Last time, I sleeved a Flesh and Blood TCG blitz deck 6 times. MOST viewers wanted to see me do the same thing with a Magic: The Gathering Commander deck or a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck. I decided to go for the big one and picked up a Magic The Gathering Commander deck from MinMax games! Will 8 sleeves protect the cards from water damage? Let's find out!

This answers at least one question: If Yugi hadn't been such a cheapscate and had properly Octuple-sleeved his deck, he wouldn't have had any issues at all when Weevil threw his Exodia cards into the ocean.

People tremble at the thought of shuffling such a monster, others cry over the thought of how expensive all those sleeves cost, and some go into mass confusion trying to figure out what would make someone do this? But there are those that see the true potential and power of an 8 sleeved card. Being able to use them as water proof utensils!

I believe a sleeved yugioh card fits into a standard magic sleeve so I think it’d only actually add one

I recommend doing this with yugioh cards because they are significantly smaller than magic ot flesh and blood, allowing for more sleeves

Fantastic video! Not only was it entertaining it was also very well done. You did a magnificent job telling the story and conveying the mood at different points. Funnily enough, the ideal way to transport an octuple sleeved deck is also the ideal way to shuffle it - loose in a backpack I don't remember what deck it was (probably a Battle of Wits deck) but someone mentioned they once saw someone shuffling a deck by just shaking up the backpack it was in, simply because the deck was too large

I wonder if sleeving them opposing ways each layer would make it more proof. It should mean the water needs to spill through all the outer layer, to even attempt to slide into the second layer.

Im content knowing that four sleeves will keep out most water even after some time. With care still taken, 3-4 layers is all you should need, and it can still be legal without cutting sleeves.

First of all Definitely Peanut m&ms Also, you should try nerds gummy clusters if you like skittles Secondly I'd like to reduce your suffering, but also in a way that I will not get any likes anyway. the project: a 4 player playmat optimized for UPF, and play with some upgraded round the table decks or any other upf decks with flake and some other people

Next you need to do a mineral oil "sleeve." Just show up to the table with a shallow tray and 5 gallons of mineral oil. I don't recall any Magic rules about the phase of matter of your sleeves.

You gotta use the water surface as a playing surface You could use two inflatable adult sized floaty rings with two pool noodles either side to make a little wave barrier to keep the water stiller (will stop wind drifting the cards as much) Please Bonus points if you do battle of wits

You can actual do this with less sleeves done it with 3 sets but i prefer 4 the Key is making sure that all air is out of them this way by the 3 sleeve you lock the air from moving inside the first 2 key to this is as your slide first sleeve into second sleeve push the air out of first sleeve before you hit the end of second sleeve giving it a vacuum but ha.
