I’m still sad about having an emergency C-section. I wouldn’t get past 6cm after being induced @37weeks. I am still recovering from it. I am blessed that she’s here and healthy! ❤️ 1-13-2021

There is a reason for everything , we can plan what we want but god will do what he wants ! Maybe it was what’s best for U ! I have 3 kids and my 4 will be c section and I’m petrified . I have placenta previa a clot in my lung and on blood thinner !!! Honestly at this point I hope I live to see my kids grow up :(

I have had 3 c-sections and it is hard! I remember coming home and feeling the exact same way as you! Break down and all. That’s probably with every woman. Your hormones are going crazy on top of hurting and being on pain meds that make you “cloudy”. Good job mama! You did awesome! Loved this, thank you for sharing! ❤️💕

Aw. I know it’s been quite some time since the “first day home meltdown” but I hope you really do know that it does happen to all of us. It really does. I’ve had multiple moments like that. Just remember that it’s okay. Congratulations on your beautiful boy. You’re doing great Momma💙

I appreciate your honesty in this. I had a surprise c section last year; I knew like a week to 10 days prior. I felt bad for being upset too but it was the safest option for my baby and me. I watched more videos afterwards and no one talks about the pain and difficulty just doing everyday things. Our stories are very similar. I felt the same way after going home too because we had feeding issues too. But it all gets better 😊

I think the recovery after birth is the hardest part of the entire process! I didn't have a c-section but I know it has to be hard & I know you are a great mom! Being a mom is the greatest & Congratulations on your baby! :)

I am a mother of three and you went so in depth and mention so many things others dont! Good job mama, I have to tell you my first son when I got home I had a huge meltdown and I ended up punching my poor husband. It was so out of character for me I cried so much and for so long, I felt terrible and couldn't believe what I had done. Now we laugh about it but gosh hormones are crazy! Bless your mother in law i know how embarrassing it is during that time!

Morgan I had a C-section and mine was emergency one, because my daughters heart rate started to drop after being in labor for 36hrs.. It was ruff but she was so worth it.. You look Amazing, you don’t even look like you’ve had a baby... Can’t wait too see him grow.. Take care my friend...

Hi from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I had my beautiful identical twin boys in 2017 by c-section and the best thing for me was my finance was able to be with me through the whole experience. Right from getting registered to getting my spinal to recovery. Your baby is beautiful. All the best to you, Logan and Beckham.

After I had my boy, I didn't feel connected to him, I felt like he was a strangers baby. The nurse told me that's normal, it would get better to only worry if that feeling doesn't go away. I felt a lot better the next morning.

It's been really cool to hear about the entire process from someone my age, it seems to make it easier to understand and put myself in that position (hypothetically). You and Logan have handled it with grace! P.S. I think we should be friends, lol.

I went thru a similar experience with my baby. I was mentally preparing myself for a vaginal birth and then at 38 weeks I got some tests run and Sunday evening I received a call from the doctor stating that based on the results, I'd have to come in the next day for a c section. It was very unexpected and the whole process felt so scary and clinical and not at all this amazing primal experience I had hoped for. My son is healthy regardless, I'm just hoping the second time around, I'm able to experience a vaginal birth.

Coming from myself who has had 4c~sections I wish I had someone to give me some tips(my first one was an emergency c~section after 21 1/2 hours of labor never felt the urge to push,I don't think your crazy for saying you were sad not being able to have a vaginal delivery, having major surgery is very different and the healing is as well, but like you said us Moma's and Doctors do what's best for baby and you..and we would do it all over agin,we never forget the pain no matter if we have a vaginal or surgery but seeing our babies for the first time is all worth it..I am glad you did this video for other Moms out there..I hope you will be able to experience a VBAC

Wow a C-section does sound chaotic, you seem to recount it all very well though. You made it through. 💖 I know Kayli often got C-Sections too. It’s very interesting to learn about the process. Yeah the emotional break downs seem like they would be a big part of recovery. It sounds like you made it through the hardest part of the emotional recovery, so I am really happy to hear that but it still sounds like it was rough. 💕

I just had my 2nd c section 6 months ago and I totally get all the feelings you had! With my first baby I didn’t have any depression or anxiety. With my 2nd I had major depression and anxiety! Sadly I totally wasn’t expecting it and it hit me hard! I luckily got some mild medication and was back to 100% after a month. I had the exact same thing happen when we came home with my 2nd baby. She latched at the hospital great, but right when we got home we had major problems for the first could days, which I feel is what set off my anxiety. Luckily we got it together and we have been going strong for 6 months of breastfeeding❤️ so glad you guys are doing great! I had the exact breakdown once we got home. I couldn't even get up on my own, and I was feeling so scared and bad that I can't even take care of my baby. It didn't help that my family was around but not really available for help. Only my husband was there for me and the baby, who was equally clueless.

On 9/11 I thought my water broke (it hadnt) and so we went to the family birthing center. They told me it wasn’t broken and I actually closed up from my 1 cm I was dialed at my appointment from before. The thing was with every Braxton Hick (I had been having them nonstop for weeks at that point) her heart beat would drop then recover. We scheduled a c-section for 4:30pm because it was going to be safer then vaginal. At 2:30-2:45ish her heart beat didn’t recover. No position helped and they called a class A c-section which is very emergent. We got to the OR and the anesthesiologist was 20 min away on call. It was either going to be wait and my baby die or I feel everything. I felt everything, the worst part wasn’t the pain, it’s knowing and feeling someone move their hands around your insides. It was completely worth it and I’d do it again in a second. Coraline Winter Greene 5 lbs 11 oz 18in Born 9/11/20 at 2:58pm

You could try hand expressing while waiting for your pump! It really helped me and I got to freeze some milk for some bottles with daddy. The hakka pump is a good pump to put on the other boob while baby is nursing as well. It's just a suction pump and once you get the hang of it is super easy to use! You're doing great mama, we all have feelings we've never felt before and so we should! We were born as mother's the same time as our babies were. It's all new and you are doing wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am curious though, where are you located? It doesn’t sound like your little one had any issues when born, correct? So I was wondering why you did not get to do skin to skin almost immediately after the birth? I was shocked you had to wait till after exiting the theatre to hold your baby. Did they at least do delayed cord clamping to your knowledge? Thank you for the reply 🤍.

I had probably the worst c section ever.. the medication did not work when they cut me and I screamed they had to put me to sleep.. Next I went into spasms in my intestines .. next I had internal bleeding .. and passed out almost died needed a blood transfusion 🥺 I couldn't even breast feed felt like a failure fainted twice.. it was the worst experience of my life so painful I screamed for 4 days straight. Anyways ... My beautiful baby is here.. so I try to spend time with him.. I just had it done so I'm exaughsted .. 🥺

Get a haaka pump. You put it on while your breatfeeding so you catch your letdown from the side your not nursing on. That may help your left side not be so uncomfortable when your feeding on the right.

Thank you so much for sharing your story!! You were so open and honest and that’s very much appreciated from a soon to be first time mom. When it comes to breastfeeding (this may sound dumb) but why do you need a pump? If you’re home with your baby and not working or leaving them why do you have to pump? Do you produce extra or something? Any mom can answer this!!!!
@nanaronhano337

Mary Gilmore it’s just nice to have if you need to go somewhere without the baby, if you want to give someone else the chance to feed the baby, or if your baby doesn’t do a good job feeding. Sometimes moms pump when they need to tell their body to make more milk.
