Wow thank you so so much for this information! I’m a 28f & not too knowledgeable about cars, but you helped tremendously!! I’m thinking about buying an ecoboost soon, what tires do your recommended? ☺️🙏🏻
My ecoboost will stutter a little bit after getting fuel sometimes from different gas stations. But it goes away after a lil while. I got new plugs already and it’s stock.
I use E-30 in my FlexFuel '14 Chevy Equinox (2.4L 4-cyl.) and I get 28-29 mpg on trips. Price is currently $3.099. Average mpg is in the 23-26 mpg range.
You can run your cobb ots tunes just fine trust me. I've been running stage 2 91octane for about a year now and nothing has gone wrong and I definitely push this car. Just use the right stage your car needs. Each stage you are required more and more mods. Rn I am fbo. Trust me cobb has been in business a while and are professionals, your car will be fine as long as you have your mods associated with the stage you run.
Catch can is useful on MANY cars. NA included. Mercedes M156 for example where oil collects in the intake plenum. Here it is because it is direct injected. The fact it is turbo has nothing to do with it. I agree with the sentiment in many of the posts.
I just bought my 17 ecoboost 4 months ago. Blown engine.. my warranty just got me a brand new engine with zero miles that costed 10k.. but how new can it be when a car with 44k miles ends up with a blown engine.. 🤦🏻♂️
This mod will definitely work and give you a cool sound. The only thing to be aware of is, the MAP sensor has measured all of the air that enters into the turbo. When you open the throttle, the computer will think a larger amount of air is in the system and increase fuel, which will cause a rich condition for a short amount of time. This can cause a hesitation or a spurt of dark smoke from the tailpipe. Make sure that you aren’t experiencing this.
Thus is Tony . My ecoboost 2017 Mustang is running great . This is the best car I ever owned. No problems. Lots of pick up and go . Sport plus mode with the paddal shifters is lots of fun . Gas mileage is great . On the highway 80mph cruise control normal mode 36.8 mpg In the city 24 mpg. The car is stock for now .I will add mode little at time. I get a lot of compliments. On the car . I show the car at cars and coffee. I have a detailing aircraft cleaning business. And I detailed my Mustang ceramic coating . And detail the engine and ceramic coated all the painted surfaces under the hood . You can eat off the engine. Perfect clean . 75,000 miles on the car . Looks new. The car is all yellow. Looks like glass. Have a great dayt
Why stop at 750hp when could just swap in even stronger engine and go even higher numbers. It is not like you still have original block of Ecoboost Mustang, so at this point it doesn't really matter what block you use as it is has no longer original engine block either way.
If you gonna swap the engine in an ecoboost mustang you might as well get the v8. It's not about tryna make the most power and be fsster. It's about making power with what you got.
My 2015 mustang Ecoboost just turned 100k and I have had no major problems. Ford says 100k on the plugs I changed them at 60k. I change the oil at 3k to 4k mine runs fine
Boo hooo pitty me I can’t just expect my car to just work without having to do maintenance Oh dearest me if doesn’t sound like pure compensation in a car I don’t want it
Disconnects power going to the fuel pump. Next step, start your engine. The engine will run for a second, then sputter to a stop. That empties the fuel rail of pressure. It's now safe to disconnect the sensor without spraying fuel all over the place.
Damn so u are saying Ford never learned a thing from the whole dsm and evo era like that Japan makes the most reliable and powerfull 4 cyl turbo motors
If the exhaust was mounted differently. It changes the tone and harmonics of the engine. Hence why this car sounds like a fart tuba. Glad the platform is finally getting the respect it deserves.
How can you complain about sound bro ? If you want sound go get v8 , this car is made for people who’s gonna drive daily and don’t care about having v8 …
Great video. A lot of people tend to rush right over things like spark plugs and a catch can but it really makes a difference in power and reliability whilst making that power as well.
My 2021 is fine; nothing unusual required. I didn't expect it to be a GT--but this guy apparently did. OTOH, having worked in the industry for decades, I know better than to buy a car in the first year or two of a new model cycle.
Man I’ve been look at a nice track /daily and the cohost might be the top of the list with the weight rwd turbo . I currently drive AUDI and VW . I was looking at f80 m3 crank bolt , then their the m340 and m240 the weight 3900 lb with the 350hp guessing same as eco boost 😅. I like the new car because power per $ . Also the v8 m3 very close to the eco boost .
