Great choice! I went from Thailand to Malaysia and my channel started to grow at 10x the rate. Having an English speaking audience is huge. I'd say the Malaysians are gonna love your style of content too.

Well, temperature can be lower than in Chiang Mai but they have higher humidity. When you leave the hotel you run against a wall (of air) but it feels like a wall of bricks. Was in KL a decade ago for several times and always enjoyed it very much. Even at that time the train system + BTS style connections were great. The excitement is when taking a bus and the bus driver forgets to tell you when your stop arrives. Had no Google maps at that time to control where I am.

Cool Wayne. I love the opening and interlude format, I could watch that a long while. Looking forward to this as Malaysia was my home away from home back in the good ole' days. I love Thailand but in Penang and even KL. and Japan, I felt more at ease and content, even if Thailand was more fun. I'd be back in Penang ASAP if the Visa situation was different, but maybe Sarawak is worth look as the Visa is easier. It might be worth a trip for you as well. Cheers mate!

Your vlogs/videos Wayne have inspired me to get moving around the world......I will be travelling to UK, Turkey, Malta, back to Sydney, then Bali, Bangkok, Hua Hin, Cambodia, Vietnam, Da Nang, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Jomtein and Pattaya who knows after that just keep exploring I guess probably Philipines .....Keep up the good work and stay safe in your travels Wayne.🙂

You will love it there Wayne. Plenty to see and do. Outside of KL there are places that are a tad grubby but you'll enjoy travelling around just the same. The diverse cultures of the Chinese, Indians and Malays appear to work very well together as one society. Plenty of food options there then. Enjoy buddy. Looking forward to the next few weeks. Should be fun. 🤩

I was betting you would have been going to Vietnam. I enjoyed my time in KL, but I was only there for a about a week. I'm surprised you didn't sort out an e-sim. Make sure you check out Jalan Alor in central KL, it's a long street with loads of food vendors. I also did the KL tower, which is a revolving restaurant, great views of the city, although the day was very misty, so couldn't see much, on the day. Not sure if you're planning to go elsewhere in Malaysia, but I went from KL to Penang on the train, via a Ferry from Butterworth, it was pretty cool. I then got a speedboat to Langkawi, which has a very Thai vibe, or at least it did when I was there. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Can't wait for the rest of the vlogs. They love a mall in KL, one was over a mile long, I think you can walk it from the station all the way to downtown. There is even a mall with a roller coaster in it, if you want to check it out, it was in the Berjaya Times Square mall, assuming it's still there!!

You can tap in and out with your visa card on ERL (KLIA ekspres and transit) and KTMB Komuter trains. MRT, LRT and bus in KL should allow tap in and out later this year. In where I stay (a southern state), most buses already accept visa.

Little India in a good place to go for a nice curry, you can walk there from KL Sentral. Some decent cheap hotels around there and plenty to see, cheap SIM cards down there.

Malaysia is a great place and, contrary to popular opinion, I find it cheaper than Thailand. You may pay the same amount for accommodation but you get an absolutely huge place compared to Thai condos. Oh and the food? Oh mate the food is immense. Enjoy! Hope you get to Penang, that place is special.

China town in KL is worth a visit, Makes for great content and it’s the capital of fake luxury goods. You can pick up some fake Louis Vuitton purses for your lady friends. They love that stuff.

Why don't you get E-sim,they are very popular now and as soon as you step off the plane you are ready to go,saves the hassle of looking for sim-store in the airports,most phones now are suitable for E-sims.

yes, it maybe right choice. Thai is great, whatever bkk or pattaya or chiang mai, but stay too long will become boring and kind of lonely because many of us cannot speak Thai, Malaysia is good , just stay away KLCC which is high living cost.
