It sounded a bit rough in the garage when you coaxed it into life but was pretty smooth for an oil burner once you’d got it spooled up on the test drive. Nice job👍
Subframe is absolute doddle to drop on these and golfs etc. Column pinch bolt, PAS wiring at battery and rest of bolts. 20 mins max. Alignment pins £15 on eBay. Makes life for this sort of stuff, gearboxes and back of engine repairs soooooo much easier. 👍🏻

Just looked at the other vids and noticed the car was purchased with a knackered oil pump drive? Ive seen there are a lot of VWs and Audis for sale with the knackered pumps. Are they ok to take a punt on? Does this loss in oil pump pressure not starve and kill the engine? Did the guy who owned yours manage to switch the engine off straight away?
@@SavingSalvage Does this mean you have screen with pressures on all 4 corners on, or is it not that advanced?! Forgot to say, maybe plug car in and regenerate the DPF before MOT.
Hello, I have just bought a 2008 A3 1.9tdi and the battery light is coming up on 1 turn of key also it struggles to start and when it does the engine cuts out at low revs at junctions. Sometimes goes into limp mode. Battery was changed this winter and the seller claims nothing like this has happened to him. Do you have any suggestions please? Many thanks.
@ 8.49 there was quite a movement on the engine front to rear. Do these have the dog bone mount on the rear?? Maybe worth having a quick look but I’m no mechanic so the engine may rock like than on start up 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ Who knows 😂
Jarrus Killa I did 3 sets on cv boots in my car in under 4 months all due to poor quality cv boots. Lesson learned and no more cheap parts. From now on just quality parts. And the mess, you tell me about. Glad to see he was using blue print for the sensor I think. At least I saw a blue print package on the floor.
I love your videos and i just subed too :) i drive an A3 1.6 tdi that has a slight hesitation which no mechanic was able to fix. no dash light no nothing ! i changed the Maf sensor as well as the coolant sensor and carbon cleaned the engine too. the car still hesitates in 1st an 2nd gear ( not all the time) anyone could help please ? Peter Philipse boot spreader are only good if using stretchable boots otherwise you risk the spreader to blow up in front of your eyes like it happen to me another day.
