Lots of people have asked about my workout routine over the past year so I decided to break it down the best I could in this video. Does minimalism inspire my workout? Yes and no.
The simplicity of my workout has come with time, especially as my days have gotten more filled. I try to focus on the little things everyday rather than trying to catch up one or two days a week.
Hope you enjoy the video. Here are some more links you might want to check out...

Split your week into a 4 day gym attendance minimum. Torso: Standard Bench Press Incline Bench Press Wide-Lat Pull Down Shoulder Press Military Press Lower Body: Squats Deadlifts Lunges 4 sets of 10-12 Reps. Make sure to look these exercises up to do them properly and take it slow, learn how much you can lift and build towards a set goal. These are called Compound Exercises. They workout multiple parts of your body at once. Eat clean, look up calorie calculators online to see how much you need to achieve your goal. Also get a pull up bar and do pull ups and pushups in between homework, video game matches, etc.

Put on some running shoes and go for a 30 minute jog or walk to start out with. When you get back home you can do push-ups, squats, lunges, crunches, and an assortment of other exercises. No gym required. No money required, except for shoes which you probably already have. Keep it simple. After all, this is a minimalist channel.

Love you dude but the workout philosophy? Can do it much more minimalistic and effective. Do full body 2-3 times a week for like 45min session oder upper lower 4 times a week 40 minute sessions. Most important is the frequency(which is too low training the muscle group once a week. 48 hours is optimal). Other the. That still cool insight

My inspiration for minimalist workout came from a Michael Keaton movie Desperate measures where the antagonist in prison is using makeshift weight training items. I just do my triceps and deltoids because I enjoy cross-country mountain biking and these exercises are complementary. Low maintenance dips and lateral raises as and when I feel like it one or two sets of about 110 to 150 partially assisted.

@MarylZ
@MarylZ 5 лет назад
My two cents: keep your food simple. Fruits, veggies, meat if you're into that (eggs to, they're versatile). But prepared in a simple way, in your own kitchen if possible. Control the amount of salt and oil. Add spices that you like. Now you're gold. That's how I see a minimalist approach to food, anyways, and what I like to do when preparing my own food. I don't go for anything fancy or complicated.
@keminva

ikr, bro splits are the least minimalist workout strategy possible. I do 2-4 45-minute (including cardio) full-body workouts a week with power yoga and low-impact pilates of my recovery days and it works brilliantly for me. I'm leaner, more vascular and more athletic Haven't done bro-splits since I was 16. Terrible days. I put on muscle but made hardly any fitness gains. Plus each workout was insanely boring. Also, If I got ill/injured or couldn't workout, it would throw everything off track. With full-body workouts, you can just jump straight back in after a hiatus and get right on track. I try and tell my gym-noob friends how rubbish bro-splits are and how superior full-body workouts are and they don't believe me XD. They've been indoctrinated by the cult of bro-splits like the guy who made this vid
