Thanks so much for watching todays video! :) This was definitely kind of a shocker for me... I cant believe they tried to tow my car for this, it makes absolutely no sense. The main reason an apartment complex with designated parking spaces would have you park your car that way, is to make sure your license plate matches the designated spot. I use to live in an apartment complex with the same rules and that was the reason they gave me

That makes sense. But this place didn’t need my license plate number for the spot I reserved so that wasn’t it for me. My new place lets me back in though.

They manage the parking by comparing plates to plate numbers on record. This helps them remove unauthorized parking which limits others parking in your own space. Backing in often hides the plate making it more difficult and time consuming to manage. It is actually a service for the residents.

Cars that are backed into parking spaces have fewer chances of break-ins happening since its easily viewable. Threaten them with a lawsuit.

I/we are not permitted to back into our carports in the apt complex we live in California. We get cited and are subject to tow, as well. We always assumed it was due to the likelihood of hitting the above storage cabinets, as most cars are higher in the back than in the front (i.e - My Outback). My WRX would have zero problems.

When I was trained to drive a company vehicle we were required to back in to every spot. Our quality control people would actually cite us if they showed up on a job and found our vehicle parked without being backed in. It's considered safer because before backing into the spot you can easily see the spot is clear of obstructions or children. And then when pulling out, driving forward is much safer than reversing.

I with ya on the apartment, I just paid to get out of my lease too, I move in 2 weeks. There is no way I could stand to live there for 9 more months.

Just a guess here but the reasoning behind the backing in rule might be so the towing company can view license plates. I'm not sure what state you live in but in my state front plates aren't required.

What the hell does ot matter if u are pulled in or backed into a space? Some cars are FWD some are RWD and some are AWD. So depending on the drive type it would make no damn difference to the tow truck.

Ben, try and find a house with a garage. Apartment living SUCKS ASS. Just my advice. Oh, and never use your wide angle lens if you're using a model (as you probably already know). Unless you want her to look like an umpaloompa. LOL
