As a cis woman who has always looked much younger than my age, it gets better when you no longer look like a child. I was so happy to turn 30. People then guessed I was 21. Yay, adult age! But I got carded when I was 28 when I was buying a DVD that was rated over 16. I am now 41 and people think I'm in my early 30s. I only have a couple individual gray hairs and very few fine lines. I'm sure you will experience the same. It can be nice, but only after you look like an adult. I love the name you and your mom chose together. And keep lying about your dead name. Obviously people will use it against you if they actually know the real name.

My favorite thing in life currently as a somewhat newly transitioned guy (1 1/2-ish years) is people wearing Trump hats or blue lives matter merch gendering me correctly with no issues when I know damn well they would freak out if they learned I’m trans and they probably say things like “it’s so easy to tell when someone’s trans”.

As a transmasc/non-binary person I have changed names my entire life, honestly it was so hard to deal with especially when others pointed out how many times i'd change it. Made me feel like something was wrong because i couldn't stick to one identity, I was always switching it up. But honestly seeing your videos and channel made me feel like I had a place to call my own, somewhere where I could laugh at homophobes in a corner and not be judged, thank you! ^^

Most gender affirming thing that ever happened to me was when my classmates wanted to prank someone by introducing me to him as a guy and I suggested they should introduce me as 'Tobi' (my chosen name). And one my friends just said 'That name fits you so well, you really look like a Tobi!' Makes me smile every time I think about it.

I chose a name that was a masculinized version of my deadname which helps a bit with the transition! It always makes me laugh to think terfs think trans men want to be teen boys. Like yes, my goal is twink but also if I get old while on t, i like to think i'd take after my father. He was a babyfaced guy so it stands to reason i look younger. People are dumb and SO mean tho. I try to just avoid it as best as i can because these weirdos can't mind their business. The best revenge is to live your best life

my name is the same letter as my deadname but the vibes are soooooo different. i mean, i only got my deadname because 3 of my great grandmas were named like this. i have felt connection to the first letter, but nothing else. and i've always thought my deadname was super outdated, lame, ugly, didn't fit me and was hard to make into a cute nickname. choosing my own name was one of the most liberating things in being trans. i felt so in control. i have chosen a name that really fits me and is, in my opinion, just beautiful. my name is Mikołaj, which is pronounced "mikowai". it is a polish wersion of Nicholas. i go by Miki in my day to day life. i feel like it reflects who i am fully. i loved choosing it.
