I think the reason why Storm is so much happier on your new farm is because there is more room to run. Also the scenery is more relaxing and it looks to me like the stalls are bigger. And then there’s the trails.

It definitely could be all of it together! He definitely likes his stall because he can see everyone. Just getting rid of the bars so he can see made a huge difference! He absolutely runs everywhere!

I think all of the horses are happier on the new farm. Especially after they saw that y'all were staying with them. Storm was so agitated when you went trail riding that first time because y'all got out of his sight. He probably thought he was at a new boarding school. I must say that you & the family adjusted quickly to the new farm. I'm sure your relaxed feelings pass onto the horses & all of the animals. The animals do talk, if you listen & watch closely you get the blessing of understanding them. 😉

I agree.. they do talk! Penny loved my sister, and she never notices other people. Yet she appreciated my sisters kindness and gentleness. It's incredibly fascinating to watch them and listen to what they are saying!

I think the impact of your new farm is it's spirtual energy. The land is naturally fertile & the land has lots of gentle sloping contours. It is a bit of paradise.There are lots of trees, fields of flowers & views that go on & on & on. All of the animals seem happy--really content. Your whole family seems happier. There is a lot less "frantic" energy. You all (animals included) seem to have settled in really quickly. This was a big move. It is clearly one you & your animals were ready for.

Thank you! I think so, too! We are so happy to be out doing stuff on this farm. It just has such a natural energy like you said and it all flows so nicely! I've been trying to catch more of storm and his change in energy, and you can see it in tomorrow's vlog. We really noticed it with him!

I think partly it's that you all seem more relaxed in general now that you've got all your animals there with you. There's more room and it seems far quieter than your previous house. The dogs and horses have more room to run, the horses are not having to be swapped around every day so that everyone gets a turn outside. You've all been riding and/or leading them out on trails more too. I love how all the animals are joining each other in fields now and Ollie is so so much happier, I think out of everyone the change is most obvious in him.

I think so too! Ollie and Strom are truly the biggest changes I've seen! Storm is suddenly free and happy in a way I've never seen him and Ollie hates the dogs so being able to keep the dogs out of his space has made the world of difference for him. I also agree that the environment has a huge effect on both animals and humans and it definitely must play a part!

Have you thought about putting a grazing muzzle on chino to stop him from getting extras?

He canf have any grass. Grazing muzzles are meant to reduce the amount of grass they get.

I think so too! She loves our horses a lot snd ellie loves them all. Penny especially loves older women snd really noticed my sister and was taken by her!

Maybe you guys have clovers the reason he is so happy lol. That’s a throwback to one of your old videos. Tbh my guess is that the reason storm is so happy because he has more room to run and he has a lot of grass he can eat where when he was at the lesson barn he didn’t so I think he is trying to make the most of it.

I think maybe the difference in the horses is that you have been taking them out to see the rest of the property from the very beginning. You didn't let them settle in to a comfort zone in just one barn or one paddock, so the consistent walks and rest of the property are being built in as part of their comfort zone and their routine. I'm not sure if that makes sense, and it may not be the case, but I definitely think the consistent exposure you are giving them is amazing. Also that goes with anything. If you expose them to certain things regularly they will become used to it. That is the principle of desensitization. So for example if you start trailering them to trails regularly they will get used to trail riding. My personal opinion is that almost all horses can enjoy trail riding, as long as they are introduced to it properly, and there are no issues with them like pain or poorly fitting tack.
