I totally get the appeal behind Salt Bae's restaurants, but I just feel icky looking at how high the prices are for some items. I know it's about the experience, and the food is high quality, but it just isn't for me. Props to the server, tho. It would have been real easy give you grief for bringing your own gold leaf. Having a laugh about it is honestly the last thing I'd expect lmao

Gotta say you changed my perspective on Salt Bae. Always thought the restaurants were overpriced junk but seeing it as this good food and goofy show restaurant suddenly clicked for me.

It's a shame that this doesn't have more views, having only heard and seen videos of Salt Bae's restaurants, I got the impression that the only meat they serve is covered in tasteless gold and that every item is at least $800, I had no idea that you could have a reasonably priced, well made dinner until I saw your unbiased review. I still think Salt Bae is overrated and I'm not a fan of him personally, but I thank you for actually being honest and fair. You knew the gold gimmick was ridiculous but you were still upfront that the meals were both tasty and entertaining and all of them for less than half of a single gold tomahawk 😅 I never thought I would actually contemplate visiting an SB restaurant but you pulled it off.

It looks like the food was great and you and the staff had a fun time, which seems to be the entire point of his restaurants. And that price for the food and experience you got was actually pretty reasonable.

I went to Salt Bae’s place in Miami and the food was definitely good. I just thought overall it was a really cynical cash grab trying to take advantage of people who want to get instagram likes for food pics. Like, $1300 for a “gold-covered” steak is an insult. I’ve paid $1300 for my wife and I both to eat at a 3 Michelin star restaurant and this dude wants that for a foil-covered ribeye? FOH

Not changing my mind. Gordon makes great food, I don't love everything he does. But his place in Atlantic city is great. Best food I've ever had and I dont think I'll spend more then that on food. My whole meal came to about 80 dollars. Salt dude still seems like a gimmick you over pay for.

People hate it because one: the guy is a butcher not a chef, and doesn't do anything special besides golding the meat, I cook better steak than him.. Two: he pays employees vastly low. This place is known for selling thousand dollar steaks but cant pay their staff? This isn't an Applebees, quit simping for the culture. And if Salt Bae is where you went in the DFW metroplex for steak I honestly question whether you have become another culinary hack. Lame.
