you could buy a tracking collar for hendrix so that wherever he is you can see him it would save you worrying if you haven’t seen him for a while

For the fly masks I 100% recommend the Cashel Crusader fly masks, they come with or without ears and with or without the extended nose piece. They also have patterned fly masks. You can also get them embroidered with a monogram there name or something like that. They even have a forelock hole which is really nice if they have a long forelock so it won't get in the way.

You could use au cream on finn’s nose. I use it on my horse cause it is pink and it works like a dream

Hi! I have a palomino as well, his nose gets burnt so I recommend using water proof horse sun screen so it won't wash off when they drink

You guys helped me a lot today! I was riding my horse when a nail went straight into his frog. Watching your videos has helped me in multiple situations and what to do! got off and instantly called my trainer. Luckily it didn't seem to hit any bones or tendons and bleeding stopped in about a minute after the nail was pulled out. Now we soak it, clean it, wrap it, and keep an eye out for any lameness or infections. fingers crossed!

Because of corona I haven’t been able to go to riding and tomorrow I will be able to ride for like the first time in 3 months! I’m so excited, I can’t wait!😆😆😆 Love you guys ❤️

Horses need to lie down a certain amount of the day and night . You just dont see them as they prefer when its quiet. She has clearly settled in very well and is very happy

I don’t know the rules in Canada but in the UK we are allowed at local shows not intentional most of the time but we are allowed to do lead rein classes ( with a lead rope ) or there is shows for under 6 that I helped my sister in

Ha ha, Jacob has made my day, hilarious 🤣 What lovely kids though and have obviously been brought up well 👍 Some horses don’t seem to like the longer noses on fly masks and will rub to get them off, so can be good to get one with velcro, then at least you can reattach it 👍 I’d also recommend putting sun cream on Finn’s nose when it’s very sunny out as it is quite pink 😊 There are a lot of factors to take in to consideration with the hay feeding amount, the quality of the hay, what else the horses are getting ie grass/hard feed, work regime and some horses just need more to maintain weight than others, As you’ve probably seem, a horse doing very little work can pretty much live on hay and a balancer and it’s often good to look at the hard feed amount first when reviewing feeding. I might have misunderstood you, but are you saying the horses get roughly 15-20Ibs per day each ( I know it’s hard in the field) and Finn less? So for example you’d aim for Chino to have 10Ibs during the day and 10Ib at night, as that sounds about right 👍 As they’re on some limited grass at the moment, I’d have thought you’d be ok to move in to a grassy field and leave them on it all day, with no hay, or restrict the grazing time to be on the safe side also to potentially prolong the amount of time the grass will last. I’m sure Fionna can help you, take a look at the grass and review things with you 😊 How exciting to have lessons on Friday 👍

In another week or so I am finally aloud to start back lessons ! I am the only kid going there because my trainer quit lessons and since I owned my own horse I was aloud to stay and continue lessons , my friends and their horses had stables at their house so they brought their horses back . I can not wait to finally start riding my horse again but first she needs a good bath 😂

Its crazy how far you all have came. When I first came across this channel it was when you were almost "controversial" you received loads of hate and the majority of your videos had disabled comments. I didn't watch your vlogs consistency until the whole spooking with Stella situation and then I caught myself up to date from there. I remember when you were terrified of horse Laura, you didn't want to be near them never mind have one and own a farm! You didn't even have a loan horse back then and now you have had 6!!! I feel like Gabby has always been confident but she's now jumping and progressing! Sophie had never jumped and was scared and now she's improved so much! You guys should be proud

just a tip if finn can take off his fly mask always buy ones for him with multiple velcro scraps because it makes it harder for them to take them off ❤️

Horses need a minimum of 1.5% of their body weight in dry matter forage per day, also remember that hay is around 90% dry matter. If they are young and growing or it is cold or they are using a lot of energy they will need anything up to 3 - 3.5% . A 500kg horse is going to need 7.5kg of dry matter, sorry everything is done in kg in my head.

I always love looking at Finn in your videos, during the summer and when it starts to get warmer out, because he almost looks like he’s getting a tan! 😂 He always looks darker and it really brings out his mane. You can sunscreen Finn’s nose🤗I do it for my paint gelding because he burns so badly then scans and peels and it’s just awful. Sunscreen works well and also Vitamin E oil when they do burn to help heal it!💕

I have seen and witnessed so many car crashes. My grandma got in a really bad one she got a horrible bruse on her stomach from the seatbelt and broke 6 ribs. She is doing way better now. Then me and my mom were driving and we saw a bas car crash the person wasnt getting out of the car so im praying they are ok. And then you guys saw one. All of this stuff has really been bugging me. I feel like i just want to hide in my room and not come out😵 but your vlogs really help me see the good in this world. Hey Laura Sofia and gabbi I need some advice so I have been riding my horse everyday but he refuses every jump even cross rails he used to jump 3’3 but now almost nothing any advice?

if you put suncream on their nose it stops the sun from burning the horse's noses. It works on my two ponies.

Just some advice for Finn's nose.. What I do with my horse is I get Sunscreen for sensitive skin, and whenever it's sunny outside I just rub a little bit next to her eyes.. You could try that, but all horses and people are different

I’ve had so many troubles with fly masks over the years by ripping or coming off of my horse. I’ve found the best type of fly mask which I find mine at greenhawk! They’re the “Summit Lycra Fly Mask” I find that my horse seems so much more comfortable and over the years, have no rips and never came off (my horse lives outside) They come in SO many different colors (hint hint for the girls lol) Recommend 1000%

Laura, go to the baby section of shoppers or Walmart and get a tin of Zinc. Put it on Finn’s nose and it will block the sun from getting to him. That being said, it’s just as dangerous, if not more so, in the winter. With the sun reflecting off of the snow. So really, he should have the zinc on his nose year round ☺️💞 @daybydayvlogs

My brother was in an atv crash this morning and he was life flighted to the hospital he has fluid In his belly a punctured lung broken pelvis and both femers are broken. He is in explortory surgery to see where the bleeding in his stomach is coming from and in the morning he has surgery to fix his femers and if he is stable and good after that they will go in and fix his pelvis too. He really could use prayers he is only 17 and is such a good worker.

You should do a massive spring clean of everything.
