Bikes looking really clean mate and might be a weird question but due to the standard MT09 bars being so wide and riding with woodcraft clip ons, does it make it easier to corner etc compared to the standard? If so is it quite a big difference?
There's a slight difference in cornering at low speeds. The biggest difference you'll see is at higher speeds you're able to speed tuck much more comfortably and corner more effectively. You can see my install video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ntvL2TMxQno.html
I've experienced a wobble at about 100mph under hard acceleration on my 2018 MT09. It only wobbles under hard acceleration. I've had the front tire balanced but still wobbles. I've seen many other ppl experience the same problem. Some say a steering stabilizer helps. Any advise or info you can share.
Coming from a 600rr, I was too shocked that my mt09 had speed wobbles at 100. My solution was removing the stock bars and lowering them with woodcraft. Pair that with a steering damper and now I can speed tuck comfortably and max out the bike with zero wobbles. @@danwein thanks for the input. I will check that link out. I love the MT09. Such a crazy fun bike. Wheelie machine. Sounds like a steering stabilizer would be a good investment to deal with wobble.
@@danwein yeah I've done some mods. Asv levers, puig windscreen. Bagster seat, fender eliminator, brake light assembly with integrated turn signals, after market front turn signals, M4 exhaust & a radiator guard. I did the same thing with the radiator guard you did. My MT is grey with fluo yellow so I painted the MT symbol & MT09 on radiator cover fluo yellow.
Swap it for a 2020 SP, have the suspension adapted to your weight, have a Puig touring windshield and S22 rubber fitted. And drop your lumpy gear for tailor-made Dainese racing leathers. Then ride the whole package with an aerodynamic AGV Pista RR. Result: No wobble whatsoever at top speed 😎🏁🏁👍
Yeah so the brake fluid reservoir has the lines that cross the display. Needed to be punched out a tiny bit as to not block it. I don't even notice it.
I bought clear adhesive vinyl on etsy. Mine specifically is red orange. It looks really great! www.etsy.com/listing/271992568/oracal-8300-transparent-adhesive-vinyl
