When we’re broken up with it feels like we’re dying inside day by day...and reaching out to the ex is like ripping a bandaid off over and over. Your wound keeps getting infected and you keep hurting. My ex broke up with me for 6months, I dated him for over 7months and he told me after we broke up that my life is a mess, he use to point out my belly.. I was soo heart broken with my break up, I enrolled to college to finish my nursing degree, I work out a lot and dedicated to lose my belly fat and soo dedicated to became the better me. I love stories where people who want there ex back get their wish and end up in a happier more dedicated loving relationship with their ex/now current girlfriend/boyfriend. Not just self improvement alone (and someone new or being single), but both self improvement and the best new beginning romantic relationship with their ex! I hope this for myself! I'm working on self improvement part, now the rest is up to her to get back into contact if she's single again.

Thank you for sharing this. It made me feel peaceful all the talk about her apartment bringing her peace, sleeping, working, reading and enjoying her time on her own. Being self aware enough to know that dating wasn’t what she needed. She just needed to do her own thing. She needed herself. Good for her! I’m practicing. I cry at the most random times and did during my workout this morning. It’s been 3 weeks today since we separated, and I’m crawling in my skin some days :/ but I know i can do this! This story was inspiring because of the work this woman did on herself. But I’m curious how long until her ex was reaching out to her or if they kept in contact the entire duration? I have little faith that my ex will ever contact me first (he’s an avoidant) and it’s been 7 months since our breakup. But I’m slowly getting to a place where I feel okay (and better) without him. Since the breakup I got a new job, went back to the gym, went back to therapy, & have also been doing a little bit of volunteer work. People are taking notice and I truly feel like I am a better version of me. I don’t know what (if anything) that he’s been up to- but I may not even want him back. 2 friends passed away recently and I realized life is too short to put on hold for anyone.

Craig, I really appreciate the information that you give out. I'm at 2.5 months of no contact with a girl that said she needed space but said she's not dumping me. Right! I've gotten past most of the negative things during breakup. Right now I'm still dealing with dreaming of my ex and still not quite whole. She's on my mind as I sleep and continues into my waking period. It seems as if I need her validation but in reality it's my own shortcomings. I'm hitting the gym regularly and have lost 20 lbs. I'm open to meeting other girls as friends just to interact with them. I'm easy going and don't have any reservation talking to an meeting girls. It's so easy for me. It's a gift from being so shy and backwards when I was growing up. I still have a ways to go. Still hoping that one day my ex will reach out but trying to be realistic at the same time. My ex devistated me by our break up this summer. I am still really suffering, crying, hiding in my house & hardly going out. I have been listening to your videos, but they dont seem to help me hearing how other people have overcome this or gotten back with their ex. I don't think that's going to happen for me. I can't seem to get motivated to do much of anything & the holidays this year are going to be terrible & l will be all alone.

I have been working on the work books I purchased 1-10 I am eager to keep working on myself regardless if the ex tries to come back or not. The way I look at it the more time and energy you put into yourself you can't lose in the long run! And trust me I've been through A LOT when it comes to relationships

My sudden breakup has mad me schizophrenic...I became multiple different versions of myself all with their own view and emotional issues and would battle for dominance. Eventually they began to absorb one another leaving the two versions that are present today. One is fueled by anger and hatred...the other is logical and understanding...eventually one will absorb the other leaving me with that particular view point of the breakup. Anger and hate are fleeting and hatred isn't something I generally ever feel so I know the logical side will prevail.

Wow.. I hate to sound like a jerk. But I don't support abuse.. Nor do I consider being treated like some jack wagon is better than me as being a prize. I don't want my ex back. At this point. Ladies, better make sure you're not dealing with a narcissist, sociopath, or psychopath. Some guy treats me like a commodity. He can move on! At this point.

My situation is very similar to hers. Sometimes I still cry over my ex and it's very painful. I put pressure on myself to get over him and to stop crying about him by a certain time, and I feel guilty because I know I could be working on myself, but when I stop crying about him I know that I can live without him (and be happier without him) and my resolve in moving forward with NC increases. Is this normal?

I know we all won’t get our exes back.. but I have a better question how many exes will reach out at some point? I’ve always been on amicable terms w my exes and generally kept in touch with them. This is the first time where he blocked me on everything and he made a point of saying he “can’t play a more active role in [my] life romantic or otherwise” right now. Wtf. I don’t think the circumstances of our breakup were so terrible they warrant a complete breakdown in communication like this. But I’m not going to try to get back into someone’s life who doesn’t want me in it either. 😒

I do wonder what the success rate is with women who leave and not the guy. I was so kind and loving to my ex. She said that post break up. I was single 5 years when we met, she was separated but still living with her ex. I think I was just way ahead of her on the healing journey. But she was the love of my life. It's been 6 months since we last chatted. 12 months since our break up. I think she's avoidant.

My situation is fucked. 2 years of breadcrumbs and now she finally said “I’ll never give you another chance”.

My ex destroyed me emotionally, mentally and physically. He is SATAN, what he did to me not even god can forgive him! Why would I want someone as evil as him to come back to me? I would never ever ever take him back ! He’s dead to me I’ve buried him! We have been in NC for 3 months and I know it’s done for good, but I also know that one day maybe not anytime soon but he will return because he’s so weak minded that he will not be able to live with his guilt and what he did to me! And guess what? When that day comes because it will, he will be in shock with my new “ attitude “ because I will not even acknowledge him

Ex gf broke up with me a month ago. She just started college 3 months ago and suddenly this happened. Our relationship lasted 7 years. Both were our first love to each other and shared a deep bond within us. We dreamt of spending our life together and always talked about it. But suddenly she started changing about 1.5 months ago from now and finally broke up with me. It became a LDR after she joined college. She met new friends there and suddenly her lifestyle changed. Maybe even her decision to break up was fueled by them to a bit. She says she is not in a relationship right now and nor wanna be soon. But sources say she is already in a relationship with one of her new found friends. The girl who used to mention me as her husband suddenly says I am the regret of her life, and she never wants to look back. I am absolutely devastated by this but trying hard to maintain no contact. I tried talking to her a couple of times after breakup till a month and even made some of the classic mistakes. But now i went into strict NC and it has been only 3 days since that but I promised myself i would never initiate contact from my side. Is she in a GIG situation? Are things too late for her to understand since i did the classic mistakes till 1 month after break up? She never felt my absence in her life in these 7 years. Is this why she took me for granted and thought I would always be her back up option? I really do love her but I am not going to reconcile till I know for sure she understands my value in her life. My boyfriend for 10 months asked a break so I gave him space, he lied to me saying that he hates social media because it cause problem in a relationship. And he going to delete his Instagram where I was in. So few days after he deleted it I found out that he create a new account in Instagram with his girl friends before we dating.

Well I am more balanced so that is nice but I am only attracting terrible men so it isn't helping my dating so I am mostly just not dating anymore. My ex unblocked me after one year of us breaking up… I wasn’t perfect and I think she’s dating someone else. I’m leveling up and even moved to a new country, but sometimeS I wonder if I should send her a message or just stay focused and move on with my life. My ex girlfriend broke up with me after five years in November, I broke no contact a few times eventually she agreed to meet up to talk and I bought her a necklace (that was the only thing I wanted to give her I didnt expect us to get back together) she ended up telling me she had sex with two guys already in under a month .....this makes no sense to because she was always attached to me and we would talk about marriage and I was always there for her.. super supportive.....we rarely argued.... but I did neglect her at times so I can go out drinking with friends and I would leave her waiting for hours (yeah I know I suck lol) I didnt see how this was affecting her and I didnt put myself in her shoes and didnt see things from her perspective and oh yeah she started a bartending job at a very popular bar which only increases my anxiety....but damn I love her and I feel so empty inside... I have never seen a video anywhere about my situation my roles got reversed I dumped my gf she begged for a week then went NC after 3 weeks I cane begging for her back and she was already content in been single as she said but we wore on and of for a month she wasn’t ready to settle and I was to clingy with my feelings she left me for someone else and I went NC that thing with the guy only lasted like 3 days but she’s been going on dates with loads of guys over the last 3 weeks I’ve been in NC she is currently dating someone about a week now she tryed to follow me back on Instagram and I declined she posted a picture of this guy online with a love heart that same night she tryed to follow me back on Instagram the next day she text me seen if I wanted old videos of us I politely declined she also reached out like two days later asking if I was seen someone girl I kissed on a night out I told her it was none of her business but not in a rude way and told her I was moving on that night she posted more pictures with this new guy with her staying in his house !! The night she stayed in his house she was on what’s app at 4am and she only uses that to text me it and it has all of our old photos stored on it .I’ve been 3 weeks NC and is say she has directly reached out 3 times and indirectly twice do I still have a chance now that she is seen someone new ?its been 2 days since the last contact

In the 2 years we were together I could count the number of dates we went on on one hand. I was always trying to fit myself in her life. I would ask questions and she always said I didn’t trust her.
