I am Japanese. If someone else is telling you to stop doing RU-vid and focus on baseball, don't quit completely and keep going. RU-vid is the key to regaining popularity in baseball. Baseball is certainly the king of sports in Japan, but over the last ten years it has become less popular and I myself have lost interest in it. I think a big reason for these is that when I was little baseball was reported on the news every morning and night, and I was able to get to know the personalities of the players and the drama of them, so I thought it was interesting. In the last 10 years, I stopped watching TV at all and started watching RU-vid only. However, when I saw your RU-vid video, I realized that there was a lot of drama and baseball is interesting. What you are doing is a possible replacement for the old TV

All the super stars from each league I would say is on par with each other, but your average big league vs your average nippon player, there’s a clear difference as far as physicality and skill set. Generally an average nippon player has maybe 1 or 2 outstanding tools. Bat to ball skills and some speed. In mlb, your average player generally has 3 serviceable tools that can impact the game.

When I was a much younger man, I had a very long list in my head of the things I thought would make me happy. For example, I had a 1965 Shelby GT350 on my list. With every passing year of trying to gain a deeper understanding of myself, I would revisit my list and take off those things that I knew wouldn't create happiness within myself. Today, as I drive a 2016 Honda Accord and teach 8th grade English at a school in Mesa, AZ, I only have one thing thing on my list. "I want to be happy". That's it. How do I do that? It will take a lifetime. I try to not cloud my mind up with things of the material world, or the influence of negative people. You be you. Either life follows you, or you follow life. Happiness comes from within. I guess if I could give you any advice it would be to try and eliminate ALL those things that distract you (perhaps, you are hyper-focusing on the idea of what you think will make you happy) and just be happy -- NOW. Am I happy? No, but I am happier than I was and I will take it. You don't suffer fools and/or foolish things. MLB tried to put you in a box and you said, "No, thank you" and went to Japan. I respect that. I feel the happier you are, the better pitcher you are. Of course, when I mean "happy", I really mean being content and satisfied with your life and your place in the universe. Big fan. Great work. Believe in yourself. You can do it.

Trevor, "O genki desu ka?" You're bringing back so many memories of my time as an expatriate in Tokyo. The most helpful thing I ever did for myself was commit to using the following phrase upon any new interaction involving a Japanese person, whether a potential friend, colleague or stranger: "Watashi no Nihongo wa mada joozu de wa arimasen." Literally, it means my Japanese is not yet skillful. Implicitly, it demonstrates effort to coalesce into the culture and the humility to understand one cannot because you are a gaijin (literally, outside person). I follow that up with "Gomen nassai. Ego ga wakarimasu ka?" Literally, "I'm so sorry. Do you understand English?" And then I try to use any Japanese word or phrase I know within that conversation to show I'm still making an effort to be a benefit not a hindrance to them. The impact this had on my interactions in Japan could be the source of doctoral dissertations in linguistics, sociology and psychology. "Ostsu kare sama deshita!" and when in Meguro (on the Yamanote loop), give Tonki a try: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ULSGCkh1TMg.html

Did the US media report that Bauer was demoted to the Japanese minor leagues? In Japanese professional baseball, it is common for major league regulars to adjust in the minor leagues. This system is different from MLB's Roster. The Los Angeles Angels had Trout in the major leagues in 2021 despite his injury. Now Rendon is on the major league bench despite his injury. If MLB had adopted the same system as Japan, they would be in the minor leagues.

I believe the Japanese league is excellent for former MLB players who seek another opportunity at the MLB level. It reintroduces the fundamentals, passion, and humility. It has proven successful for numerous players, so let's hope Trevor performs admirably in Japan, allowing us to witness his return to the MLB.

Keep doing your best Trevor! Like my old teacher use to say… Inch by inch it’s a cinch, by the yard it’s hard. You gotta take everything in little by little and improve one step at a time, if you try to do too much at a time it’ll be harder to make progress and in the end you’ll be harder on yourself. Stay focused and make steady progress! Most importantly, enjoy what you do! If you are not having fun, what’s the point?! Smile and get good bro, you got this!

If I give you the dumbest examples, There is full of pseudo-Ichiro-type players in Japan. They do not overswing and contact more, ground-ball hit more and not looking for homers. But they are NOT Ichiro so they don't have powers like Ichiro and power 4seamer to the bottom corners are effective. Ichiro can hit them but they not. Keep it up Trev, I'm not a baystars fan but I like your pitching and watching your pitch on DAZN.

When I see videos from Japan as well as places in Europe like Vienna,.....and how orderly and respectful people act,....I'm truly ashamed of how people in America conduct themselves in public. There's a malignancy in America society that is getting worse almost daily. So sad.
