I love your planner and am on year 3! I use it on the remarkable and while I don’t use all the features I love how much thought and testing you put into the product. I take LOADS of notes so I often end up copying multiple pages of page2 of the notes associated with each calendar day to give me the space I need. I love that doing that does not screw up any of the links. Thanks again for providing this at such a reasonable price!

Thank you a thousand times for the incredible quality of your work, I have no quick satisfying words to say how much the amount of dedication and precision you put in your videos are impressive, make a difference and was useful for me. Respect for you, dear mate! (did make me early buy my great daily companion mobiscribe origin and just ordered a boox note air 2 to finally upgrade it) Well now, I am nothing of a business man and use my device only for my free self but i've decided to get the MDO for my new noteair 2 mostly to support the channel and maybe to help me organise my cultural agenda (festivals, theater seasons, concert etc..) After the last update, I've had a similar issue with my Boox device. I've been making my own digital planners for a long time now. MDO is a great planner. I like seeing what others come up with. Seeing I wasn't the only one having the issues was good. I'll check the other video, too.

I absolutely love your work. It's so good. If I could make a tiny suggestion, it would be lovely not having (removing) the "am/pm" all together. That allows us to add am or pm as required. This will present better and keep the page clean, rather than adding line strokes across the one you don't want. Which looks messy. Regardless, I love it. You are amazing and I love your videos. Thank you for all your effort and sharing your MDO with us. All the best.

One feedback I missed to give is that for the “Daily Notes 2” page’s top left and right “” links, I would like them to go to the previous and next day’s “Daily Note 1” page. Right now it is linked to the Note 2. I have accidentally started daily notes on the second page instead of the first one many times. I think for people to review past notes, it makes sense to go to the first page of the next day. This is very small issue and may worked for others, but personally the change would save me a lot of swiping. I stay in daily notes 90% of the time. BTY, I think this product makes any e-ink device a little more useful. Great work!

Hi. For future MDO versions, i suggest a configurable option for the weekly view (which, like you, i use most often) to have just Monday to Friday. The screen real estate for Saturday, Sunday and "week goals" is space wasted for my usage.

Hi Voja, congratulations for this new version and thanks for releasing it so early, plus adding a loyalty discount..Main thing I am missing is the option to move to the previous visited page, when you are navigating for instance between current day and My notes and then you need to come back to the day, when today from My notes you can only move to 2023 and then you need to find the current day in the annual view, which is uncomfortable. The option “”back to previous page” already exist but the link only lasts a few seconds.. To have any way to go directly to present day would be great. thanks

I understand that, but unfortunately that would require the use of Java Script implementation in the PDF file, which is of course possible, but is not supported by any if these devices, and would pose a security risk, as PDF Script implementation is very easy to exploit. So I get it, but it's not possible on these devices as they don't support such functionality.

Hello Voja, I just bought the MDO for the first time. Very good design. Thank you. I use a Samsung Tab Ultra. To run MDO properly it needs to run within an app. I tried the Samsung notes app,which has excellent pen functionality, but the hyperlink does not work. Is there a consensus in the community which android app works best for MDO? ie with excellent pen support, hyperlinks, fast page loading etc

Correction... in Samsung Notes, or the separate Samsung Notes PDF Reader, it is possible to alternate between Edit Mode (with various pens etc) and Reading Mode, where hyperlinking does work. But it feels a little clumsy. There must be a better app out there. I have tried 8 so far... nothing better yet

@21:52 For Notes/Lists, why not remove "Note #" and replace it with just "#" justified Left and then users can write in the blank space the note title. A lot easier than having to white out first. Plus this keeps the note number in the title.

What would be cool (but understand maybe not even possible) is, if you have a linked calendar it fills in the daily diary for your calendar. Then for to dos, if you had a master list of to dos, on each day select the ones you want to complete from the master list and it adds them to the days to dos. If you complete the todo that day, check the box next to the todo and it will remove that todo from the master list.

Theoretically, one could develop and publish an Android app on Google Play store, but then it would work only on devices that support the Google Play store, but more importantly, it wouldn't be possible, or it would be very difficult, to develop the app in such a way that it supports the E-Ink screen refresh protocols, because there isn't a unified API for such protocols. Without it, the writing aspect would be unusably slow. So, theoretically, the functionality side, absolutely possible, but to make it truly usable in real world, quite difficult, and would work only on a handful of devices.

Thanks! No, as they are not compatible systems. The only way you could do that is to export your current, annotated version of MDO as a PDF and import it into the other. That way you can do it, but I would advise against exporting as SVG or Vector PDF, as the size will quickly escalate. So keep it as baked down PDF (image or Bitmap PDF it's called, depending on the platform used) and the size will be manageable, but you will lose the ability to edit (erase, copy, paste) the baked down content.

Thanks, but I know that they work, that's not the problem. Problem is that their file transfer and conversion process is extremely unreliable, so for some users it will work without a hitch, sometimes, and for other it won't work, sometimes, or in my case, at all, because I am still unable to transfer MDO 2024 onto my Kindle Scribe. Maybe it has to do with Amazon's servers or something, but that's the reality of Kindle Scribe in general, unfortunately.

Yes, MDO works on Supernote as well, on any device that supports hyperlinks in PDFs and handwriting on PDFs. It works exactly the same on every device, wo there is no need to present it on different devices. The only differences are going to be device specific UI elements, but those you will be familiar with, as MDO is a PDF file, and if you have used a PDF file on your Supernote, then you will know how MDO will behave.

Hi, I have the 2023 MDO. How do I record appointments for 2024? Do I purchase 2024, install, and just go back and forth between the years? Is there sufficient disk space on the Remarkable II for both? Thank you!

Yes, that is correct, and yes, there is enough room on the Remarkable for both, as their core size is very small, but be aware that the MDO size will grow, as you make entries, and that will grow proportionally to how much content you fill it with. If you do start to run out of space, you can always export the old MDO as a PDF file to your computer and delete it from the Remarkable. In fact, this is what I recommend users to do, as a form of backup, because digital storage can and does fail from time to time, so it's a good idea to make regular backups of the content you care about.

I just bought your MDO for boox tab x . I am a little confused . when i put an event in my daily planner I thought it might show a mark or something on the monthly calendar to indicate something is on that day but that appears not to happen . so am I doing something wrong as the only way I can see if I have something on is to into the actual day ! seems strange . can someone please help. it also doesnt copy over to the quaterly view as well etc . or am I suppose to manually write on everything ? Hello, MDO is a hyperlinked PDF file, not an app. As such it doesn't have the capability of automatically filling entries or looking up the current day etc, as these devices don't support such functionality in a PDF file..I would suggest watching the video in entirety, and you will then see exactly what it is, how it works and how to get the best out of it.

The only thing I would add, is that some users report that Send To Kindle works just fine for them with MDO (majority, thankfully), but for me, for example, it still doesn't work. So it's still not a 100% there, but it should work fine for the majority of people. Unfortunately I have zero control over how Send to Kindle service will work.

Is this movement just possible with hand? When I use the pen, it shows written scratches. What is the solution for that to move in MDO with pen?

That will depend on the device you use, as what you are describing is a system wide functionality, and not something I can affect in any way. If you are using the Remarkable, then currently that is not possible, as their system doesn't support that functionality.

As I mentioned, it works on anything that supports hyperlinks in PDF files and annotation of PDF files :)

Are you sure you uploaded them correctly? Can you see the files on the Desktop App? I would recommend following the installation instructions video, and use the Desktop App for transferring the files to your remarkable, and definitely be sure that you unpacked the zip archive and that you are attempting to transfer the unpacked files, not the files from a simply opened zip archive, as that will not work.

Maybe it is already able to be done? But I like the idea of changing the layout on my nova air home screen so it is a planner/organiser first and a reader second. e.g. a way I could say set the lock screen to display helpful information/events I want and when I unlock it, it's all business. I am sorry - but i definitely hate that am/pm stuff. Why didn't you make two versions? I am pretty sure, that most of your users do not need the am/pm topic. Why do you force them to cross or blind out every single hour of every day? Sorry for that - but in my oponion that is a terrible and illogical disimprovement.

Thank you for the purchase :) 1. These devices do not support JavaScript implementation and execution in PDF files, so any tupe of automation is not supported and not possible to incorporate in a PDF file and have it work on the device. So, no. 2. Yes, but this will depend on the device and services being used. Most of the platforms have screen sharing options, and also dedicated cloud backup solutions, which after synchronizing will reflect changes made in the document. There is always also the option of manually exporting the version you need, and using it further on. 3. This will depend on the platform being used, but some devices do have the option to filter only the pages with handwriting notes (called scribble on Boox) on them, and yes, this can be done in Boox in NeoReader. The document itself cannot have that functionality for the same limitation reasons explained in point 1.
