Audi's 5 cylinders are awesome! I've always been annoyed they strayed away from them in favor of 4s or 6s. They're unique and sound awesome. Yet the TT RS is the only model in 20 years to have one, sad.

I did never really like the exterior of the car, but the interior and the handling looks very, very nice.

Super impressed with this ttrs, looks aggressive and now it's got the power to go with it

I just love inline 5-cylinder engines. they just sound so awesome and dont make you cry looking at the prices. audi likes to charge a little bit for their name but they pretty much nailed this car so they can.

*Awesome video Tim. This car reminds me of my dad's 1990 Audi Quattro Coupe 20v with the 5 cyl turbo haha Audi should put this engine in their S4 and S5, because I think it sounds much better than the V6 turbo. Dare I say it, it sounds almost like a R8 V10*

The Audi TT RS is in the same line of cars as the new MX-5 Miata, M2, Focus RS for me. 2K16 has been a great year for car enthusiasts. Really good affordable performance vehicles.

It would be interesting to see a head to head performance comparison between one of these and a 718 Cayman S.

I wish this engine was in the MK7 GOLF R !!!! I love my 2008 VW R 32 exhaust note those new vw's 4 cyl its just not the same..... what a beautiful freakin exhaust note

Question: Many of your peers view the car as somewhat soulless despite its power (same problems plaguing Audi namely in the form of understeer as a result of engine placement and weight distribution), almost as if it's *so* stable that it loses the fun of driving. You didn't seem to take that angle, which, myself being the type who is not a track day junkie, this car in all regards seems like an excellent candidate for my new commuter and get around town conveyance, though I do want to enjoy the ride when I'm getting about. Do you have any thoughts on the vehicle in terms of performance thrills that oppose the views of your compatriots or do you concur that it's a pretty dull ride? If you share this view, what alternatives would I consider (also looking at the C7 Corvette GS, Porsche 718 Cayman S despite the downgraded engine, and Mercedes A45 AMG)?

@shmee150 Have you consider switching your daily driver car, the Focus RS, with an Audi 5zylinder, so the upcoming RS3 (has also 400hp and the virtual cockpit)?
