That Banelash is the must stunning, magnificient and absolutely most beautiful painted and converted model ever. If, i had that thing in my hand I would put it on my hat and walk around it in public so even more people would see it. Bravo, fingers crossed so it wins you the golden daemon.
Frankly, they are all wonderful. With the crazy high levels reached at GD these days, it’s impossible to predict any result, but you are right to be happy and proud of what you did

It is because he is realistic. He is an amazing Painter, but some of the people entering, are Out of this world painters. They have an understanding of light, shadow, colour, composition etc. that very, very few people have, and he knows this. That said, These minies are wonderful and on a very high level. And the ogroids and the aos monster could at least win bronze🖖🏻
My favorite part of Adepticon is all my favorite RU-vidrs putting up their cool pieces for me to see. Good luck, Vince, they look fantastic! Also, going maximum Skink / full Skink mode should definitely be added to the mini painting lexicon.
If I am ever able to paint anything this well I would be greatly surprised and estatic. Awesome as always, love the art and love the video tutorials. Strive on young squire.
Vince, thank you so much for being the poster child of a what a hobby ambassador and mentor should be. You have been a tremendous help to me in starting the hobby. Not only in the many technical aspects, but also in helping me level my expectations and focus on my own growth. Excited to see where these gorgeous pieces land next month!
As I’m finally starting my own painting journey, I truly appreciate that even with pieces of this level you always stress that you’re painting firstly for yourself. Of all the skills I hope to take from your content, it is that mindset that I feel may be the most important.
The number of entries you put in to GD is truly amazing. Even with pulling something out of storage and updating it, it’s a lot of entries and a lot of work. I hope you got something for it. But ultimately enjoyed the experience. I would love to get to adepticon next year.

Great work! In the pics, I thought the magenta on the ogroid unit (e.g. shoulder armour) almost looks like velvet. That would be a neat look for you to break down in a future video. Purple hope looks very painterly. I love when a mini looks like it might be part of a classic fantasy illustration. Amazing. If I could offer a suggestion: I think with the knights and titans, something that often gets lost is the scale. I don't know how to solve that, but maybe there are techniques from scale modelling that would help sell the "this thing is a giant" experience. Of course, maybe it's just a limitation of the photography/RU-vid, and you've already solved this. 😀
So to continue from my first video I left messages about. Your best effort is still 4 out of 10 chance to place. So you knew you were not going to win. It was a long shot. I can not imagine what did place! Congrats on this quality you have mastered. Love it!

"Sam Lenz style of painting" 😍😍😍 I love his painting style and I find it very liberating. I think things like wet blending or painting on the model are techniques that are used less now a days , with new paints, materials, techniques, etc.
Your AoS Unit and 40k Vehicle entries are my favorites out of the bunch, I love the gradient you did on the purple/pink parts and the symbols and patterns you made.
Incredible miniatures, obviously---best of luck with the competition! But I always appreciate your reminders about what I will call "perspective." The idea of the "prize" being the journey and the end result miniature that is uniquely one's own creation, and the reminders to be proud of our creations and the learning journey that went into them is so important, not only when taking a piece to competition, but when faced with the absolutely mind-boggling array of incredible painters out there on the Interweb. You have a unique knack among content producers of your caliber for demonstrating knock-out techniques in a clear and straightforward way, but always with a healthy slice of humility. I think the greatest words of wisdom in this video are " The miniture you make, the piece of art you craft, that is the prize. Regardless of the little plastic trophy you get" What an amazing way of looking at competitions. I hope more people take away these words of wisdom Vince. the wristguard on the purple hulk is stunning, and the reflectivity on the manacles must be impressive as well, if it even comes across in the photos like this
I love everything, except for the DoK gladiator and the Imperial Fist guy. Not because if anything you did, but more so that i'm just fan of the sculpts. That being said, your like 'forte' has got to be the larger pieces with armor plates. The AoS monsters and the titan/knight models are absolutely stellar beyond comparison. That flaming titan is one of my favorites, barring the Whirlwind's Edge army.

I listen to the Wednesday show every week. After hearing a lot of the comments about painting Golden demon entries and just being done with them, i am happy to hear you are pleased with the work. While winning a trophy and having your work recognized among so many other great works is good. i think saying i am proud of what i've done is still the best feeling to have when you look at a finished piece. Tremendous work as always Vince and hope you had a good time at adepticon.

Banelash was hands down my fave piece in the case this weekend. It was the single piece that convinced me to dive even harder into painting this coming year and hopefully enter a GD piece myself next year
Great job on all of em! Regarding the "Great Purple Hope", I especially love its open hand's fingers becoming a darker tone down from the knuckles as they recede in space and leaving the thumb and forefinger in light. It's something I first noticed in Mucha's sketches of hands and it adds so much depth!
My guage is DOES IT TRICK THE EYE. I like them too look like a badass 2d image even though there 3d your mind is like wait where is the break in the illusion and its hard to find plus when you squint at all its an amazing effect like the page of a comic book this is like pop out to me tip top stuff I rarely see even among winners very nice the one that I think you liked the most is what I'm.talking about. I really enjoy that it exists thanks Vince expanding my world 1 mini at a time just throwing stuff at the wall till something sticks and I love this one vince
Theridons with the swords and shields look so much better than with the big 2 handers. Having that extra flat surface in the shields and a more open pose as their hands can go in different directions in a way 2 handers can't. An excellent choice.
Whenever I try to achieve "display level" of my works it is still an ABYSS of difference to level of grandmasters like Vince. Your miniatures are on so highest possible level, that I feel both extremely upset that I never achieve that heights AND extremely motivated to try to catch up. Your minis are always a pleasure to watch, especially knowing how much work you dedicate into it.

Beautiful work and good luck! I'm entering my first GD at Warhammer fest next month and I'm so excited! Can't wait to meet some familiar faces and see my work in the cabinets. Even if I don't win anything, I'm proud of the work I've done and I'll get a fun trip to the UK out of it. I pushed myself to a level of painting I didn't think I was capable of and learned so much from the experience over the past 6 months. That alone is a victory to me.
