I have never been in a helicopter or been on a plane in my 62 years of life. I probably will never go on either. I am glad that you conquered your fears. Thank you for going up for us and filming your experience.
My dad and I took a helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon. The feeling when we went over the canyon wall and went straight down is something I will never forget.
Did this same tour last summer...the pilot make everything at ease....i thought I would be scared but felt very calm and comfortable. He talk and joke with you the whole time, and its just a beautiful experience. I ended up going back 3 days in a row❤❤
Adam you did it.... you finally "Got to the Chopper" Arnold Schwarzenegger Haha. Looked like lots of fun. Amazing seeing the boundaries of the parks and how much room there really isn't
Way to go Adam. I'm 70 yrs old and went up in a tour helicopter back in the 80s at Branson Mo and was scared to death!!! It was a Magnum PI helicopter. Don't know if I'd do it again or not!! You were brave
During my military career, for most missions we flew on a helo to be tactically inserted at our destination. Even our pilots were special operations certified. I loved every second aboard the helo's. That looked like a ton of fun Adam, great video as always!!
Adam , I was 23 y.o. When I took my first helicopter flight over the erupting Kilauea volcano ! I lived on Oahu but took a plane flight to the Big Island specifically to see the eruption from the air. We flew all around the eruption zone but the sulphur smell was more frightening than the copter ride. You had windless conditions-try having the air smell of sulphur and knowing that , if the copter went down, you would crash into an active volcano area! I prefer hot air balloons ride-I took my first one in Albuquerque the hot air capital of America. If you ever get to Africa, take the hot air balloon safari flight over the Maasi Mara game preserve-truly a bucket list item! Seeing elephants and giraffes from hundreds of feet above them is mind-blowing!You’ll also see large herds of zebra, gazelles, gnu, etc.!Not being surrounded by metal and glass is a totally different experience when there is just air around you-awesome!
Great job on documenting the helicopter ride! Felt like I was sitting in there as well! It's really cool to see the theme parks in a different perspective, even different from looking at them in Google Maps satellite view. Magical theme parks don't look so magical from above! TBH is all looks like just another massive commercial / industrial complex. I've always contemplated about taking one of the choppa tours when I'm in the area, but I always wimp out. Seeing the Pilot that you had though would have probably changed my mind. He looked like a cool every day ordinary guy and not some button down type. For me, that settles my nerves quite a bit. Great job Adam! Thanks for the ride!
Helicopter rides tend to more smooth because the rotors take most of the turbulence, the rotors are flexible, where a plane, the wings take the turbulence and they aren’t as flexible, I love helicopters, even on a windy day it’s pretty smooth. Great Video Adam!
Daughter Speaking: Me and my Dad did the SAME Helicopter ride you did! We were there 2 years ago, where you were. Glad we made it too 😅 Only difference? Our Helicopter was Red, just like the cover of your and our Picture Book. Deja Vu + Nostalgia.
Adam you are one brave soul, as I have avoided helicopters, skydiving & motorcycles which I feel have extended my life expectancy but you are correct with the amount of commercial flights you’ve taken I can see you sayin “heck-it!” I’m just going to do it…. Awesome footage love this video!
Hmm... don't forget all the medical helicopters that save lives all over the world every single day! Nothing to worry about. Flown in many different models and had a blast... you are the only one holding yourself back.
"... I have avoided helicopters, skydiving & motorcycles which I feel have extended my life expectancy..." "The heart is deceitful above all things,..." -Ancient Hebrew Prophet (c600 BC) Your "feeling" have lead you astray. Unequivocally, it has neither extended or shortened your life. You are more likely to die on a boat.
Wow, I’ve seen a lot of Disney videos, but this was so unique, very cool to see everything like that! I’m actually surprised they can get so close to the parks like that, I thought it was restricted airspace directly over the parks but maybe they skirt the outside of it. Amazing to see!
I was born in 1969. Many times over the years I had thought about trying a helicopter tour, never convinced myself to do it. In 2019, while visiting Central Florida (mostly for Disney) my then 16 year old son convinced me to go with him. At 50 years old, we took two flights with Leading Edge helicopter tours. The first flight we took was their cheapest shortest flight, just to make sure I could handle it. Second tour was the full Disney parks tour, and I had an amazing time on both flights.
Trying to think, which of your buddies would be the most hysterical, in other words, freaking out, on a helicopter ride like that, and I am thinking Jacob the Carpetbagger would really deliver.
Wow!! Awesome video!! We are going to watch it again on the big TV. We really enjoyed it. Hope you do it again with a friend to keep the cost down. Loved it!!
The crazy thing is I've only been to Florida once and it was literally from hotel to Epcot and back. After watching so many of your videos I was able to point out things as you flew around. OH, there's Disney Springs! OH there is the giant orange that caught on fire! Lol
Dude! I'm so proud of you! I was gonna say this on one of your recent flying videos but I think watching your videos has really helped with my fear of heights and flying! I was even nervous of watching this at first but I figured if Adam can do it, I can watch it! So cool! Disney looked so teeny!
Thanks Adam! That was great! I paused the video to look at the views. So cool Star Wars Land! lol. I have been in a small helicopter too. It is pretty dang cool. Thanks for sharing.
I got a free helicopter ride once when I was driving Uber. Picked up a fella from a small airport near me. I took him into town then back and he took me up for about 10 minutes. So cool of him. He is a land developer who flies to all his projects. Time is money but he took time for me. So cool. I made a vlog of it on my channel. Then for my 50th I did a planned ride with my wife n kids.
I used to do pediatric transports in a helicopter. Really enjoyed it, when I wasn't caring for my patients. Especially around Christmas, seeing all the lights and decorations from above. 🚁
The wind sock tells pilots which direction the wind is blowing and can even help identify how fast the wind is blowing based on how "full" the sock is. Wind direction can help the pilot to decide which direction to come in to a landing.
Loved watching your helicopter adventure. I'm familiar with the area so it was fun for me to see 192 and the Disney Parks. If you need another passenger, let me know, I'm in Titusville, not far from you! Great video 👍👍
I’d love to see you take that footage and do commentary over everything that you flew over. I’m sure you could be the one doing the tour while the pilot flies.
Oh, that was a cool video. I’ve always wanted to ride in one but just can’t get the bravery up to do it. Now that I seen you do it. It doesn’t look too bad. Thank you for sharing.
Daily Woo, thank you for showing us the bike move on the hand on the clock. That was ace. In my mind's eye I saw Trapper John holding onto his hat as he ran towards the helicopter and then you said it reminded you of MASH! ⭐ I knew you'd love it and want to stay up longer. 🏰🏝🏨🏝🏩🚁 I'm glad I was right. Your pictures came out great. 👍
The have a restricted fly zone- nothing below 3000 feet or within 3 miles. That’s how the sky writer that is always writing “God is Love” and other religious comments over the parks all the time.
Adam next time you should check with Tim to see if he’d like to go with you ! I’m sure that would make a great video ! You guys are always fun when you make vids together ! 😁
As soon as you took off I felt faint. I’m an old timer and never even flew on a plane. I was always worried it would crash. Silly, but That’s how I feel, I’m glad you enjoyed it, another notch in your belt. ❤️🙏🏽🐿️
Riding in a helicopter is a cool experience! I did a helicopter tour of Mt. St. Helens in 86. The pilot took us down into the still active volcano, where the steam and gases caused us to oscillate as much as 50 to 75 feet, based on the altimeter. It was crazy, but fun afterwards. You can see so much detail from a helicopter, that you can't see from a moving plane.
I always wanted to do this 😬you got me to go on my first real rollercoaster at 57 and who knows maybe this is next. Love that you are realistic about how you were feeling before the flight and enjoyed seeing things from the sky .
EPIC first experience Adam! Before I watched I was thinking you’re going to love it and not want to come back down!! I loved flying in helicopters in the Army. If you ever need a literal wingman I’m down bro anytime!!
My day can’t start without Adam the Woo enjoying a helicopter ride, sipping piping hot caffeinated bliss. Looking down below for a glimpse of a stanchion while channeling Arnold and proclaiming, “get to the choppa!”
WOW Adam. So very proud of you getting over your fear of the heights. What an awesome experience and even more exciting that we were with you. Thank you again for sharing!!
Glad you enjoyed helicopter journey.Mine: Juneau Alaska,Mendenhall Glacier landing. Also seaplane to remote lodge with bears outside front door and digging for fish pieces in the outdoor cooking pit. Do bears s...in the woods ,? Yep ,right outside our front door !!!! Be safe, healthy and happy. Hi to the folks 😎
HEY ATW... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TO SEE THE DISNEY parks from above. When you are in the Parks, everything seems so "Larger than Life". Then, when you see WDW from the air, the whole thing wasn't as big as you are led to believe. Even though you paid for two tickets, I think your helicopter tour was worth every penny! I never, in a million years, thought you would take a helicopter tour! Now, since you are facing fears, have got to ride the Vomitron! Great episode today. I watched it about 6 times trying to see every detail of WDW.
I thoroughly enjoyed my helicopter ride on I-drive near icon park Adam. Felt weird as we went up at first but after that it was a breeze. Hats off to you for facing your fears. Next on the list for you is a hot air balloon 😉
This was some great video. Glad you finally got to cross this one off your list. About as close to this for me was a private hot air balloon ride down the Rio Grande in Albuquerque, NM, which was incredible! An experience I never thought I'd do in a million years, but so glad I did (was kind of a "heck it" moment)! A helicopter ride may be next. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. 🚁🌴
Thats so dope Adam! Glad you got to experience this! I too, have been wanting to take a helicopter tour here in southern california. I've never been on a helicopter either. I think the length of time you were up in the air is just the right amount for a first time ride. Thanks for taking us along the ride! 🤙 If you ever want to join a helicopter tour here in southern california and you need an extra person, hit me up!
Hey Adam! Now that you’ve done that…… if you ever go to the Grand Canyon my daughter is a helicopter pilot. She does utility work (like hauling water, geological work and fighting fires) and tours! It’s amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
Great video! I went from Long Beach to Catalina Island the 1st and only time I've been in a helicopter. Scary but mostly amazing. You should ask Michaflies to take you up when you're in cali next. I started watching him when he flew over disneyland during lockdown.
I used to work at Disney as a Jungle Cruise skipper, Haunted Mansion employee and Star tours employee. This is the first time I have seen those areas from the air. Great job!!!
Awesome! I hopped all over the place in choppers while in the military. This seemed much more relaxed. 😀 Glad you got to experience it! Great vid, ATW! Hope you have a wonderful day! Air Assault!
Crazy enough I was down there at this same time we thought about doing it over the week we were there and never did. We drove by it pretty much everyday. Glad you had a great time.
