Wow! I’m from Guatemala too. My mom unfortunately made the decision to bring me here to the US illegally. I’m 18, and Fortunate to have a work permit. I’m also into software engineering/development and have been self taught. This was so inspiring. I plan to leave this country for a country in Europe like Germany

Here the situation to get the medication is very complicated and frustrating, I know that there are better treatments in Europe. I can relate to Jen's story so much and going through the same in my life. I have been in two minds over taking a step back from where I am in life and moving to Germany for my masters. The constant back and forth of two voices in my head debating (not to worry, I'm perfectly sane) if I should bite the bullet and loss of pay for 2 years while I study in Germany vs coast through life where I am. Life is good here, compared to the struggle of early life and borderline poverty like what Jen described; but I know I will forever kick myself with the "what if". I think I needed this honest unbiased raw heart to heart from Jen. Submitted my application on uniassist couple of days ago (and still was unsure) but I think this cleared the fog. Life is for those who seize it. Also Yvonne's support throughout the video showed the rock she is in Jen's journey. You two are winners, always remember that. viele Gluck!

First of all I want to thank you for all the work that you put in your content here on RU-vid. Thanks a lot. I am a new subscriber but I have already shared a ton of your videos with my expat friends who live here in Germany. Some I shared for your ideas and some just for the fun. Over the years I have found some very good friends here in expats. People from Greece, Syria, Tunisia, United States, Ireland. However, only since I have met those persons I have become fully appreciative of the life that I am living in Germany. And by no means am I either wealthy or privileged in the common meaning and never have I been. But I feel very very privileged that I was born in this country and that I can live here.🙏🙏🙏

In case this is helpful to anyone: I would add that studying in Germany is probably an easier way if you want to move here. Studying at public universities is free for international students (except in two states, the last time I checked). There are completely English-taught Master's in some subjects (economics is one) - of course, learning German is still recommended because you would have access to many more job opportunities. You get an 18-month job-searching residence permit after you graduate (I found a job that allows me to apply for the work permit after almost 18 months lol - it's been a difficult time for job seekers, and I also don't speak fluent German). If you don't want to do university, there are also vocational training (Ausbildung) and dual studies programs. Some programs may offer a German language learning component, but I am not sure how common these are.

This video was so touching, thank you for sharing. It also gave me that needed push as someone who is also looking to move to Germany one day it gave the renewed motivation to not give up and keep pushing in order to reach my dream especially NOT to stop applying for jobs and hopefully one day someone will pick my application and give me that yes

Hello you two! 😊 You do a great job in this channel. 👏 I can relate in many ways with Jen's experience, views and the things she values in Germany and there are even a few coincidences between our paths. I still miss quite a lot some aspects of what "life quality" also is to me and that I have to do without, but I guess you can never have it all. One should just keep track and update what the priorities are every once in a while. Saludos y sigan así! 🌸 PS: I'm originally from Argentina... and I'm sorry about that woman! 🙈😣
