I was requested to review this product by many people as it is quiet pricy. In my opinion, if you want thin roti like hand rolled, rotimatic won't make roti thin. It gives more like paratha kind roti which I would prefer with my lentil, beans, paneer curries but not suitable for my Gujarati thali. It takes good amount of space on the counter and heavy as it is a robot after all that does all your work. I can see myself using this rotimatic for many recipes such as tortillas, paratha, bhakti, puri, pita and more...thanks to Rotimatic for allowing me to review this product for my viewers.

My Rotimatic stopped working due to a mechanical failure in just a year and half. I contacted the customer care and since it was out of warranty they wanted another $450 to repair it! This shows how poorly built these machines are. Never expected they had such a short shelf life. The economics doesn't seem to work out. For the amount of Rotis I have made in the last year and half, the cost per roti comes out to $4 per roti! Really disappointed with the machine.

Guys, she has just reviewed the product and has not forced anyone to buy. It helps all those interested to buy. Let me tell you reviewing a product is not easy. Appreciate the effort and it doesn't matter from where the product has come. She has paid for it or not unless you are not paying to watch the review. Such machines can be beneficial to old people, bachelor's etc so what's the fuss about. Good Job Bhavna!

Versatile Vicky not only for bachelors but also for working moms who have long working hours, it's a boon for them and their kids and family. They don't have to worry about their kids getting pan burns or eating junk and getting freshly prepared rotis at the same time. Everyone who are criticising her, I think it's a bit costly affair but she doesn't decide the price and she shouldn't be blamed for that. Also if it works for you then great but if it doesn't work for you then it doesn't mean it's not a good deal for everyone else. Although that is a bit harsh on my pocket too, I would easily spend that amount if it means my family stays away from junk and pan burns while I'm away. You gotta do what you gotta do. Be a bit civilised and stop being a criticiser about everything. Keep it up Bhavna !

You should give ur unbiased opinion when product reviewing ... I can see that the rotis are thick and the edges look raw ... and it’s a $ 1000 !!! You might have got it as a gift from the company but that is very expensive for a lot of people

It is not only too expensive space occupying too.everybody cannot afford also initially microwave oven came now they say it is not good so also plastic and people are getting back to copper ,glass earthen ware rock salt etc .better not to add on things to the kitchen and be simple even if you have to work more.

Its not as bad as you all are commenting. It looked totally fine when she made a closer look. Good for very busy working mums, atleast they can enjoy Fresh roti as compared to store bought full of Preservatives roti!!

I have rotimatic since March 2017 and after using it i would like to warn people around that rotis coming out from rotimatic are little uncooked from edges and due to thickness its not properly cooked.. before investing thousand dollar i would suggest have demo roti from friend/someone who has it.. According to me its not worth of thousand dollar

Honestly, this product is not great at all ! I’ve tested it at a friend’s place & the rotis are very thick almost like naans which make them hard & rubbery after a little while. Also, it’s the size of a mammoth & occupies a lot of counter space & above everything it’s a 1000 dollars!!! But, I agree with bhavana, because sometimes it gets really difficult to put a meal together especially when you have to manage the house & run behind kids & it only gets worse if you’re a working woman. So, it’s definitely a healthier option than buying frozen rotis from the store & heating them up at home. Works for people who are not too picky about the rotis & who have a lot of counter space in the kitchen to accommodate this thing & who don’t have a problem with the cost of course!

My sister has this rotimatic. She enjoys it because she always used to buy lebanies bread for their family meal. It has two drawbacks..1: only one person can eat at a time. It's very slow and you must eat it fresh. otherwise, it becomes rubbery. You cant make all rotis and eat with the family. 2: rotis are thick and look unlooked. We cant eat dry subjis with it. Though good for those "something is better than nothing" kind of people.

Bhavna actually when I saw the roti coming out, I thought It was a little thick even when you set it to thinnest setting. At the end you actually told it won't make very thin Gujarati thali roti. I 100% agree with you. Not only that you cannot prepare stuffed paratha using Rotimatic. Other than that it is very useful pricey gadget. We were looking at this when it was in prototype, then we are still thinking!!

It's nice to teach the traditional way. Many of them are following your recipes and its better to follow our old traditional way.. That's how we can maintain tradition. Already in the US who cooks everyday. They store an these in fridge for a week. Haha.. And then the roti maker and store it for a week.. We earn to eat but can't eat fresh food also... What a life. However you clean the maker it will have particles of wheat and then?

They should rename this machine to rotlamatic. Because rotla is thicker Then rotli. I don't own this machine but I've seen other videos it's very noisy and the roti is too thick. Most Gujarati won't like this they love their beautiful wife making the roti by hand.

People need to understand that you cannot compare a hand made product with a gadget , also there are many uses for different product for different people , some people are not good at making rotis by hand ,some people don't like making rotis and some people don't want their mom or wife's be in kitchen all day in Indian summer making rotis ,for them it's an awesome product . You need to compromise on taste in case you need comfort . We should encourage mass production of such devices , currently it's patented but if we encourage this device soon companies like Philips can come with their rotimatic robot and who knows next versions are better

Agree! But making handmade phulkas is time consuming. So is washing clothes by hand. Doing dishes by hand and walking everywhere by foot. Rotimatic rotis are absolutely delicious, soft and can be made on-demand. That alone makes it awesome technology.

making rotis by hand manually is far better for heart for you burn calories in making..just like washing utensils by hand is a very good natural workout than the dishwasher..seriously saying with experience..but i think bhavnaben did do a unbiased view that the rotis from rotomatic are not like the original rotis made manually

Yes, even though i am a single bachelor, i do cook for myself including making rotis at home as i love cooking and also bcos have to offer home based thaal to God everyday ..- don't take me wrong - rotomatic could be good for working busy people but the quality may not seem worth the efforts forget the price..and nowadays multigrain rotis prepared daily are very easily available at major indian groceries at dart cheap so all this is a big khatpat and then cleaning the machine is another headache

Thoroughly disappointed with this video! I believe you need to specify in your video (like all other youtubers) if you bought this device on your own or if the company gave it to you to try their product out. The rotis don't look anywhere near great and I'm quite sure you wouldn't use it for your daily cooking either.
