Dear Professor, I do not post often, if at all on video, but this one moved me to say something. This video explains perfectly why I am a fan and patron of your work. The honesty, respect, creativity, and critical thinking you apply to your work is commendable. You are not just a good MTG content creator; you are a model for everyone who wishes to garner respect and trust in reviewing products. As you grow, making and learning from new mistakes, I hope to see the channel grow with you. Sincerely, Jacob P.S. I've been meaning to ask, can I get an extension on the Mill 306 midterm? I forgot some of the material while studying, and I can't figure out why.

I love your open-letter videos, Professor. They are so inspiring and you are really a remarkable person and teacher for life. I love your honesty and willing to admit mistakes and to learn from it. But other then that, in all seriousness and as a person leaning towards being too hard on oneself myself, I would be really happy to see another video soon called: "Things that I'm Proud of the Most: Magic: The Gathering RU-vidr." One could be proud withought being arrogant, and if an inside voice is telling you that it's more humble to admit of faults then admitting of achivements - well, then this voice is just as bad as the voices of pride that drove you into making said mistakes in this video. Really, Brian, it will mean a lot for me to hear such a video from you. Love and appreciation as always!

The common thread I see connecting all of these is your underestimation of how substantial and powerful your individual voice is, not as an absolute MTG authority figure of course, but as a well known and respected player. whether it was not accessing how damaging it could be when used incorrectly (in the case of binders) or downplaying it's significance when it came to speaking up about an issue (in the case of card-stock quality). I think the lesson to be learnt from all this is to not underestimate yourself and your opinions but be honest and outspoken about what worries you, and do it in a humble manner that is open to being corrected and better informed. And from all I've seen in your channel, you're not only a great prof but a great student also! Thanks for contributing to the MTG community!

I understand your feelings about Pucatrade. It went through quite a hard time and its econony suffered a lot. However, it is bouncing back. Promotion percentages are falling, and there's loads of quality cards running through it. I have stuck with PT for nearly seven years straight, starting when it first launched. It takes more work than the days before the sight redesign sure, but still plenty of trading to be done. It was launched, and still holds on, to be a giant circle-trading platform. I do my diligence to put cards in the hands of players that want them. There are players building new decks trading there, set collectors, old school players, people like me that are strictly EDHers, and those that are stocking their own store. I urge people to give it a shot, or to come back for a bit. Even if all its traffic stops, I would not have the collection I do today without using it.

Professor not all of us watch very many channels in this community. I am not an avid MTG player. Me and my wife just do not have the time to invest in this hobby. When we do play its usually release boxes we get here and there and enjoy at family gatherings, something we learned from your channel. It keeps new players and older player on a fairly level playing field and quickly became the way my family enjoys MTG to this day . Also we are speaking of maybe once or twice a year at best. The wife and I came to enjoy the way you present information since your early videos and trust your content. So, even if information has been stirred in the community pot for some time I probably will not become aware of it unless it is shown on your channel. I feel I cannot be alone in this. Prof, You mentioned in the video how you regret not making a video on the card stock issue, but eventually did it. I really hope that some of the reasons for that regret included the fact that your words have a heavy weight in the community. I have been watching and enjoying your videos for years, and have trusted what I see from you. I also believe that for at least some of your viewers, if it isn't seen on Tolarian Community College, then they simply won't receive that information. It is hard to balance a full time job, family, and normal every day life with MTG. I choose to do so anyway, but I just don't have time to search through all the different information sources to make sure I am up to date. Thanks for providing so much awesome content Prof! I really appreciate it.

Dude gotta say i love how much prof respects the fact that he has a large voice in this community. He knows that his actions and what he says can have more consequences then is just in front his face. He has such a respect for the community and such a respect for the viewers and the fact that he has a voice. its actually inspiring. Keep doing what your doing prof

My biggest regret is that I did not meet you at my local game store here in Sao Paulo last year. I hope someday I'll meet you in person and thank you for bringing me back to Magic. Greets from Brazil.

Prof, the fact that you can release this video (that is almost wholly you being critical of yourself and your channel) shows why your channel is such a great resource. Frankly, your credibility is off the charts.... Thanks!

Great list, especially #1. Any plans to assess card stock and quality with newer sets a few months after they come out?
