I remember quite well the time we went to Disneyworld just after we had Christmas with my grandparents in Palm Beach 1975. Wow 48 years ago. Epcot was under construction. We lived in Indiana. Its great you have the video from 93. Great memories.

My wife and I really enjoyed that Jay. Especially Tomorrowland Speedway and your sharing about your dad at the end. On a side note; we've been married 30 years and my first trip to Disneyland was on my fifth birthday. Happy New Year!

My brother sang at the Candlelight Procession 3 years in a row while I was in Jr High. My Dad drove the Choir Robes each time; so I have some Great Memories of those times with him. I actually found a double-barrel pistol in the 'caves' near Swiss Family Treehouse, that you had picked up at the beginning of your video. You were such a rambunctious LiL' Fellow just like I was at that age. Thanks for sharing and taking us down a part of your childhood memory lane. I LOVED this video Tampa Jay. Very reminiscent of your movie locations videos however this one of course was special. Lining up your ‘24 footage with your dad’s ‘93 footage was spot on. Well done J. It’s one thing to have beautiful family memories but to have them captured on video is a blessing. Long time lurker, first time commenter. This is one of my favorite videos you have ever posted. I couldn't help but feel the nostalgia parallel to my own memories of my time there as a kid. I know we're pretty close in age as I am 40. I grew up going to Busch Gardens with my dad as we lived just 20 min from the park and I wish we had more pictures or video of those times. My dad has been gone for over 12 years now so I related to that aspect. Thanks for doing what you do

I really enjoyed this nostalgic video my friend. I never got to go to Disney World when we were kids. I also never got to be at any Disney park with my parents. They did get to go to Magic Kingdom with my brother and his family, but not with mine. Both have passed away. I got to ride 20,000 Leagues once before it closed down. I remember it well. I don't remember that show that you showed us though. I don't even know the building it was in.

My best memory of Disney World is being little and looking at all the small vinyl figurines of all the Disney characters in bins and smelling cherry pipe tobacco from a guy inside the souvenirs shop. I also remember meeting Chip and Dale at Breakfast in the Contemporary. Every time I see Adam the Woo there it brings back memories. Especially seeing the monorail pull into the building. This is a really great video of you.

December 31st, 1993 I was living in Gastown, a neighbourhood near downtown Vancouver, BC living on an internship that paid minimum wage in a fleabag hotel and surviving on McDonalds, pizza delivery and 7-11 nuked yet still half frozen burritos. That night I went with my buddies Rob and Jay to see the Vancouver Canucks lose to the San Jose Sharks in overtime, then we barhopped all night, to be fair I don't remember much after the hockey game. My ex-wife's brother Phil and his girlfriend took her and their mom to San Francisco for a family vacation, they had tickets to see Nirvana and The Butthole Surfers on New Year's Eve. Bobcat Goldthwait opened the show with some stand-up and Phil recorded it all on audio cassette for me. Lost the cassette not long after in a move to Winnipeg.

This was extremely cool. How awesome are you sharing this... your big heart comes through. Makes me want to simplify life.

Thank you for your awesome trip back in time I had to reset around between three and five. All I remember is writing Dumbo and 20,000 leagues under the sea. The only memories I have. happy new year.

I still have my mom/sisters 1994 footage. It's really great stuff since so much is long gone like World of Motion and the Jurassic Park exhibit at Universal. I was a tad to young at the time, but I watched that tape so much growing up making it nostalgic in its own way.

Thank you for sharing this! It brought back memories of our family trip when my boys were 7 and 14 in 86 or 87. We lugged around a huge rented video recorder. We also went to Epcot on that trip. I have the VHS tape here and still have a combo VHS/DVD player to play it on! On another note we bought the trip through the old Disney cable channel at a great discount! So many great memories!

I loved watching this! Your little boy you reminded me so much of my own son. Whenever a video camera came out he would ham it up. We still have videos of him jumping into a swimming pool with other kids and he would be hollering to his Dad, "Get me! Get me!" He loved being the center of attention. To this day he is the master of corny jokes, but he is not quite as much an extrovert as he was as a child. Everything you showed at the Magic Kingdon was so familiar. (Pirates of the Caribbean selling women, not chickens...) My son was 15 in 1993 and he and his best friend had annual passes so we would drop them off for the day when there was no school. My husband and I also had passes, so we knew the park inside and out. The first time we took our son he was 6 and we have some pictures, but no videos. I got a camcorder around 1996 and took it on Big Thunder Mountain and watching that video of me laughing and screaming is hilarious! Our favorite place since our son was little was Casey's. We would get hotdogs and sit on the bleachers in there as he watched Disney cartoons on a big screen. The last time my son and I went there together he was almost 30 but still enjoyed doing that. I have a picture to prove it! Thanks for sharing your memories, especially since it was in memory of your beloved Dad.

I was a freshman in high school. I don't know what we're doing on that date, but we were probably getting ready for our little New Year's Eve party. I think by that time we were ordering Chinese food. I don't know what we had to eat besides the snacks for New Year's in the past. We've watched New Year's Rockin Eve with Dick Clark years before Ryan Seacrest took over. Then, our local broadcast from Chicago would do their own New Year's Eve show. I remember one year that one of the female news anchors was with this one guy who had a goatee, and they were like dancing around very funny, and I think my mom said that they looked drunk. This is after we had done the countdown to the new year. We were laughing away at the two hosts. You know, at that race track in Tomorrowland, when you've hit Winner's Circle part, getting ready to get off the ride. You almost sounded like you were about to cry. I've lost my dad last year, and I am even more emotional as ever. I know you feel losing a loved one. I've been through it myself. Those pictures and those video clips you've shown were heartwarming. The parts of you just being a goofy kid were funny. You singing the Tiny Toon Adventures theme and yelling out, "HAPPY FUNNY NEW YEAR!!!" I went to Disney World with my brother, my mom, and my sister. It was a big surprise. This was I think, the night of Easter Sunday, and we're going to stay for a week because we were off school for a week. It was so much fun. I loved the video. It's a great way to relive the past.
