My Least Favorite Weapon gets a big REWORK + BUFF! (Season 10 Apex Legends) 

the problem is he is firing it like a hemlock and he's constantly getting the initial recoil kick that only happens at the start, thus interfering with his aim.

Hold the trigger until you hear the overheat warning, control recoil, repeat. Don’t bother tapping the Lstar because it does have that nasty initial jolt.

The LStar has a big kick at the start, but then the recoil pattern becomes a straight line, so to use it a mid range you control the first kick and then pull straight down, it becomes easier than most weapons when you get the hang of it (honestly it's a bit nasty, I wouldn't mind that Respawn reverted the recoil pattern to the zig zag it had before). It also follows recoil pattern while hip firing, so it can be compensated to increase hip fire accuracy. Once understood it simply becomes a better Volt, although I understand why you don't like it and I think it's completely valid.

I’m my opinion, the L Star was AMAZING in Titanfall.

Love these clip vids, I need to stop by on your streams. I love using it with Rampart just because you cool down quicker and can hold down the trigger longer. I prefer using it as my close range option and combo with an ar or marksmenrifle for long range engagements.

With a 3x scope on it and if you micro violently shake your arm, it resets the recoil so you'll get 100% accuracy. It's insane.

I liked the L Star before the buff as an early game weapon but I love it even more now. I’ve had several good games with it recently making it my preferred energy weapon even over the volt though you definitely need something else for anything long range.

When I started at the very beginning of season 3 the L-Star was my favorite care package weapon and when it was moved to the floor I used it often. The projectile size paired with the headshot multiplier was insanely good. You’d melt people in buildings bc they couldn’t see and you were hitting headshots left and right from the insanely large projectile it had. Now they reworked it and it’s good, but I liked the pre-rework as well. Definitely better now but I used it regardless, especially with Rampart’s passive.

As someone who used L-STAR since season 7, I studied this gun as much as I could. The projectile speed is 5% faster than R-99's bullets, and 7% slower than Volt's bullets (speed in units per second: 21000, 22000, 23500). The bullet drop is almost non-existent, even at 300m you barely have to aim higher, it's even less bullet drop than Sentinel, or Triple Take. Base L-STAR overheats after 22 shots, if you don't overheat it, it'll cool down in about 1 second. (If you're about to overheat close to someone, punch them, and by the time you take out your L-star again, it'll be cooled off) Every level of energy mags extends time before overheat by 2 shots (Base 22 and then 24/26/28) The recoil kicks to the left on first few shots, and then it's pretty much vertical recoil. Before the nerf last week, L-STAR used to have -50% movement speed while ADSing (like ARs), but now it's -60% (like othere LMGs). L-STAR is also capable of opening doors if you shoot at the handle.

The gild mag on the lstar lowers the time if you gun overheats so it doeasent have that animation

once you get past that first kick and get used to that, it's pretty slappy with a x3 on it now. been using it for a while as my CQC gun but now i can run it with a shotty just fine, and it's so nice when you feather it right nad just keep going for 200 rounds. and the pellets are just as big as they used to be, not just visually so clavicle hits = headshots and thats why it's stupid.

I believe the L Star only got a visual projectile shrink, and the projectile itself is still the same size. This was just so you don't flash yourself when aim down sights with the gun. The L Star is also really good in Arenas, and at the start if you land with an L Star you can do some strong damage early on. L Star is still a meh gun in my opinion that relies on closer mid range engagements to stay usable, because by then if you are far away the other lmg's, the ar's, marksmen and snipers are better. And any closer is better for smg's and shotguns

I never had a problem using the Lstar, so when it got buffed I absolutely shredded with it. I still think it’s a really good gun. Ofc everyone will stick to the Volt, R99, Flatline, Prowler but the Lstar imo is worth picking up now. I love the gun, I just can’t use it without Loba because the ammo is never around.

You can hold fire for longer, even at long range the bullet size Is so forgiving that of you unload your mag, you will probably get the down

L-Star three times is my favorite. It's initial recoil is high. But as you keep shooting, the recoil beomes very little. Most important: *You use it mid range

I personally only use the L*when I’m inside of rooms or holding angles because you can shoot them and then when you’re back off you don’t have to reload and you can instantly go back to fighting

The L-star is unique in a lot of ways, I think that’s why a lot of people like using it. Close range, not having to reload, or a short reload after a lot of dmg output is crazy good. You can just fire at a person who IS reloading. It may not have the best statistical dps, but it does have the best damage output over longer periods because you don’t have to reload. If used correctly. This allows you to pin down players who are playing cover, for longer, players who are used to either bait out reloads or peek when they think the other is reloading/healing. Giving your team time to either heal/reposition/reload.

I agree with what others have said. You really can't just shoot 3 bullets, stop, and then fire 3 more with the L-star. Just keep firing that thing 'til right before the cooldown is needed.

I really loved the L-Star before it's changes because it had really good damage and relatively easy recoil if you had a scope (I loved using the 2x4 just because people would freak out when getting hit at marksman/sniper ranges with an L-Star lol). People complained about the muzzle flash and larger projectiles, but I preferred it since it was basically a continuous flash grenade if you landed your spray. R.I.P old L-Star and your secret op status.

The tap fire was a tough watch. I know there’s a bunch of other comments giving advice already on it, but hold that bugger down until just before the end. Mag dumping people with L-star is so satisfying!

I used to always use the L star last season because Zeus showed how to use it, and now that it’s been buffed people complain, it was great before too as long as you knew how to use it

No one else uses the lstar in my friend group because of the slow bullet travel. No drop so it's even easier to overcompensate just enough without that factor.

KANDY! A good tip, if youre using the L-Star BURST FIRE. You can't full mag with one unless you're close range. Burst fire for mid to longer range. The longer the range, the shorter the burst. Mid range? 5-6ish bullets. Long? 3-4 bullets.

My favourite thing is that the game has specific visuals to find your team mates, and it's super easy to see pings and you team mates are like "WhERe R yOu" and "WheRE ArE yOU BeINg SHot froM?"

If you play ranked arenas at least in diamond you pretty much either abuse L-star or get abused. The gun can be jitter-fired an shot from pretty much infinite range, and its poke power is insane. bloody op

For the full L-Star potential you should have played Rampart.

Kandy you need to put a 3x on it and its a laser. Also you're getting affected by the bullet trajectory. Don't look at the bullets just aim the crosshair on thw enemy and shoot

So kandy's least favorite guns are the second best lmg in the season where lmgs op, and something that I would argue is tied for best sniper in the game. Wack.
