Awesome haul! You keep complaining about trays being upside down in boxes, but the 10 times you've opened the Mindstorms Expansion set to show the foam balls you keep putting back in upside down 😅

I was hit with a wave of regret when I saw that model team truck. I sold mine years ago. I miss model team so much. Great theme. I hope you can get it back to its former glory.

I love the truck builds. It’s hard to manage large collections and at times you have to part with things to make room for more. I think about all the sealed pirate and castle sets from the 80s and 90s I had that I sold on eBay 20+ years ago . I got great prices selling them then but now they look like I gave them away

Nice haul! I loved those model team sets back in the day. When I was a teenager, I saved up my money to buy the set with the flatbed truck and helicopter. It was my first big LEGO purchase. Man, I wish I still had it

the smallest of the Friends sets has a second interesting piece beside the scooter: an (almost exclusive) helmet in coral. Who knows, if Lego will do a space torso for that soon and people get crazy like with 8777 (where it is dark purple). For a good bricklink store I mostly don't care about the part count - the lot count (if it's not inflated…) is much more interesting. I currently own a bit over 19000 different pieces (not counting stickered ones) and almost every set still adds a few more. So when completing old sets, I usually need a LOT of different pieces in low quantities.

Hey Jaabo Lovely Model Team set. Fingers crossed the majority of pieces are in the box? It’s frustrating when you need only a couple of bricks to complete a set, and the ones you need are either super rare or super pricey, or both! Mrs H just picked up set 10218, the modular pet shop for an incredible £26 or $33. It’s was almost complete apart from 3 easily found elements and one pearl grey Belville bucket. There’s a single U.K. seller with the bucket. I have it in my cart and I’m hoping the seller processes my order today? If not, there’s a few in Europe. But, we get extra VAT, import duties and exorbitant postage costs on top when purchasing from Europe, grrr!

Model team is sweet. I pieced together a Whirl n Wheel (black truck with helicopter). Couple of years ago after finding most of the key pieces in a used haul. I've thought about going after them too

I agree with you keep it at 3 times or more and you can’t go wrong. That’s what I try to do with my store and it seems to work. Appreciate all your videos!

Hey Jaabo, as seller I mainly do vintage, in my eyes the 'easy' money is inthere. My strategy is buying very small lots where i see something of value that already outweighs the buying costs. Buying 100s of kgs of bulk equals to too many 'b quality' bricks, with scratches etc, broken things, etc etc. I have bought 15eur lots that made me 400euro. But as you say, mostly i keep at least the 1/3 rule. I do sometimes buy some smaller sets for parting out, but mainly because of (lack of) storage room for parts i try to mainly focus on used parts, that are A / 9.5/10 quality. I probably price my parts too low, but i have some rare items that make up for that bigtime whenever i sell those. I mean rare 1 brick for 30eur, you gotta sell alot of 0.02eur parts for that. On new people pay you for the parts, on used they pay you for the work :) And yes, I've done similar several times: Bought bulk for 50€, build a dozen sets of that and still added ~250€ of left over pieces to the inventory.

Great haul. Could be one of mine (I wish) Model team and Belville. I have the white truck and now working on the black with helicopter and the hot rod. Is the big box a Lego thing or wallmart because I almost never seen those packs in Europe ?

That model team set is beautiful. All of them have aged extremely well, in my opinion. I will hold my breath that "99% complete" means you got all of the expensive parts for the truck and jet

I’m about to open a bricklink store. I have about 40k new pieces of Lego. If I don’t sell a single piece, at least I’ll have Lego to play with my Granddaughter!

As a seller I don’t worry about it but as a buyer I do because MOC builders never know what obscure pieces they’ll need at any given time

the fragile mast pieces (a lot of them!) are the thing critical on 5591. And the one exclusive print (which is there). The rest is more quantity that rarity - almost 1200 pieces.

Jaabo, i have a question. As a seller, do you 'tag' or 'price' age accurate bricks differently? In the sense of 'your red 2X4 used bricks, do they range from the 60s up to now?' I got a bunch of pat pend and filed pat pend bricks but i don't really know what to do with them, since i already have A quality used red bricks from (lets say 90s till now) in my store. Would you make a different lot for those and describe the age or type there? Or would you just throw em all in there. The main reason i ask this is because of color difference. If i would order 100 bricks i would love for them to be the same type, i think everyone would like that? Thanks, Kevin

Jabbo I was at a target the other day and found a mighty bowswer for 132 dollars with it being 270 everywhere else I had to get it even though Mario is not something I like or collect, was this a good buy ?

The box sizes are getting ridiculous, i have set 107-1 and you can barely fit all of the pieces in that box, but now with the boxes of today you can add 14 different sets inside.

You know, it's hard... Like sure it has a good part out value, but I feel like those big 4+ pieces would never sell, also depending on your store size, if they needed that pieces plus a lot more you also happen to have.
