thanks! these five foods are all my favorites. I love dried pineapple, it is true you can eat too much dried fruit, I found when eating the dried pineapple I could not stop eating eat. I prefer walnuts over almonds and pumpkin seeds too when I make Trail Mix.

So Dr Lustig (author) metabolica keeps saying fructose is worse than sugar creating more fat storage in humans. He seems to indicate this applies to the whole fruits as well as the fructose that's been stripped from the fruit. Could you please explain more about all this dr. Li .... I thought I was doing a great thing by eating apples w nut butters for snacks but he suggests the fructose fat storage effect is even worse when fructose is combined with high fat combined....

​@The_Rizz_Lord_ Fast for a total of 10 days- every 2 days, eat a handful of walnuts... so, on days 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, eat a handful of walnuts. At least that's how I would do it.

Be careful because some dried fruits contain more sugar than fresh. A dehydration process can concentrate the sugars.

I always pre-pack several snack-size baggies with walnuts & un-sweetened dried fruit, or sometimes snack bags with blueberries. They’re easy to grab on the go & I’m not tempted to choose unhealthy items. Thank You for another helpful video! Now I will add dark chocolate & strawberries to my snacks. 😋

When looking for dark chocolate, choose brands that don't contain heavy metals like lead and cadmium. They are really harmful ingredients in chocolate.

Might look at wild blueberries instead of conventional bc they have double anti-oxides. Wild is also in return very low if any pesticides bc they are wild and not grown like conventional

Check for phytates. Soaking removes them. Phytate removes nutrients so there is no nutritional benefit. Not certain of weight loss angle.

Another interesting video , I eat a small amount of walnuts a day ,not to many as they contain copper, I read that your supposed to soak walnuts in water before eating them ,to benefit from there Nutrients, so I tried that and they taste disgusting, do you still get the same benefit if you don't soak them ?

Not certain if it is a nutritional benefit of the nut when eaten. Many seeds and nuts contain phytic acid which basically removes any benefit nutritionally. Im gonna look into this, but I soak.

Good question - I also get immediate arthritic pains in my hands when I have it and get swollen glands Maybe the dizziness is from the caffeine?

Please, fact check yourself. Bill Gates has no ties to "Apeel". Apeel Sciences is a company that makes a product called "Edipeel", which is described on their website as an edible coating for fruits and veg to keep them "at peak" freshness. His and Melinda's foundation funded 2 studies on it in 2012 and 2015 and there is no other evidence or record of his association with that company since. The fact check done on that claim on TikTok was actually a document the AP found on a cleaning product also called "Apeel", which had no association to Apeel Sciences. Those types of coatings have been used for a couple centuries now and are typically made from fats and oils. Which can be washed off quite easily with vinegar and water.

Fill a bowl or the sink with water and 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Let sit for 10-15 minutes rinse and dry thoroughly. Store in a glass container in your fridge.

They are anti-inflammatory so likely ok. Tell your doctor to run an IgG test to measure your level of inflammation and then get it tested again a few months after you start eating them and see if there’s an improvement. I eat them daily and I have AIH. I’ve never had a doctor ask me about my diet or lifestyle.

You mentioned dried fruits, but don’t we have to watch out because like you’re trying to lose weight we have to be careful on some of the fruits specially if we’re buying the package dried fruits now I can understand making them homemade dried fruits because you’re not adding no sugar

I’m confused. Snacking on walnuts and chocolate seems to be questionable. Both items are calorie dense and contain large amounts of saturated fat. Small amounts might be good but “snacking”? I doubt it. Dried fruits are also calorie dense, same story- small amounts may be good, but “snacking” on handfuls is going to add too many calories. Don’t get me wrong, I consume each of these items, but I am careful to limit the quantities to one ounce of nuts and seeds, one small square of dark chocolate (27 calories) and a small amount of raisins and dried cranberries (sweetened with apple juice) in salad or whole grain baked items. I think that adding items to meals rather than snacking is a better idea.

The study also had diet counselors, possibly personalized meal plans. At weigh ins, those that did 1/4 cup of walnuts along with diet lost more than group that did not eat walnuts daily. Not choco AND walnuts. 1/4 c walnuts. Boom

He said 1/4 cup, 30 grams of walnuts. There's only 2 grams of saturated fat, the rest is polyunsaturated. Dark chocolate, he says 85%. It's not easy to over eat 85% dark chocolate. Dried fruit, I agree, but he's speaking of specific dried fruit... 1/4 cup of dried apples. The important tip he gives is that you must limit the quantity. "Snacking" doesn't mean mindless eating, but rather something that's not your main meal. That's a problem for me, because I don't eat between meals.

Choice of food: the Creator is our guide, go to the Bible: Genesis 1:29 this is the recommended perfect food for the first perfect human, before sin. The Maker of us all knows what is good and best for us. Temperance: in all "good things " and , " good healthy foods" be temperate and of All that is bad, "AVOID." Snacking? Let us all be wise, Give our body , Rest! This "Awesome "machine could break down if not given, also, a sufficient time to rest, not only during the night but also during the day. = also, it can increase risk of insulin resistance, which can lead to weight gain because the body burns the food you just ate instead of the stored fat you're trying to rid of.

This is nonsense. Strawberry puts on weight since it has sugar. Walnut has energy, if unused then weight is put on. Dark chocolate - definitely put on weight

Do to unhealthy amounts of heavy metals in Dark chocolate it is best not to eat it every day. I would have 100% dark chocolate but only 3 days of the week. Don't over toxify your body.
