Trevor playing catch with the fan was so wholesome...I like that he kept asking until they understood rather than just moving on. Japan has been perfect for him. Can't wait to see more TB content.
Yeah Japan is tough. It's hard to distinguish "no" from "we don't understand" sometimes. Cause people won't come out and say no. But when that kid realizes who Trevor is it'll be awesome
Dodgers fan here. Went to a game in Houston with my kids. The only player that interacted with the many dodgers fans was Bauer. Son got a signed ball from him. Dodgers gave the nose up treatment in Pittsburgh too.
Bauer channel is the reason people like Mookie betts and JRod started doing vlogging. Love you Bauer, I have been saving money to get to Japan to watch you
@@HBKStyles What's wrong with saving money to go watch a player play? People do it literally all the time. It's not dumb or a waste of money or something.
@@HBKStyles maybe you will stop commenting rude comments to people to get over your own problems lol. I mean, we all know your insecure, but you don't have to take it out on others 😀
@@ForWeAreMany6but look at the crimes being committed there by military dudes… U can’t excuse their behavior but u can also see where they’re coming from
I’m not even speaking on that but I see your point, I was more so speaking about how Okinawans kinda just hate everyone to include themselves. It’s bunk.
11:05 Mochi(餅/RiceCake): noun. A food made from "Mochi-gome (glutinous rice)" Mochi-mochi (モチモチ)〜: onomatopoeic word or adjective. It refers to the texture of a rice cake. It is sometimes used not only for foods but also for baby's cheeks. Trevor, you are right!
The Japan move seems like a great decision. It's been 30 years since I've been there, but loved living there 3 years while in the Navy. We always took our food from China Town over to the waterfront park. You're being a great ambassador for your team and the human race.
After everything Trev has been through he deserves all the good things that happen to him in japan. It’s very cool to see the support of the fan base in japan very respectful and cool people it seems
The difference between a winner and a loser is the winner goes on to make himself better after he loses. That's why you will always be a winner no matter what
18:03 Meiji Jingu Stadium was built for universities baseball.🏫⚾️The Meiji Jingu Shrine and the TOKYO BIG6 BASEBALL LEAGUE(six prominent universities in the Tokyo area) provide construction funds, so the Swallows do not have priority. The Yakult Swallows do not build their own stadium, they just rent it.😅
I love the authentic content you bring us Trevor, from showing up the Japanese lifestyle to genuine interaction with random people you meet, truly a gem of an experience, Tear it up over there for us 🔥🔥
Next episode will be great (just watched his Japanese channel). Trevor seems to be enjoying Japan a lot - he is ultra nice. I can't believe he had issues in MLB. I mean, he loves baseball and he is very humble in Japan. I'm impressed.
Trevor's Vlog has gone from "a great vlog" to "my absolute favorite vlog!" I get to learn about Japan while also having behind the scenes of Japanese baseball and a major league pitcher.
Dude, Trevor this series in Japan is killing it. So interesting, no way to follow Japanese league or get any insight into it. Very different than mlb behind the scenes. Keep crushing it, hope to see you back in the mlb at some point
Props to Bauer for letting us see the countryside stadium, they only hold few matches for NPB even us Japanese it’s hard to find footage from stadiums that arnt owned by NPB teams.
Trevor has a legit scale. He said that his burrito was a 7 and that it was good enough to eat every day, which is exactly what a 7 is. The more I watch, the more I like this dude.
Since I started watching Trevor's vlogs and videos and now knowing he and his dad were nerds and they basically used math and science to learn how to play baseball it's so funny to see how analogical he (Trevor) is with EVERYTHING 😂😂 it's pretty interesting
You know man I have been watching your channel for a lil while now. You seem to be a very down to earth genuine person, by how you interact with fans and the use of this platform to promote baseball to the young kids. Its sad that someone like you got treated the way you did over here in the US. Keep being you my guy, these videos bring joy to a lot of people.
Watching from okinawa, hopefully I can swing up to Yokohama to catch a game. Pretty awesome that you took time out of your day to play catch with a stranger.
I loved watching Bauer in the MLB he's so animated and passionate about baseball. I'm happy to still have the vlogs always funny and always bring reminding you of old memories. Gotta love it.
I can’t understand why lots of MLB players had a issue with him he seems like a real good guy. Thumbs up Bauer hope you get a 10 year MLB contract next season
he had a past where he basically behaved like an entitled jerk. but many others have done worse. I'm glad to see him find peace within himself and work on bettering his own life.
@@albertlwj I don't come from a country where we have baseball, I just follow the youtube channel, and I'm kind of at a loss why he is seen as a bad guy. Part of it seems to be because he was pointing out cheating, which just makes me go WTF, wouldn't you applaud that if you followed a sport? 🤷
@@ayyywerelisteninghere1022 he had a lot of cheating allegations against himself and was constantly tweeeting and saying the most controversial things. Like the other guy said tho he seems to have changed himself a bit for the better
@@ayyywerelisteninghere1022 I actually like Bauer & he’s not a bad guy but he did have a “god complex” in college & when he got to the Bigs & that’s most of why he didn’t get along with coaches & teammates. It’s hard to pick up on it in these videos but if you’re not a person with a “god complex” than you probably won’t see it unless you are actually interacting in person with him.
I'm so happy to see him documenting all of this after what happened. It shows the world how amazing of a person you are Trevor! Smart, kind, intelligent. Good luck this year in Japan. Hopefully we can watch you play in the MLB soon.
I watched Japanese ver. and English ver. There are each of goodness's. As a Japanese, Japanese ver. is of course easy to understand. But English ver. could be understood what Bauer thought to say. So, I like both of videos. I can't wait for next Sunday.
It’s crazy to see both of these worlds collide. Trevor being an absolute menace on the mound but no body can understand him. I love that people are showing so much respect for him already. And he’s showing his love and respect back
Hi Bauer. It was a bitter outing a while ago but live and learn, man. You don't yet check all the boxes. As you know, NPB is ranked among the best league in the world. If you keep throwing those juicy hanging high pitches, Japanese hitters will smack them effortlessly with flatter batting. It's crystal clear that you better just pitch the ball low frequently. That's a cinch for former you, right? Adjust and adapt to new circumstances and bring back your glory days! Cheers! ✨
Manfred doesn’t know WHAT he just did 😆 - By the time Bauer is done in Japan people will LOVE him and he will be bigger than most superstars not named Shohei Ohtani. When Bauer comes back to the states the dude will have whatever stadium he’s pitching in ROCKING!
It makes me so happy seeing people just so excited to see Trevor and Trevor taking pictures with them. You can just see the joy and happiness and peoples faces. That’s what life is all about.
Dude I only ever heard about you because of the controversy in the MLB but I got into watching these vlogs and you’ve become my favorite baseball player bar none! It’s been super cool watching your journey in Japan and I’m excited to see where your career leads you in the coming years! Thanks for the vids.
18:00 Meiji Jingu(Shrine ) owns this stadium. Owner prioritizes College baseball. College baseball was more popular than NPB until 1950's in Japan. 24:00 Young teammates are enjoying with Bauer!
I work at an under Armour and can say the rock collection is pretty good quality and usually a little better made than the regular clothing but it is also a bit pricier. Usually the fabric is a bit thicker and the stitching is a little better as well.
I appreciate the end where you owned up to it, even the best players can feel the pressure of the game especially with the owners watching. But when you can see what you did wrong and then do something different the next time, that’s what makes a great player IMO 💯
I don’t comment a lot but this is amazing to be able to watch what the day to day is. Thanks for allowing us to see the inside of your day to day. Love the channel and keep pushing!
Love these vlogs by Trevor man.. dude is different in every way.. I take it a breath of fresh air. Thank you for taking us with you. Best of luck in the rest of the season.
Why is college baseball favored over professional baseball at Jingu Stadium? It has something to do with the history of the development of baseball in Japan: In 1905, the Waseda University baseball team made its first trip to the United States, bringing back many things from the home of baseball, from technology to equipment. This made a great contribution to the development of baseball in Japan, and baseball became popular throughout the country. Until Shigeo Nagashima joined the Tokyo Giants, college baseball was more popular than professional baseball.
Dude I'm a Dodger's fan since the 1960's and you can't even imagine how many posts I was in saying you got screwed!! MLB bullshit when not guilty gets a punishment, I've been there with jobs I had. Love your posts and it's obvious THEY LOVE YOU OVER THERE!!! Wish you the best of luck
In Japan, high school baseball is a very exciting event in the summer. It is a national sporting event and has produced many heroes. The national tournament is popular with many Japanese citizens, and everyone cheers for their local team. Ichiro and Shohei Otani also played in the national tournament during their high school years. I hope that Bauer will be able to experience and enjoy this unique Japanese baseball culture.
Good to see you again Mr.Bauer speaking of your second game, NPB batter seem to have diffrent strategy from MLB players, They can handle up belt fastball pretty well, You might want to throw out low fastball instead, Japanese retired legends often talk alots about how important it is to be able to pinpoint a fast at outside low corner strikezone, they said if you are hesitating, throw a fastball outlow, there is a good chance batter would just look at it than swing it. Just saying.
The people who approach you in this video are the TRUE baseball fans in Japan. You haven’t even been there 3 months and they already know your face in public.
9:40 Those mochi sweet are called goma (sesame) dango in Japan. It tastes anko (bean jam) sweet and I love it!. Actually that is a Chinese sweet but very famous in Yokohama China town. There are several kinds of mochi sweets such as dango and please try some.
Can’t wait until your BayStars jerseys are back in stock. I was one of the cujons who missed out on the first run. Love your work, both on and off the mound!
I went to a few games today for minor and college level games and i kept saying people were getting the sword and “by you” and folded and it made me realize how big you and the momentum guys are getting everyone knew what to say when to say it and joined in. You’re forever a Dodger in my book brother much love from Virginia!! And happy northern day to your mom we love her very much.
Its funny how Trevor learned about high school and college baseball being held in higher regard than the majors over there.. I played for a team in high school against the Tokyo high school all stars.. the most fun experience.. I can relate to this.. this is awesome
I don't know why but after watching this, I can't wait to see Trevor experiencing our annual "Hot" ”Humid" "Annoying" Japanese summer. It would be a great vlog for sure lol
