In this fishing video I show you my favorite Salmon Lures as well as the fishing lures the I consider to be the best lures for salmon river fishing. If you are new to salmon fishing this video includes salmon fishing tips and tricks that will show you how to catch river salmon with a variety of different salmon fishing lures. River fishing for salmon is totally different than fishing lakes. River salmon fishing requires a different set of lures. That is an important thing to determine off the bat. The best Salmon Lures for River Fishing also varies depending on what type of salmon you are targeting. I show you my favorite lures for king salmon as well as the best coho lures that I have experience using. I personally enjoy salmon fishing with spinners and that is one of my favorite Michigan Salmon lures. I will show you what I believe to be the best Mepps spinner for salmon as well as the colors that work best for me when picking river salmon fishing lures.
If you don’t know how to catch salmon in the river and would like to know how to catch salmon with lures this is the video for you. So my favorite Salmon lures are Mepps Black Fury spinners, Mepps Aglia spinners, Steelhead slammer spinners, storm thunder sticks, storm hot and tots and little cleo spoons. I also include some tips and tricks on how to use some of these lures as well as which colors I like for salmon fishing in rivers. I am not the worlds best salmon fisherman and I have not tried every lure imaginable for salmon but to the best of my knowledge these are the best lures for Salmon River Fishing and my personal favorite Salmon lures based on my experience chasing river run salmon. There are a hand full of other salmon fishing lures I have been wanting to try but haven't for various reasons. As I continue to try more salmon fishing lures I may gain a new set of favorite salmon lures and maybe I have yet to find the best lures for salmon river fishing.

I have been wanting to do more educational fishing videos for a while now but always seem to be too busy and lately Ive been super excited for the 2021 salmon run in Michigan. It keeps creeping closer so I spent the summer stocking up on my favorite salmon and steelhead lures so I would be prepared for the salmon run. About 2 weeks ago I began filming and editing this video and between then and now 2 epic salmon related things happened to get me even more pumped! Jason booked us a last minute trip to go vertical jigging for king salmon then the day before the trip happened somebody caught the new state record Michigan King Salmon! The rumor had been that they are big this year and this event confirmed that. The very next day we got to go tango with some king salmon ourselves! So now I am beyond hyped about Michigan salmon fishing and I have great expectations for the 2021 Michigan salmon run! You know I will be out there using all my favorite salmon lures that I showed you in this fishing video.
