After watching the on the hwy sound segment like 6 min in, they give you a almost crisp snapping sound, When I got my GTO I was 17 and sat in the garage in it with it backed in tight and listened to her Cackle!!!!!!!!!!! Made me EXCITED!!!!
Working real hard to make my truck look real Similar to yours man love that truck brother!! Always enjoy watching videos and footage of OBS’s they have best looking body styles ever made!!!
My dad has turbo tubes in his 96 and it’s the same way, under 2k it’s quite but you can still hear it, but over 2k it gets louder. And it’s about as quite going down the highway as stock. They go out the sides to with 2.5 pipe all the way and no kats
Those are resonators they help pull the exhaust gases out by creating an area of low pressure. They basically help a straight pipe perform better since they are in a way pushing the gases out.
Yep, Glasspacks of some brand. Bullets I hear. I had a set of them on my 67 GTO !! Sound good on about any v8 You get to 3500-4000 rpm and hold on Brother!!!
Race bullet mufflers. They have that loud snappy sound vs a glasspacks' more poppy sound. I have a glasspack on my '94 and it'll be replaced very soon.
I know this is a older video, but them mufflers are Lawson Industries incinerator or however you spell it, i have the exact one on my 5.4 expedition just a single but still. Good sounds not loud definitely not quiet, but good solid deal.
Pretty clean truck man! But the only thing im not a fan of is the "CALI squat" And im from California! I got lucky and found a immaculant white 97 under 100k miles. Ive upgraded alot of things and installed a rough country lift now its sitting with mickey tompson rims and 33" toyo m/t's. Your truck reminds me alot like mine except mine sits level lol
Even with the cats off your exhaust should not stink. You should still have your o2 sensors installed in your exhaust even without the cats. If you're exhaust stinks you need a tune-up.
You planning on getting lift keys for the obs? You could get 3-4” more out of that lift. They’re $30-$70 ($30-eBay. $70- rough country.) Then you can make a video of them about how high you can get with keys maxed out for a video or two and then turn it down some
those are bullet mufflers or glasspacks, had them on every truck I've ever had. I'm thinking its the tips that make it sound deeper, a smaller tip would have a higher tone. I've had all the different setups growing up.
Basically same setup I have on my 2000 Ram 1500 Sport! Those look like the mufflers I’m running, same size, and all! My mufflers are, “DynoMax Racebullet” they even sound a lot alike! Check my videos/channel out there is a few good exhaust clips!
Those look like the 2.5x4x16.5 dynomax bullets. If you want a more deeper sound I suttge 3x4x24 bullets with 3” tail pipes. Also the reasoning for your truck being so smelly at idle is cause it’s getting to much fuel. Needs to be tuned for not having cats.
Unless it was swapped, it should be an auto. When they game out with the direct injection on those 350 engines the didn’t put manuals in there 4x4 extended cabs stock.
Not sure what mufflers those are but they ARE a chambered muffler and not a glass pack style muffler. You can see where the internal baffles are welded to the case. I have the same exhaust setup but with Mac Flowpath mufflers. Sounds like angels singing 😂😆
