The Lord led me to this video today. I burst into tears after watching because this video is another level of confirmation that He is healing me from the trauma of the past. The root of rejection in my life has caused me to fall into performance based Christianity and trying to earn the Father's love and affection. I see a lot of people performing for each other at praise and worship time too. And the same ones going up front for prayer each week. I do go to church regularly, but I see why people don't
I really appreciate your teachings. They speak directly to my issues of rejection and performing based mindset. I grew up in ministry and it became a performance rather than a worship. Im very grateful I found you last week-ish. Slowly digesting your material. I had recognized I am a perfectionist, (thanks to FlyLady, found her in 2002) but I had never made the obsession compulsive jump (filled with religion)... sigh. It's a lot to process. I remember in the mid 90's I would literally pray for hours, all day. The main bulk of my prayer was "God forgive me" I feared unconfessed current sin. For hours and hours months and months. I only felt safe on my knees in repentance. One day God spoke to my heart and it was an Ah-ha moment. He spoke clearly after my begging for forgiveness, on & on. Forgive me, please forgive me, Lord. "I did." He says. Huh. Already did. It occurs to me, if I just believe that, all the hours of begging for something that is already done, is a waste of time, and unnecessary. Baby steps. One thing at a time (I haven't listened to this video yet). In the past year I have been working through compulsive overeating and in the journey I have discovered so much FEAR. What a journey to walk the road without medicating the obsessive compulsive part.
Thank you for your teachings brother and for you and your wife's ministry. It has been a much needed help in my journey to receiving God's love for me and believing I'm valuable to Him.
I am overwhelmed and in such a mess. I need to be closer to God. My addiction and coming from a background of trauma, rejestion, and religious OCD performance living has me so lost and confused. I have so much condemnation that i don't know how to approach and receive from God. PLEASE HELP!!
Oh my goodness... I was totally meant to run into this video. It sounds exactly like me. I'm I'm in the phase where I'm shedding a lot of things during this financial hardship phase as my ambition's had Totally changed. I have the option to keep going where I was going and possibly make a lot of money but be unhappy. But instead at 35 I'm going back to school And will be living as a starving student again, but a new journey in a field that I feel God is calling Me To.

Hey Mark...enjoying ur videos...been a Christian many years & yet still struggle with being able to see/perceive/feel God (the Father's) love for me. Have any advice for those of us who unfortunately had horribly abusive/Narcissistic earthly fathers? Makes it REALLY difficult. Jesus' love comes easier for me (which makes sense...he died for us...how much more loving can u get?) But an actual FATHER'S love just eludes me most of the time. I still keep talking to him & trying every day. Just feel this wall. Would love 2 see a video on that subject. Thx 4 all u do :)
I am desperate for real help! I have psoriasis on my scalp (badly) and on my elbows. I get some freedom and experience His love and grace then idk what happened. But it's bad right now. I feel my body can't take any more.
I'm praying for u Heather. If you haven't, Google natural remedies to heal it. Although it can be a challenge, try to live stress free, eat healthier, exercise, enjoy life.
