Okay, the huge time gap between "character creation" and "WoW begins" is hilarious...that's how I make characters too 😂 If we start a game together, my husband hits "randomize" on character creation like 3x and hits Play, then he gets up and goes AFK for 30min while I pick my eyebrow shape and tweak hair and skin hexes...sorry hun 🤣

You should play in the Warmane server. I am not promoting it. It is just great for an old school WoTLK experience.

Worrying about endgame meta at this point is so ridiculous. Monk is a perfectly good and strong class to play while leveling, and he should be trying out all the classes anyway at his own pace.

That's the PvE tryhards for you. Actually thinking DPS can be dead. Not a single DPS can be dead ever in PvE because your enemies will always lose to you because they're brainless mobs. PvP on the other hand is the gameplaqy aspect where balance actually matters because if a class is stronger than yours you can't win doesn't matter how good you are. Those PvE tryhards are the reason PvP is unbalanced af because they think because your class isn't top DPS 100% of the time that it's broken and cry for buffs. People need to L2P more than ever.

While I agree, if the streamer truly wanted a normal experience for their first time, they could simply record their first plays and put it up as a video. But, they are looking for a streamer experience since that's what they chose to do. I don't know how long you can do a delay for on stream, but a larger delay would help with this as well, still people will find him though. Or, they could stream it and not show people which server considering their is still 100 or so servers in WoW still. But again, I do agree, just pointing out their are options the streamer could take to have a more normal experience while still providing those first experiences to their community.

I loved dungeons when I played. Everyone loves gear upgrades. So many people know so much of the game. They rush through them so fast. It's not bad as a dps, but trying to be a tank or healer, people get upset super fast. Wasn't too bad until I started to get near end game. Sadly, I have never ran any end game content (raids). Gives me too much anxiety being the "idiot". Plus, I have a horrible memory anymore. Watching this makes me want to play WoW again though. I'd have to clean house some because I was at my account limit for characters (alt-aholic). Haha. Had a problem with choosing a "main".

Great to see a retail player not lying to himself that WoW wasn't dying before the Classic launch. As a Classic player though I'm not sure if it's the best experience for new players. Of course back in the day it was the default start but you were really dependant on people explaining stuff to you as a new player. I think people should do it like this: IF you played Warcraft 3 (and optionally 1 and 2) start with Classic 100%. You'll be noticing a lot of places and NPCs and it's a massively improved experience that you simply can't have anymore in retail because the places got changed and characters got killed off. Nothing beats the look on people's faces when they enter Lordaeron's throne room for the first time after having seen the cinematic with Arthas taking place in there (and hearing the echo of the conversation) or when they meet the different race leaders from Warcraft 3 like Malfurion, Tyrande, Thrall, Vol'jin and Cairne. Or when they find the graves of Grom and Uther - all things you don't know about if you haven't played Warcraft or read the books. If you haven't consumed anything about Warcraft before (not played WC1-3, haven't read any books and just watched some cinematics) you should start with retail because it's the noob version of WoW and it explains everything way better than Classic does. Even though it is more complex in the long run it's way easier to grasp the basics as in Classic. Also it's infinitely easier because you get gold and everything thrown after you. He already got basically 2 or 3 gold after the starting zone. Back in the day you could say you're rich when you had 1g with level 20 lol. The starting zone gave you a couple of silver maximum.

Retail is way easier for new players to understand. Classic has less systems but also the classes are very bare bones and the class mechanics and everything else are harder to understand as in retail. So no, he should only start with Classic if he has played Warcraft 3 beforehand.

@@Toastybees in order to figure out what you want to play you need information. which you couldnt get as the class is locked 10lvl. giving information on that is a good thing, not a bad thing. go cry on someone elses comment that actually is pointless. besides demon hunter would be the ideal choice if you want a different experience from a mage, since its so spammy and mobile playstyle.

Wow you guys are toxic. You are so fast to attack and assume. I do not main DH, I actually main Prot Pal. DH is factually preferred over monk, look at the endgame numbers of players of both. Its no question. It is a faster, simpler, more kinetic rotation with fewer resources to manage.
