I'm Wayne, a laid-back lad from the Southwest of England, and I've embarked on the most epic journey of my life: living the dream in the awesome city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Here in the Land of Smiles, I've found my passion, creating everyday travel vlogs showcasing my everyday life.. I hope you can join me and follow my Thailand journey.
Knocking out that wall to make a double - then make what would be the kitchen on one side into a little balcony, and a touch of reorganising the layout. That could make a nice apartment.
Not sure if the postage stamp view, construction noise, minimal amenities and distance from shops is worth 1 million plus the costs of renovation. Can we go back for another look in a few months?
Really? wow! This view is great compared to most I've seen, and 2 of the cities best shopping centers are not far. I agree on the noise though. Yes, I'll hope to go back in maybe 6 months and see what's happening. Thanks.
Good variety of apartments & great pricing . Fran has done a nice job with everything so far , It will look great when it’s all completed - Thanks WW 🤠✌️✔️👋👍
The renovated one overlooking the paddy fields and mountains for 1.5 million is my choice for sure. That is only around 60K Oz. Amazing value. Cheers Wayne and Fran 🤩
Looks internally like an old soviet public building not a bad thing just the style is interesting it doesn’t have a Thai feel at all again not a bad thing.
Your Vlogs are great Wayne i have gleaned lots of info from past posts which have been a great help but this! Its way over priced as you can buy a brand new 2 bedroom single storey house out towards Doi Saket - Bo Sang for 1.5 million. fully furnished and 50s+ sq mtrs
Thanks James, I appreciate it mate. It’s easy to find houses and stuff cheaper or similar though mate, I see them all the time, just depends what you want. Some people want that condo life, next to malls and shopping centers or certain types of living. Price not bad. Those houses are the cheapest of the cheap quality too mate. Cheers buddy.
@@randyirvine5858 Not the right area for me mate, but great deals, especially when it's all done and new swimming pool. Big C and Central Festival just up the road too. Was the balcony shaded? I can't remember nothing mate. I think it get's some in the afternoon.
The new renovated studios are very pleasing and affordable but like you said, my main issue is the building being very old. I wouldn't want to move in and I'm constantly hearing construction work being done, thats another issue.
Hi, The construction is not everyday but when there's some work to be done it's only during certain hours of the day. Actually lots of expats live in this building and very happy. Main value is that when you buy cheap you have room to grow in value and have a nice ROI for yourself. 🙂
The studio’s looked good…. Would be okay if you’re just going to rent for a few or 6 months…. To small for me though….i would need a place for living a long time..12 months+…. I still really like the one on the 2nd floor with huge balcony….and 2 bedrooms…
All the apartments above that balcony space where ppl will make a bbq, will be full of smoke all the time. If I live in such an apartment there will be consequence for those people having a bbq.
@@TheGandorX It's not Fran's place mate. She won't be living there. She was just making scenarios. Maybe someone would have a BBQ but I can't see that myself.
As a another vlogger said "The older condos were made of solid walls" rather than plaster, so noise is low from adjoining rooms. New condos can be noisy.
Refreshing to hear someone that's doing the Thai life this way. I'd imagine you have a great life not stressing about having enough money, clearly you're a much more realistic person than most. Just a normal bloke taking life easy one day at a time
Been to Wat Umong a few times but never checked out the area. Looks good around there & the 6000 Baht room was a cracker. Especially with the swimming pool & internet!
Nice Chiang Mai excursion as always. Can you do a little update on that LanDin area or restaurants and cafes, you passed near the end? Seems like a lot of travelers and businesses are back.
