Personally I think these guys are living in total denial, which is obviously re-enforced by religion, but i take issue with the complaints that this show portrays gay people as "unnatural". On the contrary, pretending to be straight when one is not is what is unnatural, and explains why its worthy of a reality TV show.
I think what's important is they acknowledge that they are attached to men, accept it, but still CHOOSE that they want a traditional life style. It's not anti gay or anything like that. It just shows that if you want to live a certain way you can. And they seem happy. At the end of the day it's not sex that makes a relationship it's trust. It seems they have that.
They guy literally said that he likes donuts but he decides not to eat them because it's not healthy, and that's how being gay is - according to him. Their message is anti gay and unhealthy. It's not just them quietly living their life, they spread harmful messages.
I feel horrible that the older gay guys that are married on the show lured the VERY young couple onto it. They had no idea what they were in for or what they were doing.

Who says you have to be attracted to the person you're married too? I'm attracted to my husband but that wasn't the number 1 priority for me. For some people it's not important at all. I'm attracted to clean shaven men, if I marry a man with a beard because I think he's wonderful and perfect for me-- am I not being true to myself?! Sounds like consenting people went into these relationships knowing that physical attraction wasn't something that was going to necessarily be there in their relationship and were okay with it. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

I don't like that gay men choose to marry women because that's what their religion believes, but I'm not a gay man marrying a women so it's none of my business. Why is everybody telling everybody else what to do. I don't think you should tell gay people to marry the opposite gender, but the same principle has to apply the other way. If that's what they want to do, let them live their lives.
Bisexual/pansexual is a thing. Do they refuse to identify that at all? It’s a sit here and deny your feelings like that everybody involved is going to be miserable.

Exactly how I feel. Everyone is different and tlc literally stands for true life channel. People are showing their lives and how they choose to live wether it’s right or wrong it’s real. I feel like that’s what reality tv is supposed to be. we aren’t going to agree or disagree with everything we are just watching for entertainment
A couple of things made me role my eyes and bugged the crap out of me!, 1 they go to stores or to the basketball courts and gawk at men and rate them and I wonder how they'd feel if their wives were doing the exact same thing? 2 Jeff broke his marriage commitment by having two guys spend the night. I'd like to know what really happened? Did she catch them, what were they doing exactly, and why would he want to go on a camping trip with 2 guys he doesn't really know unless he's planning something he shouldn't do in the first place? Sounds very shady to me! I'd tighten that leash really quick!
I understand why people are against this show but I think that a good reality tv show talks about different lifestyles and this show is trying to show people a different type of lifestyle.
I believe strongly that being gay is just as valid as any other sexual orientation (defiantly ain't straight myself) but we shouldn't stop people from sharing their stories about their lives. We can form our own opinions on right and wrong, but we always need to listen for those opinions to matter.
They were born with these feelings towards men. They also have feelings for women as well. They just don't want to act upon those feelings. That's their personal rights to decline it. Everyone needs to show compassion and respect their decision and the love they have for their wives. And everyone needs to show compassion and respect and love to everyone no matter their religion, sexuality, color, etc... We all need to treat people the way we want to be treated!
I think there is a misunderstanding of the message this show is displaying. It is showing that living the commandments of God is possible even if one struggles with same gender attraction. This is the whole message. Nobody can transform who they are, but they can make adjustments to be exactly obedient.

The backlash to this show doesn't make very much sense to me. I expected the Mormons to object. This almost seemed like GLAAD was trying to censor inconvenient kinds of gayness that didn't fit the popular narrative...
Listen people get to choose their lives and whom they love period. Attraction is not the be all and end all of ones life if someone can find happiness in someone above all that to me thats true love it shouldn't be taken out of context or considered suppression because they are fully aware and purposely making the decision for themselves no one else they are as open of it as a book but see a bigger picture and or want i totally get it

It is always a choice. if someone wants to be with a woman despite his feelings for men.. who cares. some woman are attracted to woman but stay with a man, its the same thing. Maybe they want kids or .. and those things may be more important to them.

People need to stop judging them. Leave them alone, it is their own life and they are grown people. This is has nothing to do with other people and their feelibgs, this is how this group of people live their life. If you dont want to be judged, don't turn around and judge someone else.

This is super simple it’s like being in love with a man and of course I’m a female and know that he is not good for me and that even though I’m attracted to him I will fall for someone who I can live the way I want ! That’s what these couples are doing the husband is attracted to men but also to a woman but they want a traditional family it’s what they want nobody forced them to marry a woman they had a choice weather to be with another man but they didn’t want to we need to respect that as well ! I don't think its a dangerous show. its real. whats dangerous is man amde religions dictating all areas of ones life to where they live confused or in shackles.
I think it will help young gay men prove that they can have a relationship with a woman and have a family with woman without hooking up more kids people don't like that idea but I think it'll do a lot for our country then you don't let this air
