Oh that's an upgrade. I love my 1996. It looks a lot like yours. It has the 5.2 in it now and will be getting a 5.9 out of a wrecked 2001 Dakota.

I appreciated this video. I have a 93 extended cab with the 5.2 in pretty much the same state as yours but with way more mi!sage. The fuel lines rotted out so had to replace those and it let in rainwater from above the 3xtended cab window which I fixed. But had no other issues.

I love the old school 1st generation Dodge Dakota for 1987-1996 model year! This fascia fits for 1991-1996 model year! The taillights is the generation of Dodge Trucks no matter for D/W Series & Dakotas for 1981-1996 model year! Due to slow sales 1996 will be the last year of the old school body style of Dodge Dakota as the new Dakota & Durango is coming for 1997 model year!

The fuel filter is in the tank on the fuel pump assembly which is what causes that running rough idle issue from time to time now days it's cheap enough to replace fuel pump assembly and at the same time add an inline fuel filter outside the tank which is like $8 @ autozone for a metal universal unit like GM's have used since the early 80's I did mine at 165k miles and it eliminated that issue & I'm at 215k now.. also ther are lil filters in each injector which I switched out at the same time which was like $5 on Amazon for 8 injector filters plus 8 o-ring seals for injector

My 93 has caught fire twice coming from the injector are burned up my main harnesses and a whole bunch of other shit be careful to change out all fuel lines as soon as you see any signs of cracking or wear

its not about the hp bud. its a v8 and has tons of torque down low on the rpms. meaning it ill pull harder off the line with a load. something you cant replicate with a 4 cyl or 6 cyl wt more hp in todays standard light pickups. maybe you arent well versed in that aspect of engines.
