hopefully its not much of a personal question but what does a house in a neighborhood like that cost? always wanted to live somewhere like that but always assumed itd be pretty expensive
It's awesome when you achieve your goal or you're able to live your dream, and I guess (in a sense) you've done both by getting this Accord. Congratulations on the car, she really is a beauty and I'm sure it'll be fun for ages to come!
Congrats on your new car! You're going to love it! You also picked the 6 speed! Best Choice. Thanks for helping to save the manual transmissions! I've worked at Honda stores for a number of years and the Accord and Civics are super reliable and take little service and can be driven hard too. Great you avoided the CVT as they are NOT fun... I currently own a vintage 1994 Honda Accord LX with 2.2L 4cyl engine but automatic. LOL Still going and shows no signs of problems and have done only the most basic service OilFilter ect. Goodbye to your old Mitsu. It seemed to be a good old friend.
I won't drive a car without a manual! Yeah Honda is my favorite car maker tbh, they're fun little cars and can take a beating to boot. I'll miss the Eclipse a little though just because it was my first car.
My dads moving away for work so he gave me his 2002 honda accord coupe. It has a v6 and only about 70 000 miles on it and in amazing condition. I love the thing xD
That's awesome man! Just be careful if it has an automatic transmission; Honda 4 speed autos from that gen Accord are very weak and the V6 is honestly too much of an engine for the trans.
This car looks similar to my mom's 2013 Honda Accord, especially interiors. But her's had the steering wheel on the right side instead of left because people drive the car on left side in my country.
Wow, an Eclipse as a first car. That's quite sweet, man. I just got my first car, an '04 Chevrolet Corsa. Quite basic, but at least I have a ride. Enjoy your Accord m8, it's gonna last ya a long time. 5:58 Heh, as soon as you said "bumper-to-bumper" I thought of Doug DeMuro, spamming those words.
love it man! only thing I wouldn't be happy about what isn't the cars fault, but the dealership is they should have detailed it before they gave you the keys, swerl marks on a black car are very easy to see. other than that I'm looking forward to more videos on this beast
I just purchased a 2013 Accord V6 Coupe! Unfortunately it is automatic. I had the choice between manual but 4 cylinder, or 6 cylinder but automatic. Had to go for the V6 aha
Buying gold or jewelry can boost you credit a lot especially when you are first starting out and pay it off within a period of 1-2 years. It does have to be expensive. Even 200-300 dollars of jewelry can boost your credit a crap ton.
I’m about to get one, the 2013’s are gettin older now but the one I’m lookin at is in great shape and has a modern interior. Unfortunately it’s the 4 cylinder because I can’t find any 6’s in my area. But it is a 6 speed manual so I’m alright with it. I don’t exactly need a fast car considering this’ll be my commuter car to and from work and school (50 miles a day) I think this’ll be perfect. I currently drive a 2011 Hyundai Accent with manual windows and locks, no cruise control absolutely nothing. So anything will be an upgrade. How has your held up through the years??
The V6 6 speeds are certainly hard to find. I actually traded this car for a 2017 V6 Coupe (automatic) in February 2018. But while I had the 2013 it did fine. Burned a little oil but that was about it. Good car, good gas mileage.
Ryan Gehret sweet! Thanks for gettin back to me. Also if you don’t mind, did you trade it because it was an upgrade, or because you didn’t like it anymore?
Purely to upgrade, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten the same car again lol. It was really two things: the black was too hard to keep clean and I got tired of that after a while, and when I heard Honda was going to kill the Accord Coupe and the V6 along with it I had to get one while I still could. Love the car overall, can't really think of anything I'd change about it. Both engines are good but man I love the V6.
Also a side note, given the warranty you have Honda can replace that visor - we went through several on our Kia, and they were all covered under the regular included 10/100000 warranty.
Dell0304 That's very true, but the dealers do usually oblige buyers that want issues fixed with their car before taking delivery or soon thereafter. I would imagine that Honda would replace it w/o questions or charging you extra because it was already defective.
Well, I did ask the dealership if they'd fix it and they said the whole visor would have to be replaced (code for "no"). I'll likely have to rig something up myself to get it to stay. They are however buffing out the scratch on my hood for free so that's cool.
Wait what? Lol I just saw your review on ps2 slim and you said in that video "I wish I had a ps3" but here you managed to get a car. Did your parents not like buying you video game stuff or something?
I don't see why the dealership wouldn't replace the visor I've had a used car before and they replaced a few things that broke after I had the car with the same type of warranty you got. You just have to call and make an appointment. But hey if you really want to do it yourself then kudos to you!
between a 2015 honda accord or the 2017 hyundai elantra, which one is more reliable even over 100k? im getting a new car next month and i'm choosing between those two. looking for reliability more than anything else, but i don't really like toyota's otherwise i'd get one. I've heard honda's have always been reliable, and hyundai's used to have a low reliability rate, so i'm really curious about the newer models that i've heard are better.
I don't know much about recent Hyundais other than they have gotten better compared to 20 years ago. If you're considering the Accord and can't drive/get a manual I would avoid the 4 cylinder automatic option, because those only come with CVT transmissions, but that's just a personal preference of mine (I hate CVTs). The V6 models come with a traditional automatic. Test drive one to see for yourself if you like it or not. I have heard about a pretty serious recall with recent Hyundai cars for engine failure, so I'd avoid those with the affected engine. Based on that alone I'd say Honda is still more reliable than Korean brands. Give the newer Camrys a look too, they may be somewhat boring but they'll run forever (but so will a Honda).
Dell0304 thanks so much for the reply!! have you had any problems with your cvt? or any other major problems woth your honda since youve had it? also how many miles have you put on it by now?
Mine is a manual transmission, lol. The only problems I've had with my car are it uses a little oil, and the driver side visor doesn't stay up all the way. Other than that, solid. I've put 16K miles on it since I got it (it has 43K total).
Don't have a lot of experience with honda's they seem like nice cars except for the rice rockets with fart cans or sometimes just open header but i would definately own one if i got a chance to own one around maybe the same year as yours.
I have a full license now, it was provisional till I was 18. In California you can drive alone once you get your provisional license but for the first year you can't have passengers under 20 years old and you can't drive between 11pm-5am. I got mine when I was 16, so that's long gone. I turn 20 in 2 months. You can't drive alone with a permit at all.
Dell0304 i bought the same one. mine is ex-l 4cyl since i wanna save money. ive been driving a 95 sc400 v8 for 5 years. time to save some money yet still drive a nice sporty looking car.
I freakin hate Honda for discontinuing the Accord coupe for 2018...I was going to trade in my 2016 civic for that car but I guess not. I kinda don't like how Accord sedans look when compared to Accord coupes. Honda doesn't realize that their styling on coupes are so much better than the sedans, it's kinda sad.
Sweet deal. A mid-size family car with a manual shift isn't a terribly common thing, at least as far as I know. Unrelated, but until I read the document linked in the description, I automatically assumed GFY meant "Go Fuck Yourself." I'm a terrible person.
I don't think so. The guy who looked at the Eclipse said it was pretty much done and he's a damn good mechanic according to Ryan, so...if it were the clutch it'd be an easier fix.
Toyotas AND Hondas last forever, tbh. I see 80s Civics and Accords around my parts all the time. Same with Corollas. I think pretty much the only Japanese OEM that didn't get the memo on reliability was...Mitsubishi. LOL
man u rich spoiled brat what did u buy that with daddy's money /s Seriously though, this is an insanely nice car. Maybe one day I'll learn to drive stick and be able to give this thing a proper spin.
Uh, he doesn't really drive it like a maniac. The problem is he learned on this car, and before, someone else learned on it. That'll stress a transmission pretty bad. And we've nailed the oil consumption issue in Japanese motors long, long ago.
+kirlis420 +kirlis420 k whatever u need... +dell0304 +xodium yeah I guess your right, my grandmother's 2001 Mitsubishi still going strong at 140k miles lol, I hope the Honda lasts a while. Good luck selling the Eclipse, and I hope you get your corolla fixed chris
