over 13 years now so I absolutely mean it when i say it - TXT has some of the best albums Kpop has given us. Despite me not listening to a lot of 3rd gen music, for the past 3 years, they have been my no.1 most listened album every single year. You have to dive into their albums! Also, their concept and lore is just *chef's kiss*. It's so well thought and executed. Once you dive into it, it will blow your mind. TXT was one of the first groups to debut with no fixed position. Everyone is a main vocalist, dancer and rapper depending on which concept fits which member the best. They are so talented, it moves me honestly. Also they have such refreshing personalities. I LOVE the way HYBE trained them because they are one of the few groups who don't try to be confident, they know they're good! Also they are such relatable people, i can't. You're right, they are super goofy. A lot of fans force the 'crackhead' narrative on their idols to make them look funny but TXT fans often ask them to calm down. They're like Seventeen but more Gen Z lol. And yes, Choi Yeonjun is a PROBLEM. He has been titled the 4th Gen 'IT boy' for a reason.

I absolutely adore TXT. I'm old enough to have babysat most of them, but I can still connect with their music and love the messages they put out. Their whole thing is being a voice to their age group, so as they've grown up the music has been growing up with them. And yep, you're spot on with the assessment of super happy sound with deeper lyrics. They've had a lot of that, especially when they first debuted. You'll see when you get to a guide there's no fixed positions, everyone can do everything, but Yeonjun does most of the rapping. The scratchy rockish sound in 0x1 is Taehyun, and his voice is stunning. He trained a lot vocally to be able to pull off a more rock sounding vocal in their more recent albums, and I love how it sounds. Like BTS they have a whole universe, and it's very heavy on the magic. The story is basically these five boys struggling with the world, self acceptance, growing up etc., but through the idea of magic. They also have a Narnia vibe, with a magic island. The magic angle makes for some really lovely whimsical instrumentals and gorgeous imagery throughout their work. TXT have one of the best discographies out there I swear. There is a bit of everything, which makes it so hard to recommend tracks. Recommendations: Songs with some of my favourite vocals are Opening Sequence (heavy instrumental, gorgeous vocals), Maze in the Mirror (lovely softer vocals), 20cm (an earlier b side with an r&b sound), Way Home (another r&b vibe), Trust Fund Baby (an indie pop ballad apparently - I googled it because I had no clue), Anti-Romantic (owned tiktok for a period). Other favourites of various styles ... We Lost the Summer (COVID bop, poppy sort of tropical sound, depressing lyrics ofc), Puma (trap/hip hop maybe, I dunno, it's a bop), Frost (hyperpop / experimental / trap), Can't You See Me? (darker sound), Wishlist (super happy sounding poppy thing) ... I'm really trying not to just write out the entire discography. 😅

Their MV's are connected, they have a storyline like almost all HYBE groups, it would have been better if you watch them in order of publication. But you do you, i hope you react to all of them (cause there's a lot of MV's and short films), the evolution of the band is in each comeback, is amazing.

Their title tracks are always great, but I feel like they truly show their variety and sound in their B sides. I absolutely adore both them and their music, so I really hope you like them enough to dive deeper. No pressure of course, depending on your time and taste you should feel free to react to whoever you want.

This is crazy cause Txt is my ult group and I was watching some of your vids the other day and was like “Sir austin hasn’t reacted to Txt yet” and now here we are

You can call Hueningkai just Kai (his given name), Hyuka or NingNing Edited to add: Yeonjun is the one who had more rapping opportunities so far, but they're all trained and you can see that on their cover performances of more rap-heavy artists. But their music is more oriented to singing. They're also quite experimental on their music, and the more involved the members are on the songwriting and producing side the more it shows. They all would be dance and vocal line material on any other band, but they don't have official positions, save for Soobin as a leader. I would recommend the First Take performances for a great taste of their vocals (it's a Japanese series here on RU-vid)

Way back then, during their debut, I interpreted Crown as a song about puberty. The growing horns is like a whole new weird and unusual for them that is growing. They didn't like it, they saw it as a pain, they felt like the world is making fun of them. But time came that they saw it as their crown. They saw the change in themselves-- the puberty stage, as a growth instead of a burden. PS. Choi Beomgyu's vocals YES!!

txt doesn't have official positions except the leader, soobin. there are only few rap parts in txt's discography and 90% of the time yeonjun does it. i'm sure moas have already commented their suggestions but for me, after you've heard quite a few of their songs i recommend watching their lollapalooza performance! their live vocals are so good thank you for reacting to txt! :D

Taehyun is my bias with the voice you noticed a couple times. I don’t think there was electronic distortion. He took lessons to be able to sing with the raspy growl sound. I enjoy watching them sing on the First Take channel. It’s them and 5 microphones. I recommend Force. Yes there is a text universe called something else now i keep forgetting like Dark Star. Most of the symbols you see repeatedly, but I don’t think it’s interpretable yet. Yes, the 5 pointed star is their crown. Taehyun loves Beomgyu. yes, you said their names correctly. I think you would enjoy Soobin’s personality, but Yeonjun is the one who acts sexy. Their albums are all no skip imo. Thursday’s child is the song after GBGB which essentially tells us this bad boy stage was a heartbreak that lasts Thursday and Friday, but Saturday he can go out and meet someone new and everything back to normal by Monday. I love them all so much. Taehyun has long term career plans. I think he wants to be like Taemin at loveable superstar level

Yaaaas TXT! I’m so glad you are looking into them. I’m a huge alternative rock/punk music fan and kind fell into TXT with Lovesong and LoserxLover. There are no positions, other than the leader, in this group. First of all: I am (and have been since the beginning) a Jin bias. I would say that if I would have to claim a bias in TXT, it would be Soobin. It’s just ironic, because it seems that is apparently a trend lol. Though I could definitely see you biasing Taehyun (because of his vocals/all roundness) Soobin has me in a hold each time I delve into them. There is just something really endearing about his personality and mannerisms, especially considering he is the leader, introverted and his group all seem endeared by him too lol. It’s a thing, I’ve seen a lot of male idols really fanboy over him too. I didn’t personally want to get into them until they had aged a little (got out of their teens). Just a personal preference as someone in their early 30’s, and also the coming of age concept is not something hugely relatable to me anymore. But when I went back to their beginning to follow the storyline/history, I really saw their talent and passion. I know they had it rough in the beginning with the constant comparison to BTS (but they love BTS and Seventeen and that makes me happy as an ARMYCARAT lol) Member on the horse is Taehyun. He has some serious vocals (and magic lol). I feel like I may get cut for saying it (and I’m not comparing them musically-just know I love Shinee/have been with them for a long time and I have recently been enjoying the journey of TXT) but his visuals really caught me off guard when I started looking into them. He looks like Jonghyun from Shinee to me, like seriously he could be a younger brother or cousin. Watching him cover some of Shinees songs did not help. I had to double take in the beginning. Their storyline is very much magical (and I’m nerdy af). It’s been interesting following it and actually wouldn’t take you very long if you really did want to do it- it’s ongoing and not too far into it IMO. Frost and Eternally give me such goosebumps. I rarely feel emotional with a song but Eternally just pulls at you and it’s on my permanent playlist. Frost is hella unique as well. It would be funny to see you have Cat & Dog/frost/eternally in a video. The whiplash would be humorous 🤣 (fyi-don’t listen to me, I’m just being funny) As always, great reaction.

As a pre-debut moa (& soobin biased) I've been feeling really proud of txt lately, they've archived a lot, they go viral often and they leave a strong impact on people wherever they go.

I dont see a lot requests for Can't You See Me, but you should check it out. Run Away was such an ear worm it made me curious but Can't You See Me was the track that hooked me. Ghosting is a b-side thats great too, its a totally different sound, maybe 2000s feel, but it stays on my driving playlist.

Run Away is such a legendary first comeback....

They are having a comeback in January (no specific date yet), so you are just in time! The only title tracks you are missing are Can’t you see me and Lo$er = Lover, but also their b sides are fantastic. The b side MVs that correspond with the album title (Nap of a star, Magic island, Eternally and Frost) and all Japanese MVs are 100% storyline and especially the first three ones I mentioned are very cinematic and basically works of art.

Can't You See Me? by them is incredible, both MV and music ! This song is one of my favourite KPOP songs. Puma, from the same album as CYSM? is also really interesting. It's a bit of an anomaly in their discography and I say that in a good way. But, they are very versatile so that's not really surprising. Their last albums are really great too. Recommending is hard, they set the bar really high everytime.

My top 2 Kpop groups are BTS & TXT especially after watching TXT in concert. I realized after watching them in concert why these guys were chosen to follow BTS since they're basically the younger brothers (label mates) of BTS! Big Hit found 2 amazing groups - the performance level is so high!!!

Yes Beomgyu is the one whos singing adlibs, he got a deeper voice like V actually. Hes name is Choi Beomgyu

Tomorrow X Together are all about the concept, each chapter defines what that concept is about. Bang PD of Big Hit had a vision for this group and it is fortunate that the members are so talented that they are able to realize that vision from the get-go. They contribute musically/lyrically and as producers, much more now than from their very early years. The arc of their growth is just crazy, they were literally kids when trainees, their debut was never guaranteed. Now, TXT are considered the crème de la crème of the fourth generation, they are making headway into western media, they just did the AMA red carpet last week before killing it last night at the 2022 MMA Awards, picking up Best Male Performance. It's rumored they will be on the Dick Cavett NYE Live Show (pre-recorded section @ Disneyland). They have a comeback in January 2023; this is a good time to catch up on TXT.

Thank you so so much for giving TXT's music a chance. One thing you should know when going through their songs is that they change genres from time to time. They offer a lot of flavor to choose from haha. They depict stories of growing up through their music. Crown is about having a "pain" or something you might think is a personal flaw that people shame them with, meeting another person going through the same thing and despite being "flawed", they grow to love and accept who they are because they met someone who saved and completed them. Much like meeting friends that you can relate to and can make you not feel alone anymore in dealing with things such as growing up. For Title tracks (which I recommend you watch these first) is Loser = Lover and Cant you see me. I think going through Music Videos or just their songs in general would be better since the guides would have snippets of their songs and you might get spoiled XD For live performance and a bit more slow, I'd like to suggest Opening Sequence, Trust fund baby, Maze in the Mirror(Produced by BEOMGYU) and 20cm. Hitori no Yoru doesn't have a live performance and is one of their japanese songs but it's such a vocal treat! They do have bits of lore here and there thrown randomly on Music Videos but they do have lore videos as well which are Nap of a Star, Magic Island, Eternally and Frost. I suggest listening to the audios of these first so you can judge the music and lyrics first? Because the music video has soooooooooooo much lore it can get a bit confusing XD Listening to Eternally's audio/lyrics first is recommended before the music video. And drops of recommendations: Dear Sputnik(Produced by HUENING KAI or HYUKA for short), Thursday's child has far to go (Produced by BEOMGYU again and is a unit song), Puma, Lonely Boy(is a unit song), and No Rules. These are my recommendations for now ;) I think your bias is Soobin but might get wrecked by Yeonjun XD The guy with the raspy singing is Taehyun. He did practice that technique on purpose. They do not have a set of position except leader which is Soobin. Yeonjun does raps for now but TXT has been trained with hiphop. They all can rap too. It's just a matter of time. I'm actually more inclined to bands but I came to kpop only because of TXT. Yay! TXT vocals are so good and one of best harmonies in kpop! My favorite is 20cm, but their other songs are definitely bops! Their storyline is so interesting and full of fantasy...love it!

I think you'll really like them! They have a great variety of tracks and are really good, funny guys. They also have fantastic choreo. Yes it was Beomgyu who you pointed out a couple times with the low breathy vocals, and it was Taehyun with the distortion in 0x1 Lovesong. As you noticed they do often have dark lyrics which makes what seems like a lighthearted song more interesting. When you get around to live performances, they did a live band version of 0x1 Lovesong on KBS where they didn't do choreo and just got to stand and perform the song - I think you'll like it as you get to hear their vocals clearly. Oh and they performed at Lollapalooza! So you might want to check that out some time. Some MV tracks you might want to check out next: Can't you see me, Puma, Cat and Dog, and Frost (I prefer the Frost performance video but there is an MV too). Ballads are not really my thing so these are all bops in one way or another.

You called it! There are no official roles in TXT, except for the role of Leader (Soobin). That being said, Yeunjun USUALLY does the raps (but not always). Taehyun was the one that impressed you with his rock vocals in Lovesong (his voice is amazing). And you correctly identified Beomgyu as the one with the deeper voice. Hueningkai has a ton of nicknames. His legal name is Kai Kamal Huening, so mostly people just call him Kai to shorten it the most, but that DOES get confusing for EXO fans. So, there's other nicknames like Hyuka. Unlike the others Hueningkai couldn't use his given name as his stage name because Kai was already using it - so he did Lastname+firstname which is why it's so long. If you like the rock sound, and you want to do an album listen, I'd recommend listening to their album Freeze. They also have a performance video of their song "Frost" which is AMAZING.

The growth in TXT discography is so insane! The diversity is so good and the sound is getting bigger and bigger! Throughout all of these song you can hear a story, and this is what they are trying to convey, txt is basically a story for youth :)

YESSSS! My babies! If i were to describe the boys and their music in one word: it would be growth. You listen to a song like Crown and then listen to 0x1=Lovesong and think to yourself: are these songs by the same group, but then you realize that they are because their music has been growing along with them as they’ve gone through these changes slowly as they enter adulthood. Also; Yeonjun and I are the same age so it does feel like with the other members, I have 4 other kids to watch and be proud of. They also have their own variety show called TO-DO where it’s basically like Run BTS but it’s TXT and they do games and challenges and get taught flying yoga and stuff. You’re gonna love that. Best way to start my Monday morning. There’s also a show that they did during their debut days called “One Dream TXT” which documents them on their U.S showcase tour. Ok here are some fun facts: During the promotions for Blue Hour, Taehuyn and Huenning Kai got to be hosts for the EBS show, “Listen Radio,” where they listened to teenagers concerns. Yeonjun is the host of Inkigayo on Sundays. Soobin also got to do some MC work as a Host for Music Bank for almost a year and a half. If you haven’t watched the Dolphin stage that he did with his co host Arin of Oh My Girl, please go watch it. Beomgyu produced both Maze in a Mirror and Thursday’s Child has far to go. It’s so hard to recommend songs because in my almost 10 years of Kpop, i haven’t cried to a K-pop’s discography as much as I’ve cried to TXT’s. Their Discography is just….. Incredible. My favorite thing about TXT is that I can always expect different styles and concepts from them, I never get bored of any of their content, and also they have a closeness to the fandom that I really like, they're really fun and it's like interacting with a distant friend to me in some way (not parasocial khfasjf😅)
