The fact that they got natsu’s voice actor to play the pink haired kid with a scarf in an episode full off fire😂👌🏾

Note: the Random Dimming is an anti-epilepsy measure japanese animation imposed after mass complaints following the infamous porygon episode in Pokemon. Hawks is undoubtedly the MVP of this fight/episode - he evacuated 76 people out of the building all at once and in an instant - he fought the little white Nomus almost on his own while keeping civilians away from them - he was the only one that always understood and believed in Endeavour, no matter what - he gave Endeavour the speed boost he needed with his feathers while being low on them - (this one goes unnoticed often) he notices from far away Endeavour forming an arrow up with his fire on his right shoulder, immediately understands and takes him up in the sky Sure everything about Endeavour‘s start was great but without hawks this fight could’ve gone completely different, truly the best wingman

The reason why Endeavor hated that school motto is because All Might embodied that motto. He is annoyed that the very person that he wanted to surpass just push his limits and *"Go Beyond Plus Ultra!"* , both making it harder to catch up to All Might and further increases the distance between them.

“I’m thankful for the pain, it’s keeping me conscious” HOLY SHIT that is the most badass line in all of this anime

Seeing Rana cry throughout this episode I kinda can’t wait for a few future scenes to be animated, especially the current arc which is shaping to be the absolute best so far and has been phenomenal from the start ^^

I love when Endevor got hit in the face all of the norimes just froze and was like "Omfg he's dead...."

Todoroki's little flares from his fire quark is a nice way to show his concern about his father even tho we know he hates him, he may not like him but he doesn't want to see anything bad happened to the guy

When Hawks added his speed to Endeavor and encourages him as "Number One" I felt that!

Endeavor: I’m overheating Me: oh, that means he should be on the defensive and conserve his streng..... Endeavor: **becomes the fvcking sun**

14:32 - He signals to Hawk not with speech, but by making his shoulder-flame into an upward-pointing arrow.

This by no means excuses what Endeavor did to his family, but I’d be lying to myself if I said I wouldn’t give him a chance to fix things. He clearly wants to be the hero that people can depend on, but also doesn’t want to be a carbon copy of All Might. For that, he has my respect. Does this amend what he did in the past immediately? No. The scars he inflicted on his loved ones will never be fully healed. It will take time for them to trust him again, and Endeavor understands that. He is willing to give them the time they need. Can he try to amend for his actions? Absolutely. He can’t fix what he did in the past. But who says bad guys can’t change? I personally look forward to his development in the future.

I've always said that this was the best season finale out of every season, it's just so unexpected and really shows how much endeavour wants to change and show everyone he deserves to be #1.

The episode is dimmed because it's a law or more like a guideline in Japan. There was a time where animes caused nationwide epileptic seizures on many kids. I believe it was a Pokemon episode where Pikachu went wild and some other episodes. So the animation studios can't go over a certain limit or at least some scenes need to be dimmed especially scenes in animes with airing time reserved for kids. Some effects can't take all the screen and be flashed repeatedly without dimming the light .Specially during fight scenes

Patrick Seitz (Endeavor) and Zeno Robinson's (Hawks) work in this chapter was AMAZING... I LOVED IT! The post credit scene gives you the hype for season five.... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

This was the episode I was waiting so bad for you guys to react. The scene that really got me was where every other hero was cheering and losing it for All Might, but Endeavor was the only one trying by any means to reach the number one hero. And no one but one little kid saw that. Endeavor was a beast in this one. He knew that he was not, and never will be as big as All Might, but he sure as hell made people know that he is still there, giving his all. Symbol of Peace might be no more, but here stands the Flame of Hope.

This seasons had 3 arcs by the way. Overhaul, Festival Arc and Pro Hero Arc. Obviously the third one has some chapter left but this was practically all of it.

I lost my sh-t when that little flame bubbled out of Endeavors eye on TV. And then the end "I always hated the school motto.. PLUS ULTRA! PROMINENCE BURN!"

One of the very few episodes of anime that I can say made me cry hysterically....I know it’s just anime but damn this episode was so powerful in the context of the story the moment where you see Endeavour still standing with his fist in the air gives me chills every time I rewatch

Nice paralel with Endeavor becoming the new symbol of peace was when he lost his eye, but his remaining eye suddenly glow bright blue. Just like All Might whenever he gets serious! With All Might there was always this focus on his face and his single glowing eye and now that Endeavor embraced his role, he shared that moment too!

Huh, the fear of heights discussion was actually really interesting to me. Evolutionary psychology teaches us that some of our fears are innate, like spiders, snakes, and, yeah, heights (they can vary in severity between people and be "unlearned", but they are innate). Presumably, the genes that make us afraid of heights would be distinct from the genes that give Hawks his quirk. Unless he'd somehow been born without a fear of heights, he should at least have initially been afraid to fly too high with his quirk.

Got to love the title for this episode. And the symbolism with fire for Endeavor specially at the end were Hawks give him his wings and he become a Phoenix reborn from ashes as he is trying to become a better person/father.

Jesus christ. This is how you end a season. This is how you indroduce the new #1. This is how you build hype for the next season. I rarely get goosebumps from anime these days but this episode gave me it twice and it was one of the very few episodes ive ever rewatched

From 14:16 of the full episode Endeavor’s body was paralyzed through shear exhaustion. This is where Endeavor TRULY makes a statement in his seat as #1 hero. Without the use of his body endeavor has to solely rely on his quirk to propel him, later he is assisted by Hawks to reposition him and speed him up with feathers. When given the proper push endeavors body was still exhausted, hence why the punch wasn’t strong enough to blow his head off. Endeavor, still paralyzed, asks Hawks for one final favor and it is to use what’s left of his feathers to shoot him as high as possible into the sky. It is now deep minutes into the episode and Endeavor is STILL paralyzed…with the capability to go beyond plus ultra, endeavor, again uses NOTHING but his raw quirk to burn the nomu into ash….it is now 19:43 of the episode, and because the people meant so much to Endeavor he finally had enough strength to stand and lift his fist half way up so that no one would be afraid anymore…..That is our #1 hero!

Best episode of the show by far. It has everything that makes MHA good all compacted into 23 minutes. And funny enough it barely involved any of the main characters. This fuckin show man.

I just wanna say, because a lot of people say Endeavors change is too sudden, that the traumatic stuff that happened to Shoto, at least what we know of, happened like 8 years ago in the series or something. We didn't follow Endeavors private life. The change most likely happened gradually over 8 long years of confronting himself, and right now is just the breakpoint for him.

The creators do a great job of getting you invested in characters and through their growth they change your feelings about them. I didn't like Mirio at first but was like OMG during the Le Million episode and just after. I didnt like Endeavor but after this episode how can you not like him even if it is just a little bit?

Todoroki's mom was forced into an arranged marriage she didn't want to have. Forced to have children until the "perfect" child was born. Mentally, physically, and emotionally abused while her husband neglected his family and abused her child. Imagine being forced into a marriage merely to breed children. Yeah, I can see why she snapped. It is already hard enough living with someone who is stubborn, angry, controlling, let alone everything else. Yes, she burned her child and that is beyond horrible. However, let's not understate how she got to that point. The show clearly indicates that her mental health was the cause of her burning Todoroki. She was not at all in her right mind. It doesn't mean endeavor cannot change or redeem himself, and everyone loves a good redemption arc. But he has a long road ahead of him.

one thing I always say when I see the reaction of the endeavor fight is that he really is the strongest superhero alive ... because if you think All Might is strong by a power cultivated for years but the endeavor is strong simply because train a lot..just think about it to see how strong he is.no wonder why he is number 1

I really don't understand people who say that the dub to this Anime (particularly in this episode) has little emotion behind the voice acting. The English voice actor for Endeavor really nailed it in this scene, especially when he says Plus Ultra Prominence Burn. Whether or not you feel the original Japanese voice acting has more emotion is one thing, but to say that the dub has barely any emotion to it is another. Just my opinion anyway.
