RU-vid's already demonetized the video, unsurprisingly. If you want to show your support, sign up at patreon.com/officer401 . Whether you're a patreon or not, I appreciate all of you. You give me motivation to keep going with the 401 channel. :)
Looking at the pictures at 6:33 is so sad. These kids were happy at that moment the picture was taken. I hope they enjoyed the few years they had on this planet.
We would love to hear more dad stories. The only way to remember one’s legacy. By talking about the good they did in the world. Much love Ofc401. Really liked the video
Sorry to hear of your Dad passing, I didn't know he had passed. Mine passed in 2010 for almost 2 years I would catch myself picking up the phone to call him about something. He was also a Police officer and a veteran of Korea.
I lost my dad in 2013. For several months I would send him a text telling him that I missed him even though I knew I wouldn't get an answer. It was therapeutic. So imagine my surprise one day when I got a reply saying "who's this?" LOL. Thankfully the new owner of the number was very understanding.
I remember one time as a kid, I was on a swing set I had in my back yard. I fell backwards and hit my head on a sharp rock had to go to the ER and get stitches lol
Haha. My first memory was earlier because it was a new deal. 2 years ten months, flying across the Atlantic. Window seat, sat next to my dad. Sprite, peanuts. What are other people's earliest memories?
Sad story all around. So sorry about your dad I know for sure he’s looking down smiling and proud of you. Not even gonna lie I’m a little sad now your dad was cool when you did the interview with him
Dude, this is your best one ever!!!! I've been told that I wasted my talent by not becoming a cop. You, on the other hand, didn't. I send my prayers to your dad, your family, and you. The best of luck to you Milt
Your dad was a badass! He even looked like a badass lol. Such a cool story. I’d love to hear more of your dads stories if you are willing to share 😁🙏 Stay safe out there Sergeant!
RIP-grandpa401!!!!! Your dad is a legend ! And your are one in the making! I love you officer 401. When I turned 18 years old I was so lost In life. Didn’t know what to do, or what to become. Because of your amazing videos. You gave me something to thrive for! I live in the Bay Area and I soon will become a Hayward police officer. Thank you for changing my life bro!
I am so moved by the fact that your father could take something ugly and tragic and turn into love. He sounds like an amazing man, and I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this. 🤗💗
Loved this video. Brought a tear to my eye hearing the stories, especially about him coming home and just wanting to hug his son. He was very obviously bad ass, a caring father, and a true legend. Awesome!
I lost my dad last year so I get what you mean. I miss him too. Each story you share of him lets all of us get to know him as if he was the one telling it. Keep doing what you're doing.
Thanks for sharing all of that personal info! What an amazing story. Blessings to you and your dad. May his soul be truly blessed for his brave actions in life to help total strangers everywhere❣️🇺🇸
Hope you enjoyed the show. If you like these type of shows I would recommend Jack the Ripper: The New Evidence. RU-vid Channel (Crazy Weird Cool Shows) Have a good day.
The story of McDuff is such a haunting one. The brutality that he inflicted on his victims was incomprehensible. I sometimes wonder how men and women like your dad could restrain themselves when arresting evil like McDuff. Their discipline & commitment to duty and honor is truly inspiring. You were blessed to have such a dad.
its sad that your dad, in his final months, felt regret for not having been there as much as he would've liked. There's plenty of dads who're there all the time and are absolute scumbags. What's more important than being there all the time is being someone who's worth having around, and your dad certainly was.
*_Your dad looked so mean with those dark glasses when he had hold of McDuff. I wish he had been interviewed about the highlights of his life from his pov. That would have been cool_*
Beautiful video. May your father rest in peace, he has earned his place in heaven. The apple does not fall far from the tree, and I am positive your father is proud of you ,and is watching you from above. Thank you for sharing this story, it shows how human officers of the law are, and that they too have hearts and emotions. You have every right to be very, very, proud of him, and he of you.
Your father was one amazing man! I see that you are very proud to be his son. One thing I found heart-touching is how your dad always came home to hug you and love his family. I see all too often people in that line of work turn to alcohol and/or drugs and, in some instances, domestic violence because a lot of people don't know how to deal with the trauma they encounter. But not your dad. He seemed like a real hero who did his job successfully, AND loved his family with all his heart. That is a real hero in my mind. I really enjoy when you speak of your father and share his stories. I love your awesome content and what you share about the police field!
Love this! Humanizing police officers and what they go through is so important right now. I’m sorry for your loss- I’m grateful you had him as your dad. What a legend!
Your dad was clearly a badass! I’m sorry for your loss. I remember this guy. He kidnapped a woman from the car wash I used on a regular basis in Austin, TX and of course murdered her. She was about my same age. Oddly, it didn’t stop me from going to that car wash. I guess I thought the odds of another serial killer getting me in the same place were so low I wasn’t scared. But I’ve never lived my life in fear from anyone.
This touched my heart. May he rest in eternal peace and surround your family with his love. As a person in the police application process you give me so much hope and motivation. My favorite officer here on RU-vid, much respect. I do not do the whole patreon things with anyone but you for sure have a new loyal member now 🙏🏼💙
Your Dad is an American Hero, stories like this need to be told to give examples of what it takes to do 'the job' and to remember the history on why we need a solid justice system. Thank you for sharing and keep going forward with the 401 channel.
This is a really cool tribute to your dad, Rest In Peace 401 dad. I remember a while back you interviewed your dad and he seamed like a really cool guy and there was totally chemistry between you two... I can only imagine all the stories he couldn't tell, would be quite a series of interviews. All what counts is you have a good memory of your dad and respect.
I remember my dad stoping someone trying to break into our neighbors house. When he pulled up in the driveway when he was on lunch break. It was the coolest thing that I ever saw him. He drew his 357 and snuck up on the guy and pointed his gun at the back of his head. He told this guy to put his hands up. And, if he tried anything that he was going to end up in the hospital. This was back in 1985. He was the coolest guy that I know. But, he's since retired.
That really broke me up thinking about your dad needing to hug you after seeing all the evil that he had to see and what all law-enforcement has to deal with on a daily basis.😔
It sounds like your dad was an amazing individual. I'm so sorry he can't be with us today. I have no doubt that he would be super proud of everything you have done as a police officer to get to where you are now!
I’m very sorry for your loss. You when I first started watching your channel, I had my heart on being a Police Detective. Than I saw the video of your dad talking about his life as US Marshal. It really opened my eyes because I never really knew what the US Marshals were. So now my plan is when I get out of the Marines I’m gonna send in an application for the US Marshals. And I just wanted you to know that it was your dad that inspired me.
I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I bet every good dad is a hero to his son, I know my dad was my hero. I don't understand why youtube would demonetize this video.
I am so sorry about your Dad, 401. Prayers to you and your family. Thank you for helping me understand what it is I need to know about becoming an officer myself.
God bless you 401! I totally get the Patrolman's compassion decompression. My Mom retired NYPD APO Lt. While she was not a "Peace Officer " per say, she/we as APOs did get a lot of exposure up there in Da'Bronx. And there were a several late night wakeup hugs, even a few tearful ones. So yeah, I get this! Thank you brother for your candor, and all your fine work on this channel. Also, a belated congrats on your promotion to Sgt! May God continue to bless, & protect you, & all of your's.
Your father was a true hero. Cherish the memories you have about what kind of man he was and always let that be your goal in life. Watching your videos, it seems you have many of his outstanding qualities. Thanks for sharing all of this and stay safe out there.
Your old man seemed like a super humble yet solid dude. Thank you so much for sharing his stories, and I guarantee he is extremely proud of how his boy turned out. 💙
Thanks for sharing your "dad-story"! Got really emotional. Those hugs where so important to him. May he rest in peace 🕊️ You're a good storyteller officer401! / Love & stay safe!
I actually didn't know much about the Marshall's until you made that video about them a few years back, I have a huge amount of respect for them, they're truly badasses who love their country and eat bad guys for breakfast, your dad was a legend, so sorry that he passed away, I'm sure he's looking down at you from heaven very proudly. You should keep making more story videos about him, it's a great way to honour his legacy!
the 1st pic at 8:58 shows that you looks just like your dad! and im happy we have people like him and you out there legitimately trying to help make our country safer and better for us to all be in!
He's proud of you, officer. God bless you and yours, and take care. I'll be starting police academy within a few months and your content has been an amazing tool thus far
This update sure stirs a lot to think about law enforcement as the rest of us go about our daily lives. Thank you for reminding us what we don't have as being a good thing.!
I am so sorry to hear of you dads passing. Mine has been gone for 14 years and never get easier. Prayers to you my brother!! Coming from a former mp and appreciate all you do!!
Sargent, Thank you for sharing this. So glad you got to do that interview with your dad so he could share some of his experience with so many. I think it would be amazing if you could share more of his legacy with us. Of course only the things he would be ok with and you are comfortable with. You certainly had an amazing role model and you are following in his footsteps making a huge difference in so many ways. While his career is amazing in truth you are his real legacy. Who you are and all you do has a ripple effect that will continue on. Im so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how proud he was of you. Your dad certainly was 1BADFED! Wishing you many blessings.
I’m sorry for your loss. I loved the interview you did with him but had no idea he had passed. He was a true badass and is proud of you. God bless and RIP. ❤️
If you ever want to just do a video, in regards to the life of your dad, I'd be totally cool with that. He sounds like a very fascinating man, and I can tell you are extremely proud of him. I know he has to be proud of you and your accomplishments, both as an officer and a family man. Rest in peace Papa401.
Yes! I'd love to hear more stories about your dad! He'd be proud that you have such fond memories of him, and you are so proud of his achievements. He sounds like a hell of a guy. That McDuff guy was scary AF. He was huge, and he literally just picked up a woman by her neck at a car wash, and carried her to his truck or car. I'm glad your dad got him!
My condolences to you and loved ones. Your father not only leaves big shoes to fill in the Marshall Service, but Law Enforcement as a whole. Thank you for your sacrifice and time nit spent together, but his service brought justice to many families. Like you said, we are all proud of pops.
I was really young but I remember hearing about macduff. Your pops is a true legend. Thank you, your father and mother for your service and sacrifice. 🙏
Sgt 401 first and foremost I am sorry for your loss. I still remember watching the video you posted with him as soon as it came out. My father is in law enforcement as well with the County Sheriffs office that I live in. Every other day that I run into someone in law enforcement they talk to me about how great of a deputy/ investigator my father is, after they get through telling me I'm a spittin image of him haha. I remember being on the fence as to whether or not to join the police academy and follow in his foot steps. Then I found your videos on RU-vid. I am now serving my community as a Police officer and I just want to say thank you for making these videos. If it wasn't for you giving me that extra motivation I needed who knows where I would be today. Good bless 🙏
My dad was in the RCMP for 31 years up in Canada and I feel the same way about him as you did with your dad. You can ask any member that had the opportunity to work alongside my dad and they would all say the same thing about him. He was the best at what he did. Policing back then was a lot different than it is today and its unfortunate we can't go back to those times.....i guess we have tooo many sensitive people out in the real world eh? Anyhow it wasn't until I sobered up 7 years ago, my dad was finally able to talk to me man to man about some of the things that happened to him as a police officer. I am truly greatful he shared those experiences. Stay safe 401 and thanks for all you do.
So sad to hear about your loss. I really enjoyed the videos that you made with him. His legendary badassery definitely transcended the screen. RIP Marshal401
Been here since 100k, for years I’ve watched almost all of your videos, so glad to see how far you’ve come in the last couple of years, keep up the good work, much love
Congratulations to your father and to yourself for being strong enough to tell the story. I could never imagine what it would be like to experience the things that your father and yourself and others in the law enforcement community
