We finally dyno the Ecoboost on E30 and it makes some pretty unexpected numbers! If you enjoyed the video don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already!
Hey man quick question I do want to get my eco tuned with you guys how does that process work also my car started dropping RPMs and almost shut off after I got a muffler delete it happened a few times and then hasn't happened for a day do you know what this could be
i had the oppurtunity to pick up and ecoboost (2018) but i ended up saving a bit more and buying a 2008 GT500 with 4k miles. think i made the right choice lol.
Holy shit ballz. Congrats on those great #s. Did you have the levels street intercooler, then upgrade to the race cooler afterwards? The one in your intro seems smaller than the one used in this video. Also why did you go with the levels, over other good name brands? The pricing seems pretty dam good for their race version. I will most likely pick that up when it comes time for more cooling needed in the future. Keep up the good content man. Love your build :-)
I recently put an ETS intercooler on my car and it's running way better.. I'm stock with a CAI and muffler delete.. been having overboost condition issues for a while, the intercooler helped a bit but I still get overboost at full throttle and car goes into limp mode. Do you think it might be a wastegate issue or is it just because of the muffler delete and CAI? Also for the longest, the car feels like it bogs at full throttle, it feels way faster at just 3/4 throttle, you think that might be a plug issue?
Its because its overboosting probably the ecu will close the throttle trying to compensate chances are its a wastegate issue of some kind i installed an x37 hybrid on my fiesta st and i have an intake and catless dp and intercooler and when my tuner sent my initial 93 octane starter tune to get the tuning process started he said i was getting throttle closers i was doing 28 psi which was way more than he was asking for on that tune and the throttle would completely close trying to compensate for it...i accidently forgot to hook up the wastegate after install hooked it up and all was well and i continued with tuning im tuned by ryan at pd tuning on 93 and e30 but i run e30 all the time..makes over 280 whp and torque at 2600 its pretty quick for what it is...hope to run it this weekend at the track...good luck with your problem
Any issue with mixing e40? I believe that's at the limits of the stock fuel system. I'm thinking of blending e35 for my E30 tune to be a little more knock resistance but I'm not sure if that is safe? I'm afraid to ask Adam lol but my Google foo is being weak.
I've seen a couple auto mafia videos with this guy in them. I just have to say, he would look so much better without the beard. Why look older then you really are.
I just don't get it. When I had my 2012, V6 Mustang, I watched dozens of racing, tuning and mods videos and the comments sections were loaded with haters. The 3.7L is a great engine that can make almost 500 horsepower on fairly low boost with a supercharger. The torque is a lot lower, but they are still quick cars. I live in California and nobody makes a CARB legal supercharger for that engine. But, I've seen quite a few EcoBoost Mustang videos and their seems to be much less hate for the car. I wonder why? Don't get me wrong, I think it's stupid to hate on either car. Some of the dumbest comments on RU-vid come from Mustang GT owners. How fucking dumb do you have to be, to trash talk the entry level versions of cars, which account for at least 60% of the sales of your favorite models? Use your heads, people! Without the V6 or I4 versions of Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers, the V8 American Muscle and Pony car markets would dry up.
@@Fi-hu7oj I drive 60 miles round trip to work every day in bumper to bumper traffic. My average speed is about 24 miles per hour. I was coming from a Honda Civic that got 37 mpg. I just didn't think it was very practical to own a V8. I now own a Dodge Charger with a 5.7 liter Hemi V8. I get about 19 mpg on average because of the traffic. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes it seems like a waste of money. I make over $100K per year and I'm single, so it's not like I dont have the money. It's more a question of, "Is this what I really want to do with my money, stick it in my gas tank and do 90% of my driving at 25 miles per hour?" Some weeks, the answer is "yes" and other times, I wish I still had my Civic or my V6 Mustang. It's a love/hate thing
Sweet man, I don't have access to a dyno, but do you ever check the estimate hp/tq #s that your ap3 say? I just bought my 2018 last Oct and have done a few mods, but nothing crazy and my cobb's hp/tq figures say around 355-370hp and 410-425 tq. In you experience, how accurate are the Cobb #s? Thanks man, also congrats on the #s , I love your ECO bro.
Zachary Carlock the 18 and 19 have the same head gasket. It’s just a risk you take when trying to push these engines hard. I doubt you’ll go as far as I do though so you’ll be fine. The 10 speed paired with the eco is probably a pretty fun combination though
@Watch My Eco Nice man! Looks really good. Just got a 2018 Mustang Ecoboost a year ago. 10 speed auto, basic trim but with Apple car play. I ordered Cosmis Racing wheels for my car. 18x9.5 for all four corners. Gonna put Bridgestone Potenzas 265/40r/18s on all of them. Hopefully it turns out good. I also got lowering springs from Ibach and Cobb V3 Accessport.
@@WatchMyEco hey its all good, me either! I have Goodyear 245's on the front of my wife's G8 GT and 275 Federal SS 595'S on the rear and they hook pretty good for a cheaper tire! I mainly asked because I recognized that tread pattern on your front tires. Love it, nice car!
Those are impressive #'s. When driving on the street in the mid-range, say 2000 - 4000 rpm, how does the car drive compared to the factory tune? And what about on the top end (over 80 mph), does it pull or run out of power?
My 1968 VW beetle would eat that thing for breakfast, lunch or dinner, anytime that my little pony wants an ass whooping I'll be your huckleberry. My bug runs a 10.1 1/4
Watch My Eco I have an eco but it was pre modded sounds just like a v8, yes I know it sounds Ridiculous. The previous owner changed it not much but a couple of bolts on. Everyone I come across keep asking if it’s a v8 and what set up I have but it’s an eco. Anyways I detour, are there any plans for you to change it pistons? To add more boost? Maybe the head? I know you changed a few things in your pass videos. Just wondering if there is any more plans on anything else or just leaving alone?
@@WatchMyEco Ha! Thats funny, was just looking on Sarasota Ford's website earlier as I'd heard they are great to deal with and keep a good stock of Mustangs!
Awesome thing about tuned turbo cars. You can turn down the boost without picking up a wrench. At the track you just make sure you on the appropriate fuel and remap to bad ass.
I can’t bare to watch this eco boost monstrosity. It’s nothing against you either I just can’t understand why ford would do this to the mustang, it’s fucking weird, but I do hope you’re enjoying your car, to each it’s own
No one cares about Dyno numbers . It's Dynamics change when it's moving it's own weight and battling air resistance. That said that thing is making some steam, just imagine a similar set up on a coyote 👹
