Jennifer Tilly is going to be in it?!?!! Dude I am so hyped for this chapter, between the fun looking gameplay, funny and vulgar dialogue, and the original voice actors, they absolutely nailed what makes Child's Play great!
At first Killer POV looked like Chucky is just hovering there and magically holding the survivor but ok afterwards I understood, could still be kinda more visible on first look imo
At first I thought this was a joke, then the trailer came out and just thinking about his little legs running a marathon around any dbd map made a laugh.
I just love how much Chucky shit talks. It's just so perfect for him and I'm so glad they got Brad to do the voice. Also a little detail about the pick up I love is that the Chucky doll takes a swipe at either the survivor or Charles during the animation.
@@IveBeenWithBrumaNah that ain't gonna happen- they've had plenty of swearing in the game even before Chucky showed up, they leaned into it heavily with Nicholas Cage.

@@DivineG777Jason has problems with licenses… We don’t have anything for him because of this. The only game that we had the devs couldn’t fix bugs, etc because of license problems. It’s a big thing, unfortunately
@@DivineG777it probably won’t happen dude, they had to stop developing the game they already made for him because of the lawsuit which I believe they lost (don’t quote me tho). It sucks but there isn’t anything the devs can do but hope. At least be grateful we got another horror icon I honestly didn’t see this one coming at all
I just love how the mori starts with a hammer getting thrown at the survivor from off screen, it's so oddly comical. Also, sometimes responding to hooking someone with a really chill "How's it hangin?"
Best chapter EVER! I've been heralding Chucky's arrival since Twins released, and today I was vindicated, and they absolutely NAILED it, feels amazing.
I never thought Chucky would be in DBD just because he’s so short, but seeing the work around that Behaviour made to counteract it is honestly incredible, can’t wait to get him on the 28th
The kick in the ribs at the end of the mori and flipping off the nothingness at the end screen are so good. Really fun looking killer to play as, but probably an absolute nightmare to go against.
It’s funny how nick cage and chucky both can communicate in game with voice lines not directly but it’s still funny as hell too see him running away from him awesome gameplay !
I have a feeling that chuckie is going to make shack less safe, he’s so short and has an undetectable power that you’ll have to very careful and aware of how you’re looping to keep track of him
I've been playing this game for almost 6 years, and I never expected we'd reach the point where Chucky would be kicking Nick Cage in the ribs and calling him a betwetter. What a time to be alive.
6:34 that's sick af They did this character JUSTICE. The Charles ghost looks like him from the first movie, Brad does his voice, and his mori is a nod to weapons he's used in the movies. The fact Tiffany will be a skin that Jennifer Tilly voices, good lord. I'm excited af for this.
Chucky's Slice & Dice is a lot like a combo of Wesker, Pig, and Hillbilly's charges: -You vault windows and pallets if your attack collides with one -You break stealth for a fast, rushing attack -You can't stop if you overshoot the charge
I mained Pinhead day one just because of his voice lines. The ability to trash talk the survivors in-game is half the fun for me. Chucky is the literal definition of that XD Chucky is definitely going to be my new main until Springtrap is added :)
@meiyeumi I'm actually really hopeful on him being the next killer to be added. Now that the movie finally dropped and also it being a relative success, it's the absolute best for a fnaf chapter!
@@meiyeumi Yeah. It's impossible that pyramid head come to the game. It's impossible for Nemesis to come in the game. It's impossible to have onryo in the game. It's impossible to have wesker in the game. I will think about people like you the day they will had FNAF in the game ;)

I can see Chucky being able to use an ultimate lethality build with Make your choice, Friends till the end, Starstruck and BBQ. Pretty much the obsession will always be right screwed.
Hey Otz! Really need to mention this for future DBD Chucky plays, but you can actually chain window scampers together in your power to cross the entire map! I've done it once on Lary's and the map mobility was actually nuts!
This has convinced me that they need to make REAL Freddy. Robert Englund has said he doesn't want to put on all the make-up and do the action scenes, but he might be open to being the voice of Freddy, one last time. Doesn't seem like anyone is doing anything with the license, so maybe they'd be open to getting some money to pimp it out to BHVR. The company and game both have a much better reputation than they did when they originally had to settle for the rights to Diet-Freddy. I need a Freddy that shit-talks me during chase, in that style that only one man can pull off...he needs to be able to grind his blades on things to make that signature sound...we need the actual Nightmare on Elm Street music.
I think the only nerf he would need is some sort of slowdown or small 1 second stun after missing his charge. His ability to recover IMMEDIATELY after and then swing is insane cause he still gets extra movement at the end with that lunge. I think reaction times on the survivors part will adjust once everyone has faced him enough times, but he's likely going to 4k all the time for the first week or so if he's released as is
I also hope after looking at him. Blight gets nerfed down to 110 to match Chucky's speed. Never made sense for him to be full speed, and this paragraph helps cement that.
Hes a 110 killer like huntress his recovery is the same as her hitting a hatchet at close range then m1 effectively turning it into a fast double hit if youre not careful. If they nerf his charge attack they would need to make him 115% to compensate
@@KingRamenIII I don't think so for one reason. Not 100% sure yet, but it looks like Chucky's hitbox is much smaller than other killers, which makes looping at 110% MUCH easier as the main benefit from looping for survivors is essentially gone. I don't think survivors can get around a loop tighter than Chucky which makes his regular M1 chase a lot scarier to loop. In straight lines, I guess he's slower than other killers but then you can just use his power.
@@TheGameReview217 his power has a very long cooldown tho. Its not like huntress or trickster where they have their m2s readily available at all times more or less. Also his hitbox is the same as victors i think hes just alot slower.
nope. i was on the ptb for hours playing survivor and i still looped him like with any other killer. it’s just a bad idea to loop at really high loops like on cold wind
@@carloareaserthey made that little doll because Chucky is an anticipated chapter? Also I doubt it was easy to make. The dialogue, the models, the footstep visualisation, the third person mechanic?? These are very new things which must’ve taken a long time to iron out. You know nothing about game development, don’t play the fucking game if you don’t like it?
i NEVER thought id get to see Chucky in DBD- and the fact they got brad dourif!? its actually insane.... i really really hope we one day get a robert englund freddy skin- it would be a DREAM
I think we'll see something similar with Xenomorph in regards to Chucky's Slice n Dice - the devs will probably make the miss cooldown a bit longer and/or slow Chucky down afterwards.
it feels like no one is talking about the moment at 6:36 that was just mind boggling, it was an example of creative use of power, a mind game and quick thinking
This killer looks like a blast to play and play against, I think they nailed it. I feel like the strong negative opinions about his height/3rd person I feel like is a bit of an overreaction and that with time people will get used to it and it won't be a much of an issue. I hope the developers aren't too trigger happy about nerfing him because at first glance he seems to be in a good state rn and really fun Save the Best for Last might actually be interesting with this killer. The idea is to enter his power and then hit a survivor with a basic attack, and with STBFL (and the addon that reduces the power duration penalty from basic attacks) to recover from the attack before your power ends, to then follow up with a Slice n Dice attack in the same use of his power for a very fast followup (with the yellow range addon in this video to make sure you can catch up). And it isn't the most convinient, but he does have a Special Attack to hit the obsession with, or a perk to expose the obsession to lose less stacks. It could be a fun combo maybe! (Although I haven't seen anyone use that addon yet, so it might be possible with just the addon without STBFL)
My 2 cents, If they wanted to keep the first person point of view,they could have an add on that makes it first person but increase his speed by 50-200%. That be super fun. He be short, but he be fast to play around pallets.
The issue is things like grass are gonna make it next to impossible to see. It was a problem for Blight, it’d be way worse for Chucky. Edit: Nevermind, just realized VIctor exists. A first-person add-on sounds like fun!
Using alive and dice to chain into a scamper through vaults and under pallets is actually really good to do because when you do it resents the slice and dice charge duration. So if a survivor is running through pallets use your power early because if you time it right you can get nearly 2x the duration and it’s infinite chainable so could potentially keep slice and dice going for a long, long time
As someone who is a HUGE chucky fan and someone who’s been playing dbd since 2018, this is one killer I’ve always wanted in. And then with the developers saying that he couldn’t be in (at the time) because of limitations. I got so sad… then they announced him and y’all don’t know how happy I was. I almost had a happy tear. Just because this is something that’s I’ve been wanting! Now most of the iconic killers are in the game!
ohhhhh i am so excited for this chapter. i think this is the most excited ive been for a chapter in a while. I cant wait for the Tiffany skin and getting to hear Jennifer screaming as she chases down survivors.
Already looking good, but we will see after the PTB. I think the only good perk he has is the Battery one, but I need to experiment more with perks. I love the voice acting for him, and the Mori as always is awesome.
The obsession one is kinda strong ngl especially on killers who can snowball fast like imagine hooking a survivor as wraith then flying over to the obsession and downing them quick and just keep chaining it. I can see that perk being really strong
This is amazing, I'm not even a huge fan of the Chucky franchise, but the fact they got the original VA to voice him in this and not a sound-alike is so appealing to me
Idk why I realized this on this video.. but knight’s ability where he travels to drop a knight is probably what they were gonna make Jason’s ability (had they obtained permissions and wasn’t complicated) but instead of dropping an ally, it would be himself like in the Jason online game
This killer remind us that Horror can be so much fun 😂 he was a person hidding from the police and ended up under some voodoo spell , that's how i remember, gotta watch it again hahaha ❤️
If you do need to target the spirit, then they should show the outline when you shine the light on it. That way you have some frame of reference and it would be cool to see the ghost.
The fact that we live in day and age where chucky can hit Nicholas Cage with a baseball bat, kick him and call him a bed wetter in the same videogame is fucking mental.
Chucky has unique interactions when entering a lobby with either Nic Cage or Ash. He'll say "Wait a minute... I know that guy!", which is the first time a licensed character has had interaction with a previous one. Also, the lore is that Chucky is the result of serial murderer, Charles Lee Ray, using voodoo to transfer his soul into a doll to cheat death. The ghost that appears when carrying survivors is Charles' original body. His mori is also a reference to a few key moments from the movies. The hammer he throws is how he got his first kill, tossing a hammer at a woman and causing her to stagger out a fifth story window. The bat is a reference to him attacking the detective who killed his original body, and the ruler is from the second movie where he used a ruler to kill a teacher. Overall, I'm loving how much love went into this chapter, and how much BHVR was allowed to do with Chucky in general, it's great.
BHVR can really droo the ball sometimes but wow.... this chapter is absolute flames. I'm 100% a survivor main but Chucky is going to make me start playing Killer.
People have been talking about Chucky for ages but I never thought they could pull it off. This is absolutely incredible though, and makes me wonder if they’d been talking about this since Twins and Victor was a sort of test.
