Remember a few months ago I emailed you that my banana new growth was sick. I figured out why. The spider mite spray I used would get into the cavity where the new leaf unfurls and it would burn the new growth. I stopped using that stuff, luckily the bugs went away and my banana is looking bigger and better than ever. Your bananas are looking huge! They must drive you bananas 😁😁
Mystery banana may be Rojo zebrina. I think I saw it maroon or red underneath the leaves. Beautiful update Come check us out and see how our bananas are doing Peace N Love
Been waiting on this update! You have two of my favorite bananas! I have wanted bordalons and the pink lady bananas forever!! So cool to see them in your garden my big ice banana is probably 15’ tall still no flower seems like it every year?
Great update! Your bananas are looking fantastic. It's been a cool and damp summer here in the UK, so my bananas have grown very slowly. Only really the Musa basjoo that's done much. My Dwarf Brazilian has done the best out of my edible ones.
Thanks for the update, Peter. I would think that under normal growing conditions, that the long days would provide decent growth. I guess the warm temperatures need to be the catalyst.
@@SimplyBananas1 yeah, it’s barely getting above 68°F in the day over summer here. So growth really seems to slow down. At night it has been going down to low the 50s. Annoyingly that’s quite typical here at this time of year.
Those mystery bananas look like baby dwarf cavendish bananas. They get that maroon variegation on their leaves when they're young and then they lose them when they get older.
